She let me know that they take our insurance and they close at 6pm today. I told her that was perfect and that we would be there soon. We got here and met with Veronica. She was super nice and very very knowledgeable. She walked me around so she could get an understanding of what I was looking for. I tried on Gucci, Cartier and more. She and my wife were so helpful in choosing my frames. I wanted both a regular pair and sunglasses. Victoria's patience was top notch..lol. Eventually, I found exactly what I needed. My wife's turn was next. Victoria was amazing with her as well. Veronica showed her many that hit the mark. My wife found a very nice pair of regular glasses. Veronica has excellent customer service. We did not know that a gentleman that was working there was actually the owner. His name is Sid. He is so nice and his energy is unmatched. Lyn helped me out and was super knowledgeable and easy to work with. I brought in a bunch of ideas and pics, and she really helped bring everything together. She gave honest suggestions on what would look better for my face instead of just going along with everything, which I appreciated. From frame size to lens sizing bring out a ruler to measure me up. She definitely felt like the specialist when it came to this type of custom work. Shoutout to the rest of the staff too--everyone was friendly and helpful throughout the process. She also helped me pick the perfect lens color to match the panther eyes on the frames, which came out What stood out was the attention to detail--especially with the diamond cuts. She pointed out small details I wouldn't have even noticed, which made a big difference in the final result. It did take about 1.5 months, but that's expected with custom lenses and special ordering. Definitely worth the wait. They do get busy, so I'd recommend making an appointment. I walked in and got lucky Lyn was available, but better to book ahead. Overall, really happy with how everything turned out.

I was just browsing for a new pair because my current sunglasses were getting loose and I needed to find frames that fit my thin and low nose bridge better. I found some frames I liked and Samantha let me try them on in all the colors they offered. After I decided on the colors, I was pleased to find out they were having a buy one get one free sale which I think they had last time I came in. I chose brown and black. When we got to the register we got to talking about my current sunglasses, also from Quay, and Samantha let me know they offer free adjustments for Quay sunglasses if you bring them in! She took one look at how they sat on my face and went to the back to adjust them; in no time she came back out and had me try them back on. She adjusted the sides and the nose pads, and to my surprise, she adjusted the nose pads the complete opposite way than I thought I needed and they fit me SO much better! My mind was blown realizing I didn't exactly need new sunglasses, I just needed them adjusted to fit my face correctly! I did need a new style though so I'm happy I found not one, but two colors in a new style. I also ended up purchasing the cute little black and gold zip up sunglasses case that I could potentially use as a wristlet wallet if I really wanted to. Drue assisted me during my initial visit, and when I called the store a few days later, she was also the one who answered the phone. She was immediately helpful and reassuring, confirmed availability of the replacement pair, and ensured everything was noted in my account, so the transaction could be completed smoothly. (Drue also did a great job adjusting my previous Quay sunglasses.) I Just wish there were more Quay locations in the Bay Area!! =)

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE! This is the store on the lower level near JC Penny. I bought a pair of…read moreexpensive sunglasses and asked about the return policy as I wanted to try them out to see how they fit. I should have walked out of the store as the girl who was there on 5/29 at 3:00 PM acted like she was doing me the biggest favor by helping me find the right fit. Her attitude was awful! I tried them in my car for one week. When they were not on my face, they went right back into their box. I never once took them out of the car. After one week, I decided to return them as they gave me a headache. In the store, the same exact girl took the glasses, went off the the side and held them up to the light. Then she got the other employee, who was also horribly rude, to hold them up to the light. Then she took them into the back of the store. This went on for over 5 minutes. She finally returned, handed them back to me and said they were damaged and could not be returned. I asked her where they were damaged. She pointed to the corner of the lens and across the other one and said there were scratches. I held them up and said there were no scratches. They were in pristine condition. She said there were definitely scratches and again I said there was nothing there no matter how I looked at them. She shrugged and said she would not take them back. She offered a 50% discount on another pair. So, I would have already paid for the pair I had plus would have to pay for half of another pair. I left very angry and called Customer Service. They said this did not comply with their policy, called the store and even they were told by the same rude girl that the glasses could not be returned. Then I had to fill out an online form, with a generic response the next day saying they would contact me. I decided to try to return them to the Walnut Creek store. I was greeted by Gary at this store, and he was so nice and accommodating, and he returned these glasses with no problem and no attitude. So if you live in Contra Costa County, avoid the Sun Valley store at all cost and shop at the Walnut Creek store, where you will be treated decently. The girls at the Sun Valley store need to be fired!!!!
