However when I returned the sandwich it was still in the bag with the receipt which employee didn't want to even look at it and asked me to throw it in the garbage . JUAN and SERGIO the most MEAN, RUDE, and IMPOLITE managers that I have ever saw!!!! I have lived in this neighborhood for 14 years and am a customer of this store. They were 2 sisters working "Ana" and I don't remember the other sister's name. They were both nice and friendly. I haven't seen them in a while but they are also 2 other girls working there that I think they are kind of new. They are friendly too. But this morning I went there to buy a six inch sub of the day. There were 2 guys. BOTH VERY RUDE. As soon as I entered the store and I waited in the line which was only a young couple and that's it, one of the guy instead of acknowledging just asked,"is it a pick up?" And I said,"no" he said, "are you here just to say hi?" I was upset with the way that he was talking to me but I just said,"no, I'm here to order" and he said,"20 minutes is the wait time" I was surprised because as I said there were only one couple ahead of me. I said, "20 minutes? I just want a 6" sub of the day" as soon as I said that, the couple told me, go ahead you can order yours. We are still thinking. I thanked them for the offer. My order got ready in 2 minutes but the same RUDE guy charged me for $8.99 and when I told him it's not gonna be that much, he just confirmed the cost with his head instead of talking to me cause he was on the phone. I was in rush to get to work and I was also mad. I paid and I left. On my lunch break I checked the receipt and I saw that he charged me for a chips and drink as well that I never asked and I never got. I called their store and I told the guy, and he said o yea you can come and pick up a chips and drink. I said I didn't want a chips and drink. You need to refund me, and he said no we can not refund. I'm rating this based on subway standards and for what it is, basic sandwich shop! Not a fancy one and for that, my kiddo was happy and full and loved the Powerade after feeling dehydrated. It's nice we can sit outside at the tables. We got 3 footlongs to take advantage of the buy 2 get one free. Kiddo enjoyed his pepperoni one but we got overcharged as they priced it as a bmt but he didn't get salami or ham with his just the typical add ons. The meatball boss was yummy warmed up for him and the classic turkey turned out well. Staff were ok, not mean but responsive. Store is immaculate. Always have enough personnel for whatever time of day. Always greeted, a feat considering how many kids are hired. Hate the new menu - that said, grateful everyone remembers the old, better menu or you can Google and read them the ingredients. Decided to write a review on this particular Subway located in the mall on Culver & Michelson. Subways are all the same, right? Wrong, this Subway provides exceptional customer service: smiles all around, there are least 3 staff on hand, sometimes 4-5 depending on day & time, and they greet and thank you for your business. This Subway became busy because the owner had one he had to close off University & Michelson (that was where I went). This Subway stays busy due to its location near Wholesome Choice, Rite-Aid, dentist & doctors offices, and a Crown Ace Hardware; along with the many residents and UCI students that visit this mall daily. The sandwiches and all they do with them are actually more tasty as they recommend certain condiments & toppings if you ask. This is my 6th or 7th visit since the closure of the other store and so far, I have had 4-Star experiences with an occasional 5-Star (perfection from Valerie) experience. I work early in the AM and usually come here for a breakfast sandwich. I ordered online a breakfast wrap and picked it up. When I got to work the sandwich was loaded with onions and everything else I do not like on a sandwich. I didn't get off until the evening so I was unable to bring the sandwich back until then. Spoke to man that made it and was going to make me another, I stated I was not hungry but would like a refund. The guy told me he would need to contact manager for refund. Located in a nice big plaza - Its a bit hidden with all the other bigger businesses around it. There were 4 staff members the day I stopped by and 2 of the were preparing a large order and the other 2 were helping walk in customers. It took a few minutes to get to me - but they were nice and was able to get build the sandwich I wanted with ease! The 4 girls seemed to get in each others way - and slow them down. We also got the broccoli soup on the side at the place because we couldn't order it online. We both got all the veggie toppings and cheese. This place does not follow the health and safety standard regulations. They had an employee male working behind the counter who had hair look like a mop leaning over all the food. Would not recommend to eat here if you work night shifts. The night staff at this location seemed annoyed and really lazy. I walked in and immediately noticed the veggies were not fresh at all! I asked for avocado on my wrap and got less then 1/4 of the avocado. On top of that while he was trying to get the avocado on to the wrap he dropped it on the nasty cutting board!
