    Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries
    Jasmine D.

Cashier was very enthusiastic and energetic. Chicken tasted crispy and moist and seasoned well. Not as spicy as I had it last time. Fries are a great texture. Wish they would switch out the white bread for Texas toast

I keep passing by Dave's locations, and so one day I decided to pull the trigger and give it a try! Overall we enjoyed our experience. Pros: - open 'til midnight (nice to have more late-night options in Irvine) - seating area is pretty clean - chicken strips are pretty hefty and well-seasoned - staff is friendly and accommodating (surprised to see negatives reviews on this!) - happy to see a somewhat healthier option for sides with the kale slaw Cons: - Spice levels are inconsistent, ironic given that's their M.O.. "Medium" not spicy at all, but one level up as "Hot" was damn spicy! - Not a huge fan of their slider/sandwich option. Seems kinda thrown together as an afterthought rather than a considered menu item.

    Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries

Delicious chicken, mediocre service. The chicken sandwich and tenders were flavorful and juicy, and the fries were excellent, but it took over 10 minutes for the food to come out, and everything was only slightly warm instead of hot. I really enjoyed the Dave's sauce, and the meal was definitely filling. The staff were very friendly as well and gladly provided extra sauce when asked. Overall, I loved the taste of the food, but I just wish the chicken had felt fresh out of the fryer.

The two piece tenders combo box is the way to go with the hot seasoning. Spices could be spicier here but it's always great service and so quick too. Ambience is your usual Dave's with the street art.

    2 Mild Chicken Dave's #2: 2 Sliders w/ Fries

We ordered 70 of the Dave's #2 menu item for work and it was hit! The amount of food was so filling. The chicken on the sliders were ginormous, crispy with an amazing batter. I love spice and the medium was not too spicy. There was tasty cabbage and crispy dill pickles on each slider. The crinkle cut fries had a Cajun spice and everyone was stuffed and satisfied. This was my first time trying Dave's and I'm disappointed I waited so long. I can't wait to have it again and maybe try other menu items. Highly recommended!

One of the three boxes from Flight of Saucy Bites

We waited for 30 minutes for the order of (1)Flight of Saucy Bites and (2) loaded spicy buffalo mac. Buffalo mac was for other person, so I made sure to check the quality before leaving, but my chickens were half sauced and some not even breaded properly. Front was understaffed, back was crowded with smirks and flying boxes. Front being frustrated, was rude and couldn't even hand us sauces as she was too busy. I understand there is busy hours, but food quality and worker's attitudes should not fluctuate.

Best sandwich chicken size ever made at Dave's !!

Been going to Dave's since their OG location in LA was the only location! Always got combo #2- hot and drizzled honey on always! Recently had a great experienced with the sandwich portion- where the chicken is cutlet size and width rather than ck tender size in sandwich. Staffs are always so friendly and nice- never any complaints with their customer service :) The only complaints now compared to the OG location are fries no longer loaded up but is measured by the small paper plate & they don't offer complimentary sides with a yelp check in.

Tried Dave's for the first time today and I can't say I was disappointed. I had the mini sliders which was good and my order was ready when I came to pick it up. The sliders are very mini but it's ok it was good.

Dave's is among my top 5 places to go in Irvine for a quick lunch. The food is ready fast, and they sometimes give an extra chicken tender if they're on the small side. I usually drive-thru, but it's an interesting atmosphere on the inside with the painted chicken figures on the wall. One thing to note, they don't put napkins and forks in the drive-thru to-go bag. You have to ask before you drive away.

Do they have a drive thru?

Yes, but be prepared to spend a very LONG time there

Do they have chicken pieces, legs or thighs? Didn't see any on the menu..

No and it's a huge bummer, just tenders, with or without the bun and fixins

How fresh are the fries or are they just boring old flash frozen starch sticks?

Frozen, crinkle cut fries the same as Del Taco.

    Do you have outside dinning?

    No, didn't see any

Hi, will the chicken here be zabiha halal?

    Yes it will!

Having…read moreeaten at hundreds of Lebanese restaurants across multiple states--and traveling back to Beirut once a year--I have a very high bar for authenticity. My wife is also very familiar with the cuisine and cooks many of these traditional dishes herself. Last night, we tried BEI in Costa Mesa, and we are both absolutely thrilled to have found it. The hospitality here is amazing. Tommy gave us a warm greeting right as we walked in, and it was a pleasure chatting with him all evening. Our waiter, George, was equally amazing. He isn't Lebanese himself, but he jokingly told us that he is becoming Lebanese more and more every day just from eating the food here! He knew the menu inside and out, guiding us through the options and sharing his personal favorite plates with real passion. As for the food, my wife and I completely agreed that the chicken shawarma was easily the best I have ever had anywhere in the United States. It fully equals what you would eat at a high-quality restaurant in Lebanon. The toum (garlic spread), which is an absolute must for the chicken, was unbelievable. The hummus, baba ganoush, batata harra (spicy potatoes), and the fattoush salad were all absolutely amazing and perfectly seasoned. We finished the evening with an incredible knefeh for dessert. Even the hookah was great--smooth, well-prepared, and the perfect addition to the evening. They have a DJ on Fridays and a belly dancer on Saturdays, giving the space an awesome weekend energy. If you want genuine Lebanese cuisine paired with true Middle Eastern hospitality, BEI is a must-visit. We will certainly be back every time I am in town!

We waited about 15 mins for someone to come and offer us menus or beverages but it seemed as though we had been forgotten. It felt like we were an inconvenience. My husband ended up calling over a waiter and asked if we could order as we had looked up the menu's online. Our waiter, George, was phenomenal! Super kind, apologetic and kept us updated throughout the night. He understood that we were not having the best experience, and was trying his best to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. We had a baby with us so we asked that we be seated away from any hookah, and they really honored that request and made sure nobody near us was smoking. The food was decent, well seasoned and tasty, but nothing mindblowing. Slow to arrive but it seemed like this evening in particular was just a new kind of busy for the restaurant. In any case, I think if you've got time to sit and chat and wait for food and service, you won't feel it as much, but we had a baby, and a group of hungry adults who felt every minute of the waiting. I'd probably come back on a weeknight and try it out again; hoping that we don't get forgotten about by our first waitress.

Several beer pitchers in @ HACHI (just next door-shout out to them)-- for a celebration of a breakup, the end of midterms, or simply the triumph of continuing to exist (in THIS economy?? were all needing to praise ourselves for simply surviving) -- we found ourselves drawn, like moths to a fluorescently lit flame, to Halal Guys. Now listen. The food? Solid. Reliable. The kind of food that understands you are not here for nuance. You are here because life has punched you in the throat and you require a plate of rice, chicken, gyro meat, and mysterious white sauce to spiritually stabilize. I used to go to the OG one in NYC when i was getting punched in the throat there too. (PUNCHED IN THE THROAT BY ACADEMIA, FIGURATIVELY, y'all haver crazy imaginations outthere). I came craving something familiar and left feeling like I wasted both time and money. First Impressions (1/5) When I walked in, there was only one person working, handling the fryer, the register, and assembling plates. I genuinely felt bad for her, especially considering the steady line forming. What We Got (2/5) I ordered a regular plate, which is what I usually get at Halal Guys. Nothing customized or complicated, just the standard order I have had many times before at other locations. Taste and Quality (0/5) The food was shockingly bad. The rice was raw and crunchy, which was hard to believe at first. The meat pieces were tiny and very chewy, and the pita bread was extremely soggy. On top of that, it was only around 4 pm and the usual spinning meat and grill were not even on, despite the line picking up. Service (2/5) The worker was clearly trying her best, but one person running everything in a busy location is not realistic. She was constantly running back and forth between the fryer and the line, which made the whole operation feel chaotic and slow. Space and Atmosphere (3/5) The space itself was fine and what you would expect from Halal Guys. Clean enough, but nothing stood out positively enough to offset the food experience. Was It Worth It (0/5) Not at all. As someone who is pretty frugal and almost always finishes their meals, I could not finish this plate. It genuinely felt like a waste of $18. Final Thoughts This location does not seem to be held to the same standards as other Halal Guys in the area. This experience was disappointing from start to finish.

However this time I thought I would try something different. So I ordered online with Mint. All the pictures and reviews were decent so why not? Well I should've stuck with my OG's because this was not it. I ordered x2 buttered chicken that was in a very small container (see photo attached) for $20 EACH! Garlic Naan that was $5, Mango Lassi also $5 and Gelato. First, if you guys are paying $20 for a small tiny container of butter chicken in LH please please do yourself a favor and go try Southern Spice. Their flavors are mouthwatering and the portion is huge. I understand inflation but this is ridiculous and the flavor is blah. It's like there is no spices in there at all just butter and tomato sauce AND the kicker...no rice! Super weird to me that they do not automatically give you rice! Like who just orders butter chicken or any Indian,Chinese, Korean dish for that matter without rice! I mean rice has to cost you guys a pretty small fraction no? Just give people 1/2c of rice! If not, at least you should make note of that on your menu so people know ahead of ordering. The garlic Naan is decent really no complaints there, the Mango Lassi they gave me was the size of a kiddy cup (see photo) Literally a child's sippy cup is bigger than what I received for $5 insane! And just to make matters worse, when I opened by bag they placed my gelato directly on top of the hot food! So when I took it out, it had completely melted. $10 for melted pistachio creamy soup, just what I wanted. You guys have to do better for your customers. I get the price increases but for what you are giving and the immense amount of lack of flavors...is wild. Save your money, drive a little bit further and eat some true Indian food in Irvine/Tustin cause this place is not it. The pictures posted are truly beautiful but pictures are not everything especially when it comes to food quality and flavor. I am only giving two stars bc the Mango Lassi and Garlic Naan were decent tasting.

OMG. We were holding out for a proper visit, but we couldn't wait any longer and decided to finally…read moreorder to-go. From what I understand, Aria is the recent addition to the growing Persian Empire of the Super Irvine dynasty. The parents run the grocery store, the daughters run the excellent Irvine Grill restaurant, and Aria Kitchen is their latest experiment. While we didn't order any Mexican fusion food, there were some of those same flavors that really came through. The bone marrow comes with a delicious garlicky olive oil to drizzle on top. The oil has a bit of a kick to it--- chili, maybe? that evokes more of a Mexican flavor profile than an Iranian flavor profile. Some of their fresh Pita dipped in it? Life changing. We liked the kabob--- it's pretty good. However, we're spoiled by their sister restaurant, Irvine Grill. Irvine Grill still takes the crown for our favorite kabob. Aria is still a strong contender, though! The Asheh Reshteh is probably my favorite dish here (if we're talking appetizers, their bone marrow is by far one of the best apps I've had ever). It's hard to find good Asheh Reshteh, because it has to hit that balance of well-stewed but not mushy. This one was excellent. They gave us plenty of Kashk to put on top too! Where Aria shines is in its variety and consistent quality. The food is all fresh and delicious, and the flavor combo (while surprisingly not wholly uncommon----NorCal has a handful of similar Mexican-Iranian fusion spots) is so well-paired. There's a damn good reason that Samin Nosrat opted for Mexico for her show when for geopolitical reasons she was unable to film with Netflix in Iran. Both cuisines love their citrus. I can't wait to visit Aria Kitchen and dine in-restaurant!

We played it safe and went with 8 Taco Plate and the chicken sheesh Kebabs per our servers recommendation. Tacos were very good and well served with good presentation. The chicken kebab was also very soft and well made. We also got their pomegranate salad which was good. We also got their mezcal drinks , Guava was excellent but passion fruit was a bit syrupy and felt a lot sweeter. They also offer complimentary Chips and Salsas which was excellent. Service, Ambience and Food was very good. Overall - A Solid Experience !

They also have sweet treats like mango lassi which is also good and cooling after the spicy food. Being 100% honest, the people make the place even better. Every time I've come in, the people working are so generous and hospitable- offering insight and even samples for their food. The inside is also super nicely decorated and the music is "vibey" too (my bf's exact words). They moving locations to Garden Grove, but I have no doubt that their new location will be just as amazing (and probably more amazing as well). Anaheim will miss you so much!!

Premium combo = entree + $10 Entree + premium drink + masala fries I tried the bowl with mild biryani, malai chicken, green (mild) sauce, and guava mango lassi. The bowl already comes with the raita sauce (a yogurt sauce), so I got the green sauce as my choice of sauce after asking the staff for recommendations. The protein portion was super generous and very well-seasoned with their spice. The green sauce was my favorite and everything in the bowl mixed well together. The whole bowl was delicious and it didn't feel heavy, wasn't greasy. The Kashmiri Chai and the guava mango lassi are the most popular drinks, so I decided to try the guava mango lassi. The flavors blended so well. One wasn't more overpowering than the other, and the sweetness level was perfect for me, also, not too much ice. Masala fries So crispy and well-seasoned!! Could be a little less salty. Gulab jamun cheesecake Also asked for recommendations for their cheesecakes and decided to go with this one. It has the fried donut ball in the middle with syrup. It didn't taste too sweet to me, but I also have higher tolerance for sweets. The center has so much of the cheesecake cheese and it was super soft and fluffy. So delicious! The samosas were also great! Crispy and not too oily. I also love that they use compostable takeout containers, including the lid! The interior looks nice and there are a few seats available. There's outdoor shaded tables and seats too. The only downside is that I wish the outdoor seats were a bit cleaner. There is a free parking garage, just make sure to park in the retail spaces. There was enough parking. The staff members are so helpful and very friendly. Can order with a staff member or using their kiosk. HIGHLY recommend!! Would definitely go back!
