They measure out the meat (idk why people get various experiences ago it the meat it's all measured!) and the vegetables always the same. But I waited a little too long cuz it was busy and the workers noticed and asked if I needed anything multiple times. They even offered me a drink even though I didn't order a drink cuz they knew they had a big order in front of me. That's customer service! Clean interior and convenient location. This is a great FB location. I just come here instead of having to meal prep and it's honestly just as affordable because they have a 4 bowl for $32.50 deal and you can accrue points for free bowls if you create a flame broiler account through the app. I come here every Monday and get 8 bowls for the week and the lady at the register (Emily) is really nice and just knows my order because I come so often haha. So far my orders have been correct every single time. Will continue to be a repeat customer. read more

Flame Broiler is a great choice for a quick, affordable, healthier meal. During my last visit, I got a mini chicken bowl with brown rice, veggies, and avocado. I enjoyed it and the portion size was perfect for me. If you want more flavor, you can ask for extra sauce on the side but I actually enjoyed the lightness of it as is. They do have a spicy sauce though (I forgot the name), but I highly recommend getting that if you enjoy spicy foods! It has a decent kick to it and it made me bowl taste even better. This location is located in a pretty large plaza, so finding parking was not an issue when I went. It's a fast food place, so everything is pretty casual which is to be expected. It's my first time at a Flame Broiler by myself. The location is set up in shopping center, so you're not gonna run out of options. I chose this spot because it was seemingly the least busiest. So, I used to work at a teriyaki place, and I've had a lot of Asian fusion food...I think as an industry standard, Panda Express, might be the most generous I've tried, although their food can be quite salty. There are definitely a lot of teriyaki-fare mom and pops, that serve better food, but I wasn't gonna find that easily in Irvine, while waiting for the traffic on the I-5 to die down. It's kind of expensive for fast food...the veggies were soggy and mushy. I got the Angus beef with half brown/half white rice. The presentation was fine, but the quality of the meat was average. The only reason I scarfed it down is because I was so hungry. I like that the condiments and utensils are set up, self-serve to go, all except for the fact that the placement of the forks, looked a bit unsanitary, but we'll forgive that. The sauces were okay; I pumped a little bit of each. I don't remember any of them being spicy though. read more

The food here is mediocre at best for a quick bite. As someone with a couple years of customer service experience, however, there is one particular staff, Mariam C. , who is unreasonably unaccommodating when taking order. I had asked for a mini bowl with veggies and rice explicitly, and when receiving said bowl without vegetables, had asked to just get the veggies with my bowl. However, instead of being accommodating to a small mistake, she instead retorted that she'd have to charge $5 for a side of veggies ( the bowl itself is $8 ). I understand policy, but holding your ground over simple vegetables reads a little excessive and lead to me having an overall dissatisfied experience. But hey if you'd like to be gaslit on a fine Tuesday, Mariam is your gal! ***side note: especially when she's working, the portion control on the rice and meat is inconsistent, making me question the macros as well. read more

This is the best Flame Broiler in town - tasty food from healthy and fresh ingredients, efficient and friendly staff, really good prices (and catering menu prices too!), and a clean store. The chicken and beef are not over cooked or dry. The food is not too salty. The magic sauce is perfectly savory. This is the perfect take out place or to grab a quick lunch/dinner with family. I personally do not believe two pieces of Kalbi, veggies, and good quality rice is expensive here. In fact, I believe it is quite value for money. The four chicken bowl special is a good deal. I frequently get this for my son's baseball team. The kids eat the ENTIRE BOWL including veggies! All in all, I have nothing but positives to say about this place. read more

**** Health Warning ***** Has roach problem and horrible manager. (The lady working at the store this day) . The owner called and refund but doesn't make up for her behavior. I wish I had checked the reviews of this place before. I've been eating here for 3+ years as I love flame broiler. On 5/6/2021 I went there to order takeout they were extremely busy. Got my order, came home, and opened the bag of food. Once i lifted the bowl I saw a dead cockroach in the bag! To make matters even worse was the attitude of the lady on the phone when I called and explained the situation. Her first response was to laugh and say "That's a first I've never heard that one before." Sorry, but a roach with the food is not funny. She then went on a rant saying she prepared all the bags and would never of missed seeing it and said "I don't know how it magically appeared there.. I'm not saying you put it there but I would never miss that." Flat out accusing me of being a liar and insisted she has to go check their very high tech cameras that see everything. I asked her for a refund because obviously I cannot eat the food and her response was... "Why not was there something wrong with the bowl?"
