FOOD. Ordered a classic smash burger with a small order of fries. The beef was juicy, thick and flavorful and the bun was soft and fresh. The smash burger was very good and I liked it. On the other hand, the fries were dull, spongy and greasy and I didn't like the fries. So, I deducted 2 stars for the fries. The meal was much more costly than a comparable burger and fries meal I can make in my own kitchen, but it's adequate for a "meal-on-the-go" fast food restaurant. AMBIANCE AND LOCATION. It's a typical Jack in the Box franchise, located near the 5 Freeway. Nothing special. Seating is provided inside the restaurant or you can use the drive-thru service. Parking was easy and the restaurant itself was clean. SERVICE. The counter staff was friendly and courteous. Service was fast and efficient. The location is Old Town Irvine Shopping Center. Across from Denny's/La Quinta Inn. The location is quite large and well-maintained. They do have a pick-up window at the door for any late-night order pick-ups as well as a drive-thru. After placing a mobile order my order was ready promptly. I don't know the name of this employee, but I think you can figure out who handled the order processing and order pick up on February 16th at 11:52 a.m. This lady is rude. No restaurant asks you to press all the buttons. She said she needed to see the customer's address, supposedly without it the order wouldn't be confirmed, but she's lying. If she had looked at your order tablet, she would have seen that I had confirmed the order. I've blocked your restaurant. Came through the drive thru like 10 minutes ago and had an excellent experience! The drive thru operator repeated our order and made sure they had it right and repeated it again at the window but not only did they get everything right but they put our meals together in individual bags with the right sauces. It was nice they took the time because we didn't order meals we ordered two Jr chicken sandwiches and two small fries and they had it all ready separated for us. The fries were hot and fresh too! Not a good jack in the box to come too I came for something real simple in order tacos. It took him 25 minutes to get me the tacos. The first time around they were cold. All they did was put them back in the fryer. Give them back to me and then let them sit there another five minutesand get cold again. I'm not happy with the service that I got here for something as simple as two tacos, I don't think it should be a problem. I have been coming to this JackInTheBox for quite a while, and I will say that it is one of the best Jacks I have gone to. I went to some other ones in irvine and they somehow always get my order wrong. When I come here, they always get my order correct. Theres is a young female that always attends me with a smile on her face. I think her name is Joana but I am not sure. I come here so often that this young woman always knows my order. Only my 2nd time at Jack in the Box in the last 7 years. It took the TMobile freebie deal (chicken sandwich with a purchase) to get me in. A great example of a beneficial collab. I had to download the app to place this order. It's an easy to use app. It had a fantastic feature "make now" red button you click when you're close to the destination so you can have the hottest and freshest meal. The chicken sandwich is small in comparison to other businesses. Kid's size but it's fine. It's enough for a meal. The chicken tasted like Burger King's. The onion ring was very good. Crunchy, not oily, large. Too pricey though for the size ($4). Pull your car up to the drive thru window, and they hand you your bag. Easy peasy. read more

Worst jack and the box experience ever. Ordered a breakfast platter and was given something reminiscent of something you would get off of the dollar menu. I didn't want to write this, but this is ridiculous. There's some middle-older age mexican lady with red tint hair and omg, every time she's here my order gets fucked up. Whether it's her forgetting sauce that she confirmed she put in the bag, the wrong flavor of coffee, or forgetting my orange juice. She always fucks up, and it's not a hard job. Went through the drive thru the other day and unfortunately was given the wrong meal. Called in and the lady was super nice about coming in to get a refund so I went in and Andrew not only helped me with a refund but went above and beyond and gave me a whole new meal that was what I originally wanted. It is Jack in the Box, so you expect cheap food for fulfilling the munchies. They have a standard menu and bring in a rotation of specials. This particular location is conveniently located right off the 5 freeway and is the nearest fast food location near the Great Park Ice Arena, so it is convenient when you have to feed hungry hockey players quickly. It works in a pinch. The staff have always been friendly and they keep it pretty clean. Meets our needs. read more

This location SUCKS. The customer service is despicable. Food quality is just okay if the employee's could manage to prepare an order correctly. I have been to this location many times with multiple issues. This morning my "meat lovers burrito" was just plain egg and cheese; no meat at all. Waffle sticks had no syrup and were burned to a crisp wreaking of dirty fryer oil. The dining room is always dirty and unkept. Employees laughing and gossiping in the back while customers wait.
