Cassata Cake
Viral S.

The best cakes, period. I honestly didn't even know they were eggless until I saw it on their packaging. Service was super quick and they offered to write the recipient's name and even included a birthday topper along with candles and a disposable cake cutting knife. The price was very reasonable and I will be coming back to try their fast food options next. I highly recommend their Cassata cake!

Ah! I wish can give 0 star. I went there for first time seeing reviews. Not a good experience. I went early afternoon provided they open at 10am. They weren't crowded or busy at all. They have a flyer that I have picture attached. offers a plum cake when you buy min. $20.00. After I made purchase which was little over 20 bucks. I wasn't offered the plum cake so asked for it. I was told they don't have it. So you open at 10 am, not busy at all. I was there around 1pm. I was little taken back as they had flyers everywhere posted. If you don't have your supply you shouldn't be advertising. I wasn't given a good response from the cashier. When I ask her for manager. She said he wasn't in and I asked for a phone number I can reach. I wasnt given one and was told to leave my number which I did and no one called me back. Terrible service. Just like wrong advertising their service is poor. I wouldn't go back again. Did anyone else had this kind of experience? I think next time I will go to another restaurant.

only takes 3 dollars

the cakes looked really appetizing but as soon as I walked in the smell was horrible, I didn't get to try anything or even get to experience any service because my head started to hurt and I felt bad. The smell just kept coming to me and I felt like throwing up. I bet the food is good but just the smell ruined my day

This is the a classic Indian Bakery with all things eggless making it a great vegetarian option for cakes , cookies and savory snacks. The ship is in a large strip mall in the heart of Edison off Oak tree Road . Their are known for their Khakra ( large thin crackers ) in different flavors is a perfect accompaniment to chai or coffee . The variety of cakRasMalai cake and Pistachio are my favorites. They also have ice cream and veggie puffs . All other savory packaged snacks are fresh and worth trying to pick your favorite . Pay a. Visit and you will be A regular !

I was so happy to get to experience this new bakery! When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked in and went to the counter. The bakery was well lit and very nice! They had both hot and chilled pastries. I got the chance to try some cookies and their awesome cakes. My favorite was the Oreo crunch! This place was really good and I had an awesome experience!

First timer .. in fact they just opened ... nice location . Very close to other good shops in oak tree. And it was spacious !! There are other bakeries around too.. we tried mango , pineapple cakes and they were tooooo good. They also had real pineapple pieces inside the cake and it tasted amazing. chai was good too.. not watery like other places. And veggie puff was good. Looks like a chain of bakery , from gujarat. Nice and quick service and lots of parking available outside . Thumbs up and good luck for ur future endeavors..

Excellent new bakery in town. All their products are eggless. We tried three flavors of their cakes and all the three were awesome. If had to rate their cakes by flavors, then it is Rasmalai, pistachio and then Mangoes. Their cakes were very soft and flavorful. We also got paneer puff, veg samosas and cannoli. All these tasted excellent. Overall a good spot to hangout and try good pastries. They also sell cookies and snacks. Maybe we will get them on our next trip.

They say it's white forest?

Nice location, Nice store.. Got a white forest cake for New Year, one of the worst! There was white greasy layer and cake had berry color on inside . Tasteless ! Felt like was eating sugar chalk

Cream roll

I went to Atul Bakery over the weekend with my parents. It recently opened up and heard mixed reviews. There's an enormous amount of varieties of desserts. However, the bakery is known for its cakes. I ordered a strawberry and orange cake pieces along with one cream roll. The cakes had an artificial flavor and was not moist, instead it was very dry and overly sweet. The cream roll was crunchy, but not flakey nor buttery. The roll did not have enough cream. The total price for these three items was ~$10. I would recommend visiting Hot Breads or Square Cut instead.

Ordered Paneer Puff pastry and it was not warm, tasty and smelled stale. It's certainly not worth all the buzz about it.

Sunmerry Bakery - SunMerry Bakery Haul (Free Pineapple Treat Given)

Just my opinion, but this is the best bakery in Central Jersey. Everything is always fresh and…read morestraight from the oven. Their cakes are beautifully decorated and delicious. They also offer tea, coffee, and refreshing fruit drinks in the summer. My go-to items are the almond croissant and the coconut buns, but the donuts are flaky and tasty too. They even have a membership program that gives you dollars off your purchases--definitely worth joining if you come often. Overall, if you're looking for a bakery to try, this place is absolutely worth a visit. There's plenty of parking and a few tables where you can sit, relax, and enjoy your treats.

Our first time at an Asian bakery since moving to Jersey! I funny enough heard about this in…read morepassing and not long after, spotted this place in the same shopping center as the 99 Ranch in Edison and I made a pit stop there (hence no drinks) before going on a grocery run. It was at night on a Saturday so many of the shelves were empty but they still had a few things left. Sunmerry appears to be a chain but one that I have never visited before until now so I can't really comment on what they have, but I did manage to grab: MATCHA CLOUD DONUT - This reminded me vaguely of the im donut donuts I tried in NYC. Very soft and pillowy and filled to the brim with a lightly sweet, matcha filling. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about this. RED BEAN MATCHA BAGEL - it's a matcha dough with red bean filling BUT the filling doesn't go all the way around. It goes maybe 65% so if you're splitting this with someone like I did, fingers crossed you both get a decent amount. The bagel was soft and in a bagel shape but it lacked the chew of a bagel. The filling was nice and different but the matcha taste was subtle - if that. Overall, liked the idea, but I wanted more of a bagel chew than what I got and to taste the matcha better. Maybe even have a more even share of the red bean. COFFEE BRIOCHE LOAF - my husband liked this one! Which is good because I got it for him. This is quite good. Soft, lightly sweet with a coffee top. We ate this maybe 12 hours after and much of the top layer had "melted" and gotten on the cellophane but it was still delicious. Perfection. I definitely scraped off the coffee bits from the cellophane so it didn't go to waste. PINEAPPLE BUN W/ MILK - I grabbed this one thinking there was a filling inside and there wasn't. I don't know if the bun was placed in the wrong location or the name is telling me the bun isn't vegan but it's a good pineapple bun but without anything inside, it was a tad dry. Maybe it needs a pat of butter like they do in HK. MELON PAN - I haven't had this in a good long while so I got it for fun. It's smaller than the pineapple bun and the topping is a little sweeter - I remember crunching on sugar crystals. It's not bad but also not filled so it's a tiny bit on the dry side. The place has tables to the side where you can enjoy your goodies. I didn't stay too long but they definitely serve drinks and delicious cakes as well. The staff were nice and the place seemed on the dim side. Fingers crossed I can go back during the day to get a better idea of what they have! In the meantime, this is a good place for an Asian bakery fix. They do list out ingredients under the names of their baked goods so that's awesome! From what I could see, their baked goodies are likely not vegan or gluten-free friendly, though...

If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

I wanted…read moreto order a custom SpongeBob theme cake for a 25th birthday party and I wanted it to look a certain way. La Bon had a form online where you can specify what you want and put pictures for inspiration. It was super easy and simple to do! I needed the cake by Sunday morning so I decided to place the order on Thursday since it was a holiday weekend and I knew they might be busy with orders. I put in a request for a 8" round cake with vanilla cake and chocolate custard filling. I submitted the request on Thursday afternoon and got a response by Thursday evening that I needed to call or come in person by Friday afternoon to officially place the order and pay. I called on Friday and spoke to Tina over the phone, she was really nice and took her time explaining the order to me and answering questions. I felt for a custom cake with this level of detail it was well worth the price which came out to about $80. I picked up my cake on Sunday with no issues and was shocked by how beautiful the cake came out. It was exactly what I wanted it to look like, the color was a perfect match to the picture I sent in and to top it all off, it was DELICIOUS! The cake was so moist and fluffy and the chocolate custard was just perfect. 1000% will be coming back here for more custom cakes- I couldn't have asked for a better experience and it was exactly what we wanted to celebrate for a 25th birthday.
