The first two times we came here were great, so we decided to bring our daughter and her friend. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. The fries were cold, my burger was missing the bacon that I paid extra for, and my husband's jalapeño burger didn't have any jalapeños on it. We waited about 25 minutes for our food even though we ordered at the walk-up window. By the time we noticed the mistakes, we didn't want to make the drive back, so we just ate it. We were in the neighborhood tonight and hadn't visited since SB was just using a food truck while their building was being prepared. It was quick service in the drive through. Notable was the heavy duty to-go bags with our order providing insulation for the 15 minute drive home with no grease ladened soggy bag upon arrival. The burgers were huge and well wrapped and labeled. Very good burgers. I would even have given a 5th star except..... We were looking forward to the extra special coated fries. But they were so very over salted to the point of not even being able to eat them. We threw away most of the fries. A huge letdown. I decided to give Storm Burger a second chance, hoping my experience would be better this time. The drive-thru line wasn't very long, and the employee who took my order was incredibly sweet. She provided the menu without assuming I knew. However, the drive-thru setup is confusing. There are two lanes that eventually merge into one, which I understand is meant to keep the line from backing up into the street. The problem is that there's no employee directing traffic or alternating cars when the lanes merge. As a result, drivers become frustrated because no one wants to let the other lane merge. Even though there were only about five cars ahead of me, I waited approximately 20 minutes without the line moving. I asked another employee what was causing the delay, and she said they were understaffed. I understand staffing challenges happen, but I also noticed three employees standing outside after one of the drive-thru lanes had been closed. If the kitchen was short-staffed, it seemed like those employees could have been helping inside instead of standing around. Since I had only ordered one sandwich, I politely asked if, once it was ready, someone could bring it out to me instead of letting it sit while I waited for the cars ahead. I explained that I didn't want to get home with a cold sandwich. The employee assured me she would do that. She was nice about it. Eventually, after all but one car ahead of me had left, she finally brought out my sandwich. Unfortunately, I live only one stoplight away, and by the time I got home, the sandwich was already cold. To make matters worse, the Storm Sauce I paid extra for wasn't even in the bag. I tried calling the restaurant, but there's no way to speak to a live person or leave a voicemail. The recording instructs customers to send an email instead, so I did. I waited several days but never received a response. In the end, I threw the sandwich away. There wasn't much point in trying to reheat a cold sandwich, especially without the sauce I had paid for. I'm disappointed because I really wanted to like Storm Burger. Unfortunately, the operational issues, long wait, cold food, missing item, and lack of customer follow-up left me turned off from giving it another try. Stormburger definitely took me by storm and when I went last week it was packed during lunch! Didn't realize it was mostly a concept for takeout because of the drive-thru but enjoyed my food standing up at their little standing area to eat. Their drive-thru had two lanes looking like Chick-fil A out here. Ordered at their window and parked in a parking lot for their customers. It's very limited but did the job. When ordering, I was practically shouting because the music was really really loud but other than that the food was solid. Went here hopefully it would be very good. It was ok, acceptable but not great. I got the classic and husband for the jalapeño one. Classic was pretty dry, the meat was just not enjoyable because it was so dry. The jalapeño one wasn't as dry though and his was better than mine. Fries and onion rings tasted like they were made a while ago and sitting in a heater, they weren't fresh. I came on a weekday hoping to get some fast food for dinner but it became more of a long detour. It took about an hour from arrival to receiving my food. It seemed that there needs to be improvement in time efficiency. The drive through line was being manned by 4-5 people and in the pickup area there was 3 people. This was my third time picking up food from Stormburger and the food is consistently good. We always get their burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, and onion rings. Their proteins are delicious but I'm a sides girl at heart and fortunately for my taste buds--unfortunately for my hips--their sides are awesome! Their service is always friendly and relatively quick. The first time when I ordered from the walk up window a sweet young woman was giving out samples of their milk shakes; their chocolate milkshake is perfection. But what I really wanted to highlight is the staff that helped me on the early evening of Thursday, June 30, 2026, when my 24 year old Honda Odyssey started making loud groaning noises and was sputtering smoke and literally just died out right as I was about 3 feet from the drive thru window. My van had overheated and it wouldn't start up and three Stormburger employees helped me move my minivan out of the driveway and get it to a safe spot out of the way. They were all helpful and kind and I never had the sense that they were feeling annoyed or judgmental. They were all just ready and willing to help a lady out. The young woman who was handing out the orders even brought the order out to me at my van while I was waiting for my husband and the tow truck. The Stormburger security guard helped my husband and the tow truck driver move the van into the right spot so it could be loaded onto the flatbed. I was a little flustered and worried about the only brand new vehicle I have ever owned so other than a few quick "Thank yous" that I said to the Stormburger staff members that helped me at the time I didn't get a chance to go back and thank them before we left to follow the tow truck home but I truly appreciate their assistance and great attitudes and, of course, the tasty and comforting food. read more

I've been to this location twice; once when they first opened and again recently. The first time, we waited in the drive-thru line for an hour. The parking lot is fairly small, so although it looked like there were a lot of people, it really wasn't that busy. When we finally got to the pickup window, the worker handed us our food with her back turned, which was very rude. I also realized afterward that another worker was giving out coupons for free food, but we didn't receive one. During my recent visit, the line had died down, and we got our food within five minutes. I mentioned that during their grand opening week I had waited an hour and didn't receive a coupon. The worker said, "Oh, let me get you one; please drive forward." Then another worker approached us and said they didn't have any more, and rudely asked if we had everything we needed in our order. Again, no apology. Just another rude interaction. Both times, I ordered the BBQ bacon cheeseburger, and I really enjoyed it. The bun is soft, the fried onions are crispy, and you can taste the bacon in every bite. The patty is flavorful, but on the drier side, which some people may not like, but I personally do. The onion rings are also good, but $4.99 for a small serving (about seven pieces) is overpriced. Finally got a taste of this smash burger :) Line wasn't too hectic on a Sunday afternoon. Menu was handed to once you pull in the drive through lane. I went with the double classic combo. Didn't have to wait to long to get the food. Everything I ordered was in there. Took a bite of the burger and it was good. Fries a bit salty to my liking. Peach tea was fine, not too sweet. I had the most amazing experience at StormBurger. This is my kind of burger joint, 10/10 all around. Don't be intimidated by the long lines, they moved us through quickly. I tried this establishment for the first time on 4/4/26 in the evening. The drive thru line was unimaginable, thank goodness for the online ordering option. There are approximately 5 companies you can choose from to place your online order with no fee. The wait time ordering online was about 15 minutes vs 30 + minutes in the drive thru.. Per armed security we had to find a parking spot on the street, which we did and walked over to the pickup window. I ordered a turkey burger $9.99, and a double classic storm burger combo with a strawberry lemonade. $15.49. There is an up charge for the strawberry lemonade of $2. I wasn't expecting 2 juicy turkey patties on my sandwich. The bread was fresh and delicious! The burger was delicious and juicy also. I ordered the fries "no salt"and unfortunately they were salted. *I took off a star due to the salt on the fries* The lemonade was very sweet but adding water fixed that and it was perfect. Overall the food was good. Everyone seemed to be on their best behavior waiting patiently. Music was being played on speakers and lots of people watching. They probably should have opted for a bigger location with parking and the ability to handle 2 drive through lanes with ease. It was soggy and laughed a little of the meat flavor. Everything in there was wilted. I know I had to travel about 15 minutes to my destination to have the Burger, but when I did, it wasn't a good experience the marketing was top-notch as far as the bag to the soda cups to the Burger box. But for $22 I expected more I would much have rather went to Five Guys or get two In-N-Out meals for that price. I received the bag quickly, but left right away to not clog up the drive through, as it's not a huge space. The materials are high quality - the cup for my soda was sturdy, and the bag was surprisingly thick, which signals to care and quality. However, my order ended up COMPLETELY wrong. My turkey burger was supposed to have ONLY cheese and onion, and it had just sauce and tomato. That said, it was juicy, well seasoned, and the bun was good. Also, I ordered 2 extra dipping sauces for the fries, and they never made it in the bag, so I was out $2. The soda was crisp, so that was a good thing. The fries were crunchy, and piping hot, which is AMAZING. I'd just say that there was a bit TOO much Cajun spice. I love well seasoned food, but the seasoning was grainy, with was kind of unpleasant in that quantity, and VERY flavorful, which kind of burned out my tongue to taste anything else. They had great crunch and flavor, super yummy. Spicy chicken deluxe had a nice crunch but the slaw was too sweet it overpowered everything; I did not enjoy. The classic smashburgers were very cold but I could forgive that since, as I mentioned, it was delivered. Regardless, the patty wasn't juicy or flavorful and neither was the cheese. At least the lettuce, tomatoes and onions were very fresh! Jalapeño burger was ok. I'm not a fan of Swiss cheese. I would give them a second chance maybe, but I'd go in to check out the place in person and I think I'd only try the classic burger again, hopefully it's better fresh. I ordered a burger, but was given a cheeseburger...it wasn't bad at all. Smash Burger- 4! I would have given it a well deserved 5, but most of the outer patty was charred (yes, burnt to a crisp). Delicious flavor in the sauce with fresh lettuce & tomato. Chicken Strips- 5! Homemade little strips with outer deliciousness. Cornflakes in the batter. Wow! Peach-Lemonade- 5! Insanely refreshing with little bits of peach floating in the crushed ice. If you are famished, you will not fill up with one burger. They are a bit on the smaller side, but bursting with flavor. Parking is not the best...there are about 10 spaces. Park on the street or take your food to go. Drive-thru is a available. I was there at about 2:30pm and it was very busy, but quick. I finally went to StormBurger in Long Beach. I'd have to say, it was pretty good. I decided to go for the onion rings rather than the fries. The onion rings were the best I've had. You could taste that they're homemade and their special seasoning was flavorful and crunchy. Yo!! The fries a really good. It's flavorful, the texture is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I didn't even use ketchup. I haven't had good fries like that in a while. I also got the Classic Stormburger, it's fresh and the bun is really soft and good and the burger is juicy. And it's affordable. This place is really busy. The line for the drive thru is long and every time I drive by I'm like "nah I ain't that hungry". We decided to park and just order from the window.
