I love how clean and neat the interior looks here. The glass cases of baked goods are so tempting! We ended up getting bubble tea which was the main reason we stopped here. I would love to go back to indulge in some of the sweet treats they had! Bubble tea was great, perfect amount of sugar and ice that I had requested. read more

I discovered this place when I went shopping at Ranch 99. I am a serious bubble tea fanatic. I didn't mind the bubble tea place within Ranch 99 until they started charging about $7 bucks for a large standard bubble tea. I gave this place a try. Now I will only go to this place (if I can help it) for the cold Mango Green Tea with tapioca (boba). I personally do less ice and half sugar and it's so refreshing! In addition their baked goods are great too! I tried their cakes (tiramisu / mango mouse) and was not a fan. Great service, clean atmosphere, affordable drinks... I will definitely come back. read more

A hidden gem! The staff was so friendly and helpful. My daughter got a caramel macchiato and a vanilla twist that was delicious. I had a ham and cheese danish and bringing home Portuguese custard cups for my husband. Bakery is so clean and food so, so fresh!! Will definitely be back! read more

Branch location of the Taiwanese bakery! Stopped by for some fresh baked goods. They even say "Fresh bread!" when coming out of the kitchen w trays of buns. Everything looked fresh and nicely presented. There's a refrigerated cake section for mousse and other cakes. A Happy Lemon will soon open within the store, definitely competing with Coco that's aldo opening soon within 99 Ranch a few stores down. read more

Sunmerry Bakery - 2 for $4 Brioche, $1 Nutella bun and $1 Custard Bun - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Edison, New Jersey

Sunmerry is a cute Asian bakery that's in the same shopping plaza as 99 Ranch. It reminds me of Paris Baguette, except the store serves more 'traditional' baked goods that you'd find at a Chinese bakery (i.e.: pork buns, pineapple bun) What I love about Sunmerry is their unique drink selection. There are salted cheese drinks that I have never heard of at other Asian tea shops. The store was running a happy hour bogo promo on select flavors, and I ended up ordering a lemon yakult aloe drink. Very tangy the first couple sips, but it was very delicious! The only negatives is that there's not much seating, so it might be hard to get a spot if you're coming with more than 4 people. read more

I didn't know this exist until someone told me about it. A very cosy place for some fresh baked goods and a cup of coffee/bubble tea. Not sure if they actually associate with "happy lemon" brand which i think it's a taiwanese brand, but they have their logo. but they don't have much variety compare to the "real" happy lemon place i went to before. so i am not sure. if you are looking for a place to hang out, and to buy fresh bake bread, pastry, fancy cake, enjoy a cup of joe or whatever special drink they offer, this is really a place to be. everyone i went with that day got something with "milk foam" and all of them said it tasted good. i wasn't too adventurous that day, so i only get the regular milk tea, which i though it was pretty good. Would try it again when i am around the area, and would try something else for sure. We also bought a mango cake to go, which came out to be very very good. Not too sweet like a lot of the American bakery, the cake was light and fluffy. everything was very fresh. very delicious for sure!! read more

The food we purchased was amazing. We bought different pastries and they all tasted delicious. Along with some bubble tea drinks which were great. Recommend this bakery to anyone in the mood for something sweet. read more

We drove 45 minutes just to try out this place. Bolo Buns: 10 Stars!!! Black Forest and Strawberry Cake: 10 Stars...amazingly light and moist. Scallion buns are good but a bit on the greasy side. Custer Roll is a bit dense and $3 a slice! Egg tarts are more like the Portuguese style than Asian...the crusts are harder. read more

Overall Fantastic and always clean. Food/Drink Ordered a simple hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was a bit bland and they did not a good job or mixing it up well. However, the pastries, cakes were on point. As a non-coffee drinker it was good to see many hot and cold tea and various drinks to that satisfies quenches WiFi With a purchase of anything you can able to use the wifi. Through this we were able to use it no problem Seating area It is comfortable clean but wish there were more tables Overall friendly staffs and great food nothing to complain read more

Reasonable taiwanese bakery. Clean and fresh baked goods - with a good variety. Bubble teas and other goods available (though not as much variety as other local places). Less varieties of cakes than some of the other bakeries - but all of their desserts have been delicious - especially the custard cups read more

Great food, every time I visit. The sweets aren't too sweet, just enough. The cakes are gorgeous. The bread and pastry are perfect and they have a nice selection of savory snacks too. Their coffee is also great. I haven't had the tea yet. Maybe next time. Prices are reasonable. It's so hard to find a good bakery in NJ. read more

Service: great! friendly workers. Inside: also great, spacious and clean. Prices: fair enough! Food: Oreo cream puffs are very yummy!! The cream is cool and thick, not the same type of cream generally used in french/italian cream puffs from what I've tried. Frank rolls are decent, would be better I think if less sweet--I think it's the ketchup drizzled on them that adds the sweetness. Sandwiches: They are alright. Before I tried one I thought they were well-priced, but after trying, I actually think they're too small/light for what you're paying for. Green tea croissant: Too sweet!! I didn't realize this was a dessert before I bought it, but it is very sweet and the green tea parts are like crunchy/hard on the croissant, which I felt didn't compliment the croissant's texture at all. I would not have it again. There is a microwave too if you want to heat up a pastry to make it taste oven-fresh! read more

Cute bakery with a lot of options and decently priced items!! They have all types of pastries -- breads, cakes, tarts. They also have Happy Lemon bubble tea. I had the mushroom & cheese roll and a canele; both were very good. They have a microwave by where the napkins and sugar are for you to heat up your items, if you want. Definitely coming back to try some of those cream puffs and bubble tea!! read more

I've been here on two different occasions now and I honestly do love this place. There's a good amount of seating and a lot of people take their food to-go. The baked goods are neatly organized with their names and the ingredients underneath them. They are fairly priced and taste good. The workers are helpful. They have almond milk for your coffee. Try the cookies and creme drink! It's so good. I get it with the tapioca balls. Note to the owners: I know it happens in other places but please be wary of little kids opening the covering and touching the food. I saw it happen once while I was there and surprised that neither the parent nor the workers did anything to stop it. read more

Found this bakery accidentally and I'm so happy I did. I was looking for chinese pork buns that I used to buy from the bakery inside the Hong Kong Supermarket on Rt.18, which is now closed down. The ones that have a slightly sweet dough and I was disappointed at first because the pork buns they offer are much differnt and not what I was looking for, my son however loved them. My son and I were like kids in a candy shop, they offer so many different types of buns and rolls, both sweet and savory, we didn't know where to start. We love so many different items, my son loves the pork buns, they are more savory than the ones I like and are used to. The green onion roll and the mushroom cheese are just delicious. I love the red bean paste bun, the walnut bun which is filled with sweetened black sesame seeds. The maple croissants are delicious, especially when they bring out a fresh incredibly crunchy tray. I love the walnut/coffee roll and my kids love the green tea version. It's more expensive than the Chinese bakeries inside Asian markerts but the quality, cleanliness and staff are just wonderful and well worth the difference. When you check out every item is packaged in individual thick plastic bags, the boxes for the cakes are amazing. If you bring a cake as a gift to the hosts of the next dinner party or get together you go to, the box alone will draw attention because of it's quality. When you actully taste the cake you'll be thrilled because not only are they packaged beautifully and look delicious they actually taste amazing too. There are a lot of items I haven't tasted yet and look forward to going back and trying them, I'm sure I'll find new favorites on each trip. read more

BE CAREFUL!!! There may be aluminum foil in the bread! Check before eating! I stopped here with my children on a Sunday morning and found aluminum foil baked into the nutella cookie bun my kids were eating. If I didn't see it, my kids would have eaten the foil :( thought this should be brought to the store's attention. Talked to a lady manger, who explained this is very common for the bread they make and it can't be avoided...... A girl sitting next to me said she also complained to them before with no results. She suggested to me that I talk to another store mgr...maybe he was too busy that morning because he didn't pay attention to me on this issue at all...none of the people I spoke with even apologized......very disappointed... Just trying to make this issue known to anyone else with young children! Would hate to see anyone get sick or hurt from this! This is my 1st posted review on yelp. read more

Located in a popular Asian plaza, Sunmerry Bakery is a spot that I do enjoying swinging by after grocery shopping at 99 Ranch or after a meal of hot pot. I usually come here for the Happy Lemon drinks and sometimes their pastry. I love the drinks! Very they have a huge variety of flavors and novelty, such as the cheese foam drink that is creamy and fragrant. I also tried their pastries. They offer a huge selection of Asian baked breads and sweets and "Asian style" western cakes, which is great if you like that "Asian taste." The cakes are very spongey, fine, and sweet. There's always a line and has a decent amount of foot traffic getting grab-and-gos, but the line goes very quickly. If you want to sit down, there are several tables for you to sit and chat, but it does get quite packed. read more

I had the worst tiramisu cake here. No fluff no coffee taste, no liqueu. it's very dry. Please don't come here. Don't waste your time!!

This bakery reminds me of 85 degree bakery (popular asian bakery) that's only found in California but is expanding around west coast. Almost all the breads looks similar. Every time i go to the west coast, 85 degrees is a MUST to bring back and i would bring 4 or 5 boxes full of breads, so it's nice to find almost a similar bakery. I personally LOVE sunmerry's nutella bread! A little crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside with not too sweet nutella filling. All their other breads are good also but to be honest not too much varieties like 85 degrees cause this is a smaller chain. Sunmerry is definitely my go to spot now when i want to eat some bread! read more

Selection great , items always excellent . Location convenient, prices reasonable, portions generous .

Decent selection of bread. Price is very expensive in my honest opinion. I expect higher quality for the price they charge for their bread. I Iike Paris Baguette better. read more

There's a new cafe in Edison, by TJ Maxx and the new grocery store. It's imitative of Paris Baguette, serving similar style pastries, both savory and sweet. However, the chairs are wooden, not plastic. I like this look better. It's smaller than Paris Baguette, seats maybe 20 people. Oh and the people are nicer here, in my opinion. I've had the twist donut a couple of times now-- it's good. They call it the French twist, 1.5. Apparently they had pastries for a dollar during their grand opening-- it's probably better that I missed that, as I would've been tempted to buy a few at once, and I really don't need to be eating more than one of these. The selection isn't as extensive as at PB, but that doesn't matter that much to me. To me, the most important characteristic is its ability to function as a reading / working cafe. That is, 1) not dead; there's life and activity there (check) 2) Ideally a mix of chatters and readers. (It's mostly families, or people sitting idly.) It would be great if they had salads or maybe some herbal teas, such as ginger. read more

The bread store is not too bad... there is not too much selection in the bread store and there was no more passion fruit pudding left.... their is a happy lemon attached... the 5 stars is for the servers that assisted me. I've been to this bakery a couple of times and have bought different things each time and all of them tasted good and so fresh! Today, I wanted to try their hot mocha and it didn't disappoint! It was perfectly made with just enough sweetness. I also tried their hazelnut bun/pastry with little chocolate chips on top(forgot what it's actually called) and it was good, lots of hazelnut filling inside, the bun was soft. I've also tried their iced coffee with salted cheese and it was also good and you can customize the sweetness of your drink. So overall, if I can rate it 10 stars I would! read more

Happy Lemon is inside this bakery and that's what I came for though I did check out the bakery too. Asian bread with high prices, kind of like Paris Baguette in that sense. I've had Happy Lemon in he Bay Area so I know they use fresh grapefruit, and so I got the grapefruit green tea. It was pretty good but the grapefruit seemed really diluted so it didn't taste too great. I got it with no sugar no ice as usual and it was okay. Including tax was $4.01 which is pretty steep for the smallest size; I live in NYC and this price exceeded places I go to there. There's some tables to sit at and chat while you enjoy your baked goods and/or drinks. read more
