The staff here is so nice. We had the best time here. We were in Newport Beach and I was just getting back to myself after eating bad shell fish before we left town. They know the menu well and will fit things anyway you want. They are fast and attentive. We were very happy. We all had full breakfasts and they were all great. I did not get pancakes because I am stuck on IHop, but my grandson did and they were super good. The eggs and bacon were cooked exactly as ordered and arrived hot. The toast was very good. The prices here are fair and the place is adorable, comfortable, cute and super clean. Parking is free and there is plenty of it. My husband also had a salad and it was fresh and crisp. This is honestly the last time I will ever DoorDash any order from here. Last time it was the pancakes, and this time it it with no condiments in the order that was placed. When I called in the General manager was there and was blaming me for not requesting it. Let him know it was common scene to add it. Informed him that I was going to drive there to replace the order and get a fresh one with all the condiments. When I went in he was still saying it was my fault for not asking for it. I pulled out my phone and informed him where is it asking for it? There was no request button for condiments. Then he started to blame my phone and the app. LOL! Mind you, this man couldn't even find the condiments request button! lol Started to say that in the state of CA they are not allowed to just add condiments to the online orders. Informed him that I was clearly not in the service industry and that it was no where in sight online! Yet there tables are covered with condiments. The math isn't mathing. He made me place ANOTHER ORDER online and it was another $27!!!! This bafoon forgot to cancel my order which resulted into another DoorDash coming my way. I had to inform the dasher of what was happening and he had to go back to speak with the manager. I had to call DoorDash myself to cancel the order and for me to get a FULL REFUND for the 2nd order that was placed. Not only did the manager waste my time and the dashers but had 2 out of three FULL meals thrown away due to not paying attention. I woke up this morning with 5 door dash charges because of the general managers neglect. Beyonnnd mad. This order has cost me over $130!!!!!!!!! The service was great and the food as well! I give my server a 5 star review. What leads me to give a 1 star if possible a 0 is an incident I saw between the manager Javier G. and a young woman whom I believe was a busser. He demanded her to go on her lunch break and stated he wouldn't be adjusting her time sheet. How do I know this much info for just being a customer dinning in is because he said all that loud enough for me to hear. Mind you I was with my 3 boys, boys can be somewhat noisy. I believe this is very unprofessional from his part, as a manager and for his age (I believe his age range is anywhere between 52-66) he should know how to manage this type of communication, this type of conversations are to be held in private not in front of consumers. Next time I'm in I expect to not witness this again! And I hope he's mature enough to realize he is in the wrong and apologizes to this young woman because I was looking for him to bring it up to his attention after I finished my food but he was gone. Like some other reviewers say, you don't plan on coming to Denny's.....you just come here because of the convenience of being one of the only spots open 24hrs. And, I just remembered why I stopped coming here years ago...unfortunately, we had just returned from a long and late flight, and this was the only option available. Things went well at the beginning....friendly greeting from our server who led us to our table. She was so nice and friendly that we thought, ok, maybe thinsg had changed here over the years...but no. It's the same old average Denny's food and aweful service. We had almost finished our meal when one of us found a piece of hair in their steak. Our server was no where to be found, so we waved down another server to explain what we had found. She was shocked and said that she would go get our server asap. A minute later, along comes our server, all smiles and friendly demenour, and asked how everything was? We held up the hair and told her this was what we found on the steak......and Oh wow.....I suddenly felt a freezing chill down my spine when her face suddenly turned upside down, and a real *B* of an attitude emerged. She asked whose plate it came from and, after an awkward pause, said that she would bring the check and take that dish off. No expression of surprise and no apology whatsoever....just a cold stare and unapologetic attitude. Then, she brought the credit card scanner, not the check, and literally just dumped it on the table and walked away..without a word. What an attitude! Everyone who came in got the same warm welcome. We even told the hostess it had been a while since we'd had service like that and our breakfast was amazing too. I used to enjoy visiting this Denny's with my family, but our recent experience was disappointing. Prices have gone up while portion sizes, including bread, have noticeably shrunk. Kid's Meal 1 ($6.39): Two chicken tenders and two strips of small bacon. Kid's Meal 2 ($5.79): Mac & cheese with bacon and sausage--sides were too small. Senior Meal ($11.29): My mother-in-law's favorite salmon dinner now had smaller portions and bread. My Meal ($16.99): Chicken fried steak--price increased, with smaller portions and bread. Overall, the rising prices and shrinking portions make it hard to recommend this location, especially for kids. I am not sure if this is the corporate policy or just specific to this location. Had not been to a Dennys in a while. This was one of the only places open after going to the ER at around 1030-11 PM. Ambiance was a combo of rustic and diner style elements. Service was great. Very quick to say hello upon our arrival and welcome us to sit anywhere. They served all types of meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) all day. I saw some people order banana pancakes late at night, and though I'm usually into sweets, I was craving something more savory. Was recommended the slow cooker meaty melt by staff but my eye was caught by the crispy bacon ranch sandwich. What is nice about Dennys is you get quantity! The food is definitely enough for two people. Felt the chicken was not evenly distributed between both people but that's okay (cos I got the side w more chicken ;)) Fries were salty and decadent! Seems like a great place for big parties as a local hockey team was celebrating nearby. Dennys is def good because of its consistency and long open hours. The only cons I would say are the bathrooms aren't super kept up. read more

Let's be real ...no one plans to go to Denny's. You just end up at Denny's, like when your life Google map loses signal and says, "You know what? Pancakes." Walked into the Irvine location and was immediately hit with the smell of syrup, coffee, and broken dreams. Waitress was sweet but vanished like my motivation. Would I come back? Been going here for years and then started ordering every Saturday and Sunday on Uber Eats. The location has canceled the orders the last couple of weekends right after I put them in. I guess they don't want the business. So much for trying to support local business. I have moved on to a new location that appreciates the business. read more

Ordered tor personal pickup not uber, etc. two times in a row same manager prepped order. It was a super slam with pancakes. If you order pancakes butter should automatically be included because Denny's own online ordering doesn't have it anywhere or special instructions to include. Even if they did that manager wouldn't pay attention because i ordered sugar free syrup on condiment list and he doesn't pay attention. This time i checked and had to ask for sugar free syrup and rather than have packets of syrup, squeezes it out of the bottle into a container that the lid has a small hole and leaks all over the bag out the hole. I have contacted Denny's feedback and supposedly they contact franchise but if they do, it does no good. The food itself is good. It's all the crappy service that comes with it. There is another Denny's up the road a little if it happens again i can go over there. I have actually thought about ordering at table and when immediately served ask for everything to pack myself . Me and my 2 guests went here today. First this Dennys denied a disabled military his free birthday slam and then the omelet that came was hair infested. The waiter tried to deny it at first and he said the workers use hair hats until I showed him the copious amounts of hair spread throughout.
