They offer a vast selection of cakes and pastries, and I had my eye on the coconut tres leches that looked so scrumptious. It was kind of priced a little bit out of my budget today, and I instead got the gourmet chocolate cupcake. I also ordered a homemade iced tea to go with the cupcake, and they both were very delicious. The service was good and the person behind the counter helped me with a smile. This place is for sure not your typical cafe, and it's really geared for short stays. It's beautiful j side and I would definitely recommend it here whenever you are in the Edison or Metuchen area.

The rich, creamy texture combined with the robust flavor of rum and the sweet, chewy raisins created a delightful symphony of taste and texture. My companion opted for a strawberry ice cream shake. While it was well-prepared, the flavor didn't quite resonate with me, as strawberry isn't my preferred choice. However, for those who enjoy a classic strawberry shake, it would likely be a satisfying option. I am eager to return for another serving of the Rum & Raisin ice cream. Next time, I plan to enhance the experience by adding a sprinkle of walnuts or hazelnuts, introducing a delightful crunch that would complement the smooth, rich base. Great service and they have few outdoor benches as well to enjoy your ice cream.

The parking is inconspicuous and in the back shop. Make sure you dont miss it and turn into the realtor parking nextdoor. While they do have a shop, their actual store front was closed, which was a huge disappointment as we were trying to hide from the heat, but there are benches in the front of the store facing the street for some immediate seating options. The servers are your typical friendly-enough highschool/college-aged workers. They were sure to answer any questions I had and provided a requested sample, but I felt a bit disconnected and shut out from the screens and doors they are behind while you are trying to ask them questions. I get it may just be a cost-saving measure with the AC, but it made the whole interaction a bit sketchy to be honest. Oh well, all that comes with a hole-in-the-wall joint! In our urgency to escape the heat, we ended up downing the ice cream before I got pics~ I got the chocolate chip cookie dough and caramel cold brew, which was an AMAZING combo with chocolate chips in both ice cream flavors, and generous heaps of cookie dough. My friend got the cinnamon churro, and chocolate and peanut butter swirl, and he highly recommended the peanut butter swirl! Overall, they have some delicious and plentiful ice creams and they are generous with the portions here. If you are stopping by for a summer evening, I do believe its worth a try.

And when we were trying to get my son a different flavor, they had offered to let him try a bunch, which I feel like is a pretty normal thing, however, it completely slipped my mind and it was nice of them to offer. My son had gotten the truffle ice cream, and I had gotten pistachio and the s'more. I tried a little of each. The truffle was very good, but I really loved the s'more flavor. I felt like it had all the elements of s'more in it. And it was definitely a great recommendation, as the staff told me that it had won awards. All in all, I would definitely come back here. It's a pretty local spot, so I will definitely be back. If you're a local here and you've never been here, you should definitely give it a try.
