Sigh. There are good Subways and bad ones. This one has been hit or miss but lately missing more than hitting. They need help operationally. Recommendations: 1. Work cleaner and more neatly. The #1 thing that can sink an experience at Subway is a messy work environment. Use one CLEAN knife per sandwich. HIDE the dirty ones from view. Do not get one spec of Mayo on a sandwich if they didn't request it, even on the wrapper. Use one pair of gloves per sandwich. Clean up the counter after every sandwich or as you go. Minimize shoving down/compacting trash into the little holes on the counter with the gloves you're using to make a sandwich (sweeping excess trimmings in from the side is fine because your glove isn't touching anything but I've seen people get their whole forearm in that hole and then go back to my sandwich which is gnarly). 2. Assign roles and stick to them. Have one person do bread, meat and cheese (+ oven if necessary). One does vegetables and toppings/wrapping. One person *ALWAYS* on register if 2+ employees -- the employee who is fastest on register. If it's busy and you have enough employees, split vegetables and sauce/wrapping. I know all of this is super picky, but I've seen Subways pull it off and they end up being a cornerstone of the community. read more

I come here often from time to time and when I can in tonight at 1220am to get a Sandwhich for my self, I regret so much buying a subway... there were two girls working, one of them was chubby, curly blonde hair girl who wouldn't step talking; almost seemed like she was on Xanax cuz she didn't care about anything and lied to me that everything was out like: spinach, mozzarella. And one thing that was most disgusting was that there was a little green bell peppers left that was literally at the bottom of the tray soaking in water... also... all the containers had ice crystals all over! Which means they didn't care about TMP zone at all!!! One of the most disgusting subway I have been to in my life. I do not recommend this location to anyone, essocially during COVID! God knows about their personal hygiene.. yuck! Absolutely disgusting subway location! All the meats looked slimmy and watery, there was chicken in tuna and i asked for new fresh Tuna but were told they can't change the Tuna until it's out!! I took a bunch of pictures and sent it to the department of food & safety so they can deal with this! Here's a long overdue review for this subway. Love that it's open 24/7, very lacking customer service. I always have to ask for more of everything because they barely give you anything in your sandwich. There are one or two workers who are generous, so this review is definition not for them. For the others, though, they kind of just toss some lettuce and other veggies onto your sandwich and look highly irritated when you ask them for more. Most look tired and upset to be working. Out of all the subways I have ever dined at, I've never felt like it wasn't worth the ~$6/footlong as I did/do most of the time I come this store. read more

And employees don't look happy about their job And then ingredients to put in my sandwich needed to be replenished and filled with new ones. The location was clean. But I would've rather had my veggies taste fresher and look fresher. Employees need to be retrained and customer service and learn to fake a smile! Came here last night with boyfriend and immediately one worker was unprofessional and was dropping the F bomb in front of us. There were three workers. One woman and one guy with blonde hair (and an air pod in his ear) then another guy with black hair. The one with black hair seemed to be the only one that cared about speed and quality. The sandwich he made was perfect and he served us with passion and interest in helping us make the perfect sandwich. Absolutely the worst subway around there vegetables are all old and stick to the sides of the buckets as well as there meat and cheese the bread is so hard to chew and feels like it's 2 months old. I don't even know where to start with this. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I've had bad experiences but never to this point. To give some background, I was a manager of Subway for 7 years. I've been to this Subway a few times. The last couple of times, there were newer employees that did not seem trained properly. Unaware of how to make sandwiches properly, how to use the PoS and specials. I didn't make a big deal of it because in the end, this is a failure on the manager. I went in today to get a couple of sandwiches. I ordered one sandwich and then made a quick phone call to confirm the details of the other sandwich. Remember this statement as I was not on the phone while I was ordering my sandwich. I fault myself for this next part, I did not pay attention to how my sandwich was made. I simply told what I wanted on it and watched the other sandwich get made. After the sandwiches were made (and the representative behind the counter saying negative things about me in Spanish because I asked for a fresh avocado, which I assume is because he assumed I did not know Spanish being white) I paid for my 2 sandwiches, cookies, drinks and chips and left. I stopped at the Starbucks a few doors down to get a drink. During my wait there, I went to check over the sandwiches and found that mine was made incorrectly. I asked for Italian Herbs & Cheese bread and received Italian. I thought a simple mistake and I'd stop back and have it remade. I went back into Subway and the same representative behind the counter assisted me. I explained my sandwich was made incorrectly and I would like it remade. I also handed the sandwich back to him so as I did not get a free sandwich. Instead of a simple "sure", I was argued with, disrespected in front of customers and told how "I ordered it incorrectly because I was on the phone". The entire ordeal of me trying to have my sandwich remade was simply listening to someone bad mouth me behind the counter (keep in mind, this was in front of OTHER customers). Remember my first statement? I made a phone call AFTER I ordered my sandwich. The representative also told me "Don't worry, the customer is always right" in a sarcastic tone. I responded by saying that the customer is not always right (lets be real, sometimes we do make mistakes as a customer) but I know what I ordered. I also added that if I had ordered an Italian sandwich, then I would have gone home because that was my mistake. At this point I just waited for him to finish half-making my sandwich because I was so disgusted with how I was treated. There was a point where I debated asking for a refund because I was so unhappy with how I was being treated. At the end, I asked to speak to a manager. He informed me that he was the manager. I asked for his supervisors name and was not given it. I asked for his name and he informed me it was Juan. I was informed by the employees that night I had gone in that were poorly trained that their manager was Juan. At this point, I made a comment that I probably should not have but I was also extremely upset and embarrassed. As I left I told him that he should probably learn to treat customers better and learn to train his employees properly. I will not step foot in this Subway again. I am okay with mistakes being made. I am not okay with acting as if you are on top of the world and never make mistakes. We all make mistakes. Being rude about it is unacceptable and acting a fool in front of customers is not okay. I am sitting here debating throwing my sandwich away because I didn't even watch if he toasted it and because of how I was treated, I have no confidence that it even was (which would be a health hazard). To whoever owns this store (as I don't believe California stores are corporate). A manager is supposed to be the leader of his store. He isn't better then the employees he works with. A good manager isn't a boss. They are a leader and support their team. Juan is not a good manager. By how he treats customers (I will assume that I am not the first), I can tell firsthand that he does not support his team. The fact that the night team is so untrained shows that he does not support his team. I would recommend putting someone else in leadership if you want to see your store succeed. First of all there was a customer behind you it was me and i witness the entire thing, you and your wife were being rude and making this poor girl go back in forth with your three sandwiches. Meanwhile the other employee was attending me anyways the girl who was working on his sandwich asked him if there was gonna be another sandwich and him and his wife said yes, She then proceeded to ask them what kind of sandwich and rudely his wife responded "can you be quiet I'm talking to my husband"You could tell that the employee was embarrassed and she just stood there and waited for the husband to finish his sandwich once he was done with his order she was going to ring him up and then he decides to tell her I want a new sandwich making the girl start all over again with the new order. At this point the girl is still being professional he is still so picky he told her he wants a foot-long with two different cheeses want some cut and have really rude by the way he's making her split the meal with the knife add more veggies because apparently she didn't put enough. Hence this guy was giving attitude and his TONE was basically rushing the employee. All of a sudden her coworker tells the man that the way He is ordering his sandwiches is making her go back-and-forth making her take longer than what it usually does take that's it everybody else went back to work. Anyways the girl charges him and he should be going off but instead he goes up to the other coworker and starts raising his voice at her for making him feel rushed not to mention he kept pointing at her. At this point the employees not doing anything she was just clearly explain to him that if he wanted his sandwich to be done faster he should've just gone with the pork and stead of making her do one by one sandwich or instead of staying there in the middle talking to his wife or his sandwich is being prepared. I ended up leaving the store but I was outside eating And this guy was being really rude yelling at the employees as he walked out so if the employees ended up telling him something or give him attitude it was because he was screwed the entire time.... What people don't understand sometimes is it the customer always thinks they're right even when they're wrong and think it's OK to scream at the customer. The employee is human and probably will react when they feel attacked or threaten, Especially when the employees only doing their job.. from my perspective they handled it very well read more

This place is open 24 hours a day so I often come in wasted at like 4 in the morning after a night of partying. This mall's a cop hangout though, so you have to be careful if you're usually up to no good like me. I usually come with my friend Nathan who has some obsession with Subway and Australians. We pretend to be from Australia and order and talk in Australian accents (my Australian accent's perfect, his is near-perfect). Then we'll get our food and talk in Australian accents the whole time and yell at each other and shit in Australian accents and cause a big commotion. The last time we talked about how much better our homeland Australia is than the U.S. and sang Land Down Under at the top of our lungs. He was the girl. And my girlfriend had just made me watch Kangaroo Jack with her so I knew all the words. Though when I ordered, the girl working there was giving me a weird look (I'd forgotten that I'd come in with my girlfriend a few days before and had ordered to the same girl in my normal voice). So the whole time Nathan and I were eating and singing, she was looking at me like she was gona kill me. And she probably skimped on the meat-my sub like didn't even put a dent in my hunger (and yes, it was the footlong). Which brings me to my next point. Hoo the **** orders a 6-inch and NOT the footlong... It's like wtf are you thinking-pay the extra ****ing dollar for the extra 1/2 foot you miser.... And I don't want to hear well I'm not that hungry or well I don't eat that much.. if you eat your little 6-inch and you're still ****ing hungry than guess what-you get to pay ANOTHER $5 for ANOTHER 6-inch and maybe you'll learn your lesson.. If you know you're not gona eat it at least give it away-give it to a homeless person, anybody. Getting the 6-inch isn't really a waste of food, but it's a WASTE OF MONEY-a waste of FOOD-BUYING POTENTIAL-it feels like a waste of something, and that's what I've narrowed it down to-that's the best I can come up with. One time I tried to persuade the guy in front of me to upgrade to the foot-long when he ordered a 6-inch. My girlfriend threw a hissy fit afterwards and tried to lecture me and told me to mind my own business. I'm like what's wrong with helping people.. quit being a baby. I think most people would agree that what I did was the right thing to do (give me a silent nod if you agree). There's nothing wrong with helping people realize they're making a mistake. One thing I don't like about this Subway is that they're kind of cheap. They charge you for every little extra thing you want on your sub. And one time a girl snuck some olives on my sub when I wasn't looking (olives taste like poison and shouldn't be available for human consumption) and about 3/4 of my way through the sub I noticed this.... I started gagging and spitting violently. I demanded my money back and they're like no we can't, you ate too much of the sub, and I'm like YEAH IT TASTED LIKE **** THE WHOLE TIME CUZ OF THE ****ING OLIVES AND I WAS LIKE WTF'S MAKING IT TASTE LIKE **** THE WHOLE TIME and they wouldn't even give me my money back. And my girlfriend even SIDED WITH THEM and tried to lecture me on being more tolerant of trying new things.. I'm like I ALREADY ****ING TRIED OLIVES AND KNOW THEY"RE GROSS AND YOU"RE A SICKO FOR LIKING THEM.... But other than that, this place is pretty good, the prices, freshness of the food, healthiness, customizability of your food e.g. HAVING YOUR SUB MADE WITH NO MAYONNAISE (whoever likes mayonnaise needs counseling) and this place's hours earn it a 4-star. read more

One time, I had insomnia and I was hungry. I end up here where michael, the homie from LA, asked me what I wanted. At this point in life, I had no idea what my career was going to be like, let alone my sandwich. I ummm'ed and uhhh'ed like a wussy until he suggested I try the new spicy chipotle sandwich. I only come by here because it's close to where I live and on my way to work. Because I usually make my decisions based on the convenience of the store, it usually screws me over. Sometimes they lack honey oat bread. Okay, fine. I'll deal with it. This place teaches its employees to give you the bare minimum or something. When I indicated extra tomatoes and extra olives, thanks for giving me the "a lot" of nothing. Oh another thing I noticed-- they're becoming really frugal about the amount of wrapping for the sandwiches. I guess I have to provide my own or use napkins to hold my sandwich up now. i for one, actually like this subway. its open 24/7 and its super conveniently located by my gf's place. i believe they also have a special. if you purchase any 2 subs, after 5pm... you can get each for 5 bucks each. so my gf and i got the most expensive subs for 5 bucks each. philly cheese steak and the chicken bacon ranch. the food seemed fresh, but maybe we got lucky and went here on a good day. the interior is super small. only about 5 tables to sit down at. the workers were super friendly and didn't seem like they hated their jobs.... which was surprising, cuz we went in the wee hours of the morning. subway always have coupons in the mail, so just look in your mail box for a deal before you head out to buy a sub. PS: i've noticed that if you toast your sub, they will put tax on your purchase. so if you get a 5$ sub and get it toasted, it will come out to 5.25 or something. whereas, if you don't get it toasted, it will be 5 bucks flat.... read more

This is my favorite Subway! The place is open 24/7 and it is always clean and smelling great. There is always happy employees welcoming you as you walk into the front door and I've never had a bad experience from the several times I've came here to eat. They have seating both indoors and out. The only two down sides is that they don't have the $5 foot long deal anymore which is unfortunate if you order a Veggie Delight and the location is small so they don't have a restroom. read more

THE GIST: One of very few food places that's open 24 hours in Irvine. We would have given this place a 3 star, but it gets 4 just because they are now open 24 hours. OVERALL: Wow! this place has gotten some really sh*tty reviews we see! We weren't able to read all the reasons why, but very understandable. We think the "Sandwich Artists" here come and go with the seasons, but every time we've been here staff hasn't been all that friendly, but if you worked as a Subway, would you be smiling? Just kidding.. service is very important.. so we want to point out that service wasn't all that pleasant. RECOMMENDATIONS: 1) FOOT LONG TURKEY ON WHEAT WITH: american chees, spinach, extra tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, olives, onions, banana peppers, yellow mustard, and vinegar. (Pretty healthy eh!) -- Honestly, we don't care if the sandwich is slapped together.. as long as the stuffins are spread out evenly throughout the sandwich we are happy. It's going to taste the same looking tidy or slapped together ;). 2) COOKIES: Oh man.. when these cookies are fresh.. they are so greasily delicious.. high recommend them all..
