Been here a few times before but never gave a review. Was just here this last Saturday evening. Found parking with no problem. Made an order online, no issues. Waited for about 10 mins before going inside. Restaurant appeared to be clean. It was quiet with a few folks placing orders at the kiosks. My order was ready for pick about 2 mins later. No issues with receiving my order. The young lady was nice and professional. I ordered something quick, the $7.99 Meal Deal. It's worth the price. Food was cool, nothing spectacular. One churro isn't enough tho. read more

When I received my order everything in the order was cold, not warm but cold!! And my quac & chip were not there. I called and spoke to Efrain, the manager. He told me to write his name on the receipt and bring it into the store and he'll replace my order. Cool. Guess what, checked the bag and there's no receipt! Please do better, because now I have no dinner. Debra Phillips read more

The worst customer service. They didn't want to help. I went to the counter and I stood there. Someone coming back from lunch helped me with their food from another restaurant in their hand. Smh. Food was ok. read more

EL Pollo Loco's quality has gone waaaayyyy down. They don't seem to give a damn anymore about the food quality or customer service, but they don't have a problem charging a lot of money for very, very little food I wish that I could give 10 negative stars to the in Compton Ca on Compton Bivd and the location Central and Artesia. read more

I never write reviews but after many time going to this pollo loco it has really fallen off in service. I asked for no pico and it's written on the receipt and they still add pico. The highlight of my visit was the sides and soda. Also seeing the hustle or the lady getting us in and out... didn't ask any questions but we weren't at the counter for over 2 minutes. . Having a fast food background during high school and college. It seems to me that this location is understaffed and the employers are struggling to keep up. That being said, there's no sense of being welcomed, acknowledged and the chicken wasn't warm, although the sides were right on. At the end of my lunch visit, around 1pm. The restaurant sounded like a construction zone, with the butchering of the bird with the cleaver or the constant arranging of the lobby chairs by a crew member. It seems like making a profit/running labor takes a front seat and QSC&V are out the window at this location. read more

This place has went down ever since my last couple visits , the general manager Juan was helping me on the kiosk and he seemed absolutely overwhelmed during the lunch hour. He seemed super clueless on l assisting me with the menu. How can a general manager be so clueless? An employee had to step in shoutout Hector for helping me out. If I could put no stars I WOULD this dumb a$$, slow a$$, never have anything a$$, location needs to be shut the F down! They constantly mess up orders. I've had 5 incidents in the last 2 weeks alone where I drive on my lunch from my job 8 mins away just to get all the way back to work with no fork or napkins any type of utensils given! Oh and The employees? They think it's hilarious! I literally miss my break 3/5 times a week because of them. This is going on a year of bad service. To top it all off they told me to start "checking my bag" NO DIPSH!T why don't we start checking our coworkers and getting on their behinds for making repeated mistakes! i used to receive very good service from this location but things have apparently changed ALOT. Jonathan is the best thing that could of happened to this El Polo Loco. He's the cook, but every time I go in there at lunch time, he's gives great Customer Service . I went to this restaurant to order 16 piece family meal. They said it will take 30 minutes. This was during lunch hours!! I went to another one nearby and they said 45 minutes! Worst place ever, came on my lunch to order thrue the drive thrue, and when it was my turn to order no one greeted me, I had to speak and they told me to wait, they took 5 minutes long just having me wait there, once I asked for the 2pc meal with breast and wing they said they don't have any breast, I didn't mind waiting and later told me that the wait time was 45 minutes, I know it doesn't take 45 minutes to grill a breast not even when you go to Mastros restaurant takes that long for a steak. Sad. Just sad. In a pandemic environment we live you would think that restuarants would have the highest level standard of cleanliness and sanitation. Not this one. You walk in and first thing you see is crumbs on the floor and a sticky floor, that's just entering the shop. Wait till you walk in the dining area. Fountain soda machine obviously haven't been sanitized for some time. There's a sanitation bucket left next to the horchata machine. So maybe they attempted to clean and then just forgot. Tables haven't been sanitized after each customer. Chairs and tables are filthy with left over crumbs and spilled drinks. There's no excuse for why staff isn't cleaning. There was 2 people in the dining room. It wasn't busy. I suspect no manager was scheduled or manager doesn't care. read more

Pros: friendly, quick customer service Order is repeated for accuracy Additional salsas/dressings are offered Chicken breast meat is tender, seasoned well, & cooked just right, according to my family (I don't eat it.) What ever happened to customer service? When I went to this Compton location, through the drive-thru, I got my food from someone that never looked at me. Wanting some house salsa and creamy cilantro, I tried to get the drive thru attendants attention, but she was pre-occupied. Then I tried to get the managers attention, who looked right at me when I waved my hand to flag her down. She turned away. I waited approximately 45 - 55 seconds before I got the attendants attention to get salsa, which she handed out the window without looking. When I got home to eat, the rice was hard indicating that it wasn't too fresh either. SMH I know they can do better.... read more

Just moved to the neighborhood, 5 minutes away. I rarely write a review.. but this place sucks big time! Drive thru are usually faster than walk-in, 4 cars in front of me waited 45 mins. 15 more minutes at the window ordered double chicken tostada & 3 piece meal. Just for them to not have corn, Mac n cheese, flour tortillas only corn tortillas but they didn't put corn tortillas or even cilantro sauce for my burnt cold double chicken tostada. 3 pieces felt like it was microwave warm. Top of that they gave me a spoon, who the heck eat their salad with a spoon? Top management needs to clean house here. I counted over 4 employees thru the drive window who just standing there watching the rear of the store. Should of took off when I got to the window, the car in front of me paid then waited & asked for a refund. That was a sign & should of went with my instinct. During wait I was reading the reviews & they ain't lying should of went to McDonald's across there. read more

They're closed before they're even supposed to be closed. I can clearly see the workers inside and they've completely left me in the drive thru! So rude! Something needs to be done about this because you guys can't keep promoting false business hours when your employees want to close down early because they want to. It's a waste of the customers time. I came on 9/17 at 9:45pm. The drive thru doesn't close until 10pm. read more

I checked my GPS after finishing up some errands for a Pollo Loco and decided to drive there and wait for them to open at 10am. I arrived about 15min early and decided to wait as I was really in the mood for this. Finally 10am hits but I still wait about 5min to not sure, give them a bit of extra time I guess. I pull up to the drive thru, a young lady greets me and asks what I would like...I ask for a tortilla soup, and she has me wait for about 2min. She then comes back to tell me "sorry we won't be open until 11am" seriously....? read more
