Jalapeno Lightning Burger. Lukewarm and patty was dry. Fries are very crunchy but lacking in flavor.

Maybe it was just so hyped up, maybe it was because we got it delivered and the burgers were ice cold. Either way, it was not what we had hoped for. We ordered the spicy chicken deluxe, jalapeño burger, two, single patty classics, onion rings and fries. Onion rings were the stand out item, the only thing that was warm, surprisingly. They had great crunch and flavor, super yummy. Spicy chicken deluxe had a nice crunch but the slaw was too sweet it overpowered everything; I did not enjoy. The classic smashburgers were very cold but I could forgive that since, as I mentioned, it was delivered. Regardless, the patty wasn't juicy or flavorful and neither was the cheese. At least the lettuce, tomatoes and onions were very fresh! Jalapeño burger was ok. I'm not a fan of Swiss cheese. I would give them a second chance maybe, but I'd go in to check out the place in person and I think I'd only try the classic burger again, hopefully it's better fresh. From the outside, the building looks cute and clean and the parking lot is usually pretty busy.

I came on a weekday hoping to get some fast food for dinner but it became more of a long detour. It took about an hour from arrival to receiving my food. It seemed that there needs to be improvement in time efficiency. The drive through line was being manned by 4-5 people and in the pickup area there was 3 people. I'm not sure how many people they have cooking, but it was very laid back. Honestly, I wanted to not like Stormburgers food, but dang.. this place hits. Not only are the burgers solid (tried the Jalepeno Lightning) but the fries and onion rings are fried to perfection. I probably won't be coming here after a long shift, but for sure would have this again (if I can avoid a line.)

I've been to this location twice; once when they first opened and again recently. The first time, we waited in the drive-thru line for an hour. The parking lot is fairly small, so although it looked like there were a lot of people, it really wasn't that busy. When we finally got to the pickup window, the worker handed us our food with her back turned, which was very rude. I also realized afterward that another worker was giving out coupons for free food, but we didn't receive one. During my recent visit, the line had died down, and we got our food within five minutes. I mentioned that during their grand opening week I had waited an hour and didn't receive a coupon. The worker said, "Oh, let me get you one; please drive forward." Then another worker approached us and said they didn't have any more, and rudely asked if we had everything we needed in our order. Again, no apology. Just another rude interaction. Both times, I ordered the BBQ bacon cheeseburger, and I really enjoyed it. The bun is soft, the fried onions are crispy, and you can taste the bacon in every bite. The patty is flavorful, but on the drier side, which some people may not like, but I personally do. The onion rings are also good, but $4.99 for a small serving (about seven pieces) is overpriced. The fries are good as well, lightly seasoned and crispy. Overall, the food is good, but the customer service definitely needs improvement.

So, my family lives around the corner and they have been waiting for the hype to go down so I coaxed my sis to walk up there. It was a wait, but not bad. We ate our food, but was it sensational, it was aight. Was it pricey, well it was what to he expected... Check out my photos for the visuals. Line was packed on Sunday night. Highly recommend to just park in another lot and walk up to the window and order. We waited 15 minutes for our food versus the hours we could've waited in that drive thru line. The burgers and sandwiches were all great here. I cannot understand how this place makes a profit by keeping these prices so low and quality so high. Kudos to the owners for figuring it out. All items were great here. The deluxe chicken sandwich was the only photo I got. Chicken was crispy and the sauce was delicious. Bbq Bacon cheese burger was incredible too. Very flavorful and had a lot of different textures to make it exciting. Love storm burger and really really advise you to just park instead of going through the drive thru.

I had the most amazing experience at StormBurger. This is my kind of burger joint, 10/10 all around. Don't be intimidated by the long lines, they moved us through quickly. The double cheeseburger was full of flavor, perfectly greasy and cheesy without being sloppy, just an all around great classic cheeseburger. The fries were fresh and crispy, and the chicken tenders were crispy and really good as well. The strawberry lemonade was sweet and seriously so nice and refreshing. Ooh, and I was ecstatic to be given a sample of their chocolate shake. She saw my excitement as I chugged it down and was kind enough to give me a second one. 10/10 customer service. Cool music and vibes even for a drive thru. I need more StormBurger in my life!!

Finally got a taste of this smash burger :) Line wasn't too hectic on a Sunday afternoon. Menu was handed to once you pull in the drive through lane. I went with the double classic combo. Didn't have to wait to long to get the food. Everything I ordered was in there. Took a bite of the burger and it was good. Fries a bit salty to my liking. Peach tea was fine, not too sweet. All in all the burger is delicious. I believe going with the combo is a little pricey. Stick to the burger and you'll be good.

I tried this establishment for the first time on 4/4/26 in the evening. The drive thru line was unimaginable, thank goodness for the online ordering option. There are approximately 5 companies you can choose from to place your online order with no fee. The wait time ordering online was about 15 minutes vs 30 + minutes in the drive thru.. Per armed security we had to find a parking spot on the street, which we did and walked over to the pickup window. I ordered a turkey burger $9.99, and a double classic storm burger combo with a strawberry lemonade. $15.49. There is an up charge for the strawberry lemonade of $2. I wasn't expecting 2 juicy turkey patties on my sandwich. The bread was fresh and delicious! The burger was delicious and juicy also. I ordered the fries "no salt"and unfortunately they were salted. *I took off a star due to the salt on the fries* The lemonade was very sweet but adding water fixed that and it was perfect. Overall the food was good. Everyone seemed to be on their best behavior waiting patiently. Music was being played on speakers and lots of people watching. They probably should have opted for a bigger location with parking and the ability to handle 2 drive through lanes with ease. I forgot to get a picture of the double classic storm burger and fries.

My kids highly recommended I try StormBurger because I love a great Smashburger. This joint replaced an old churches chicken. It's right on the corner of south and Cherry and the heart of North Long Beach. I really enjoyed the look and feel of the logo and colors that they use. They have walk up windows to order if you don't want to hit the drive-through, but parking is limited. They opened at 11:30am and I got there 15 minutes after to find the parking and drive-through packed. When I arrived a fire truck parked right in front and loaded their whole crew to order lunch. Despite the craziness, they had a very cool security officer who was directing the traffic and he was doing an amazing job. There are two lanes for the drive-through and I commend the managers for having the workers outside with tablets taking orders to keep the drive-through flowing smoothly. The line took about 20 minutes, but I also know that there was a difficult customer ahead of me that was unsure of their order. Other than that, they were as organized as can be. As soon as I hit the window, my order was ready. We ordered two combos of their western bacon barbecue burgers with a side of fries and onion rings and their strawberry lemonade. I ordered a classic cheeseburger. The kids had me asked for thunder sauce, and when I asked the worker what it was, she described it as an apricot habanero and let me tell you, it's fire! So good! I really enjoyed the classic cheeseburger. It was exactly that, a classic cheeseburger with all the flavors. The strawberry lemonade is so fresh and taste homemade, the strawberries in the lemonade were perfect. Their fries and onion rings are pretty classic and traditional. Unfortunately, one of us wasn't able to finish their burger because we found a big black piece of garment thread in it, but when I message the restaurant via IG and let them know about it, they seem sincere and apologized. I just wanted them to know so that they were aware. Things happen! I'll have to go back and order something different next time. I see they have chicken sandwiches I want to try.

Even with a long line, things moved at a steady pace and we had our food in about 30 minutes honestly better than I expected for the crowd! * The Service: Huge shoutout to the young lady taking orders. It was raining and hectic, but she was incredibly sweet and kept a smile on her face. Things got a little chaotic near the pickup window (the guys in front seemed a bit disorganized at first), but they eventually found their rhythm. * The Eats: Deluxe Chicken Sandwich: Really solid! The standout for me was the kale slaw it added a great crunch and flavor. * The Storm Burger: Hubby really enjoyed this one. * Fries: 10/10. They arrived hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. * The Drinks: The Strawberry Lemonade was the star of the show super refreshing. Minor Note: The honey mustard had great flavor, but it was a bit on the runny side. Verdict: It might not be a "life-changing" culinary experience, but it's a very "cool" spot with reliable food. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and craving a burger

My first time visiting Storm Burger this morning. All I can say is the food is nasty. I purchased the turkey burger combo. I requested for the meat patties to be well cooked (done). The meat was not well cooked. The burger was sloppy put together. I did not have a good experience for this to be my first time eating at this establishment. I prefer to go to Marathon Burger or In-N-Out.

I finally went to StormBurger in Long Beach. I'd have to say, it was pretty good. I decided to go for the onion rings rather than the fries. The onion rings were the best I've had. You could taste that they're homemade and their special seasoning was flavorful and crunchy. The burger was the double patty (smashed) with a nice flavoring, and, of course, served with iceberg lettuce, tomato, onion, and their special homemade sauce. It was a pretty good burger.

I'm not sure if the hype set my expectations a bit too high, but my experience was just okay. I ordered the Chicken Deluxe--it wasn't bad, but it didn't really stand out, especially for the price. I paid $33 for two combos, which felt a bit steep for what we got. My son ordered the Classic Double and really enjoyed it, so that was a plus. I went through the drive-thru, and it took about 30 minutes to receive my order. To be fair, I did visit on a weekend afternoon, so that likely contributed to the wait. Overall, I wasn't overly impressed this time around, but I'm open to giving it another try once things settle down. Hopefully, the experience will be better on my next visit.

Absolutely lived up to the hype! BBQ Bacon cheeseburger was so freaking good. Didn't skimp on the bacon at all, bbq sauce was very tasty. Fries were also really good. Stopped by on a Thursday at 12:30. Found parking and seating. Service was not only fast but extremely courteous! Great recommendations and amazing food. Onion rings were fresh and fries were perfectly crispy. Got the chicken sandwich deluxe (I think) with cheese and slaw and the BBQ bacon burger. Ingredients were fresh and delicious. The buns were amazing and a highlight of the meal. Loved the variety of sauces. Unfortunately we devoured prior to pics since I drove home to Lakewood but we will be back and will share pics next time. Can't wait for the brick and mortar. Don't let the truck and folding tables scare you. The vibe is great with music, nice staff and clean seating. Perfect for to go but fine for dining. read more

Stars are allocated for the great customer service I received from employee at the front who took my order. I came here for the first time yesterday after hearing great things about the food and I was excited to try it myself, so I came and ordered the classic StormBurger combo the chicken strips, onion rings and fries, and I must say I only had the burger, onion rings and some fries, but from the taste of everything, it was delicious. However, when I was eating my food and bit into my burger there was something hard that I had swallowed that was cutting my throat and choking me... I just assumed it was the outer layer of the onion rings that they may be fried by accident so I just set it to the side to see later since there was food on it and I put the burger away and didn't touch any more of the food after looking at it today, I've discovered they are wood chips. I'm not sure what they use wood chips for maybe they smoke the meat or something, but it should not go in the food at all. The food is great but almost choking for it does not make it worth it. I hope this situation can be fixed and resolved because as a first time customer, I'm not satisfied with the overall experience. read more

First off, let me start by saying the service was excellent, no issues there. The ambiance was just meh, nothing to write home about as it is a simple process: you either go to the drive-thru or order at their window with no dine-in available, which would be nice btw. However, as the food was tasty overall, the fries especially good as were the onion rings, the burgers have a good taste, BUT, it seems to me like they dip the entire burger in grease after the burger is completely put together. I'm not sure how they're cooking these, but there's so much grease all over, not only the burgers, but their chicken sandwich as well. My wife had a chicken sandwich and there was so much grease/oil all over it that it grossed her after one bit and threw it right in the garbage. Not sure if this can be fixed and maybe serve less oily burgers? Prices were not low, but not high. They align with most comparable burger place. read more

I almost never leave reviews, but this place seriously impressed me!! For a casual burger spot, the quality is kind of wild. The lemonades are so good and actually taste real because they use fresh fruit, which you can tell right away! The onion rings were one of the biggest standouts for me. They're hand dipped in batter and fried fresh, and they taste like it. Nothing felt overly processed or stale. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. The spicy chicken sandwich was honestly incredible. It reminded me of the Ding's chicken sandwich from Hillstone, which is not a comparison I make lightly. The fries were super crispy and just really solid too. I was genuinely shocked that a fast food place could taste this high quality. I crave it way more often than I want to admit. read more

Lots of hype behind this understandably! The lines are crazy long. The drive-thru has two long long lines. It took us 46 minutes from entering the drive-thru to getting our food. I timed it. The prices seemed fair. But we wanted to rate the food that we became here purely off of hype and to see what it's all about. We were fine paying a couple extra dollars. My family and I agree that the fries are pretty good. I imagine they would've been very very good fresh. So I'm looking forward to trying this place once all the hype dies down. According to my kids, the burgers were a little better than In-N-Out. So they get the nod there because we love In-N-Out. I would encourage them to come up with a different system because it seemed like they're trying to make more room so more cars can get in line but at the expense of people having to wait several extra minutes longer for their food. I imagine if the system was better, the lines would flow much quicker. Quickly comparing it to In-N-Out, the line are pretty much just as long if not a little longer since there are two lines, but the establishment is much smaller than a typical In-N-Out so I imagine the kitchen is tiny which is reflected in the 46 minute wait time. I think the food is good, but if you wanna try it out, I encourage you to do so, but only if you have near an hour. read more

Our order; BBQ burger combo - Upgraded to Large drink Chicken Deluxe Sandwhich combo - Strawberry Lemonade Kids combo - Strawberry Lemonade Total: $50 For what you pay for and what you get it was completely not worth it. In what sense? The wait time was 30min in the hot sun for our food, they are not ready for the huge amount of demand as the staff themselves started cursing at each other and talking heavy. Some even just saying how the ladies are just I quote "Norms waitresses" well all the cooks were just in the back doing nothing while the line got bigger and orders were stacking. They started kicking people out of the parking to be able to capacitate the line. It was pretty wild. And like I said for $50 the burgers were small, fries were pretty good but not the best and their slogan is "Real food, Real Fast, Real good." Yea it was not fast at all and not really that good. To be honest guys it's just another social media hyped up place that is mid at best and taxed. If you want a burger and for less time less price just go to in n out. It's honestly way better and just not worth the hassle. And in my photo I took 3 bites in my burger. read more

Every single item on this menu is delicious and affordable! We had the turkey burger, beef, burger, and chicken sandwich. They were sized perfectly, and we loved every single burger. The buns are also made fresh from a local bakery, and they have fresh made lemonade. We are official regulars here! The service was also amazing. I only wish they had seating, but that's okay, we just drive up the road to a local park and eat there. read more

Solid burgers! The onion rings were good too. The house drinks weren't all that great. The line went quick and decent service. It's a cool lil burger joint that we wanted to try and find out what all the hoopla was about and to support local small businesses. If you haven't tried them and want a decent burger, it might be worth the drive. I might drop by again if I'm in the area. read more

I was so excited to try!! Unfortunately, not what we expected. We waited 50 minutes in line for our order. When we finally got to the window, we received our food order, which was incorrect. Came here to support new local spot. I have driven past few times and discouraged by the long double line. Security is there to help direct traffic for a smooth experience. Staff is really friendly. The food was fresh and very good. The onion rings are above average and very crisp and crunchy and seasoned well. All the burgers are about a standard size. The apricot spicy sauce is good but caution if eating in your car..very runny. The downside is there is no where to park and eat. You must take it to go. Advice-Park your car and walk up. The gas prices are too high to sit in a car for 40 mins on a Sunday afternoon. They are very gracious and offer free shake samples while waiting. The staff are nice for standing in the smoldering heat on black asphalt. This is tough and so I hope they speed up their production to make it go faster. read more

It took about 12 mins to receive the food and the provide you with a pager. I wanted a smaller plate but they only have the option of 3 pieces or a 5 piece meal nothing for smaller appetites. This is a togo spot there is no inside dinning so all orders should come with your condiment breakdowns or you should be asked your desire. I was already on the freeway in traffic before I noticed the 2 most important condiments were not in my bag!!! The ketchup nor any hot sauce.! This almost got them a one star review for it. Im not even a big spicy girl and I was appalled it wasn't included. So I had to eat dry a$$ fries and try a bit of tartar sauce (which isn't my favorite thing in the first place) but who serves fries without at least offering ketchup? I asked for my shrimp to be lightly fried ( so they wouldn't taste like rubber) and he cooked them almost perfectly crisp. The fish was cooked lightly crisp as well This is why I didn't give a one star. The batter was light and flaky with much flavor generally not being a spicy girl I appreciate when the batter isn't what I deem spicy, but even I would have added a tinge of pepper flavoring to give a pop of extra flavor. The container is probably a highlight here they keep the food in cardboard. Now if you don't know plastic (all plastic is terrible for your body (the particles that come off of it and warming your food in them are definitely cancer callers) so this helps for safety and how your food sweats inside the container cardboard with holes always food to stay in its intended form fries in generally breathe better and don't get soggy like and less the crispness. So thanks for that. But please please clean the windows and the freezers they just look dingy. Who I go back? Only in an emergency. And that consists of the other place I like being closed as this place is open until 8. So anytime I need some fried fish after 640 this is that spot!

this is my first time at storm burger & i just experienced the worst customer service ever. i stood outside the window for about 15-20 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. two hispanic women in polo-style shirts came to the window numerous times, looked directly through me, and never once asked if i had been helped or needed anything. it felt like i was completely ignored (WHICH I WAS). after waiting, the shorter hispanic lady finally asked me what my name was. i told her that i had been waiting there for a long time, and she responded, "i saw you standing for 10 minutes, that's why i'm coming to the window now." i then asked to speak to a manager. she said, "ok, wait, let me get you one," and as she was walking away, i noticed her shirt was different from everyone else's, so i asked if she was a manager. she verbally said "NO", but then me stating that i see her shirts are different from the rest she hesitated to tell me yes, i asked why would she deny being a manager & she said "i think you wouldn't want to speak with me." i asked for her name, and she said gissell. eventually she said she would get the other manager named star. another 5 minutes passed & neither one of the managers came back to speak with me, but later i seen star walking from around the back and went right past me to handle a situation in the drive-thru with another employee, without acknowledging me once again. i was close enough to hear the name of the other employee in drive thru named edward, she went to go have a conversation with while i was still not being helped. on top of it all, i observed star later coming back in and walking past me AGAIN. she stood at the grey machines in the middle, looking at the wall, scratching her butt, and never once washed her hands, which raised concerns about cleanliness and food safety. overall, the lack of acknowledgment, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior made this a very disappointing first experience. i do have a recording that i will be posting if it allows me. those two "managers (star & gissell) need to have training about better customer service skills. as a customer i would understand if the establishment was busy (IT WAS NOT) & they told me to wait a while but me standing outside for approximately 30mins with not even a "hi/ hello is honestly so crazy to me. read more

When I got home and checked the order, I realized that out of the three Double Burgers, there was only one -- the other two were replaced with regular burgers. There was no warning or explanation. This means I paid for more expensive items but received cheaper ones instead. At best, this is negligence; at worst, it feels like misleading the customer. My family, especially the kids, were very upset because they were expecting exactly what we ordered. This kind of mistake is unacceptable. I expect the restaurant to contact me and resolve this issue -- either by refunding the difference or offering proper compensation. Otherwise, I will be forced to leave an appropriate rating and warn other customers about this experience. Very disappointed with the service. read more

Went in during a busy time, which I understand, but waited about 20 minutes for a single burger while watching multiple customers who ordered after me get their food first. It became pretty obvious my order was skipped or lost. When I brought it up, there wasn't much urgency or clear effort to fix it, which made the situation more frustrating. Mistakes happen, but ignoring it and not communicating is what really made this a bad experience. Hopefully this gets addressed because the system clearly broke down here. Excellent Service When Entering The Drive - Thru , Food Was So Delicious & Very Good Quality For Its Standardize Burger Joint , Security Upon Entry Was Very Polite , Although the one at the end was rude did still feel welcomed . Ricky was very excellent on his customer service skills and made sure my food was handle with care & Did have everything I ordered nothing was missing . First Time & Satisfied. read more
