For myself, I ordered the Holdaak Spicy Sandwich combo (w/ cheese) and a few extra sauces on the side. My boyfriend ordered the Seoul Spicy Sandwich with a side of garlic parm fries. Here's our verdict: My boyfriend enjoyed his sandwich but did mention the garlic parm fries lacked flavor. He enjoyed the sandwich but said his overall meal was unmemorable. I honestly agree with my boyfriend's statement as I felt like my meal sort of fell into the that same category. Now don't get me wrong, my crinkled fries were good and my sandwich was definitely well seasoned. However, I just can't help but feel that I was missing that "WOW" factor that distinguishes this spot from the many other Korean fried chicken joints I've tried. The Honey Lemon Pepper were so good and has a nice balance between the lemon and honey, not overpowering in flavor. The sweet chili has a perfect amount of sweetness and kick to them. I'm open to coming back to try the spicy sandwich and maybe it was the item I got and it was a miss? My husband got the original sandwich and he said he liked it and would get it again. Holdaak offers delicious chicken wings, chicken strips, party sliders, chicken wraps and of course their famous chicken sandwiches. Personal recommendation: Original Wings with sauce on the side. Fresh, juicy & delicious! Dip your wings so they don't get soggy! The wings are pretty huge tbh; I was full after 3 pieces... Expect to wait at least 20 minute if you order wings because they make them fresh to order. It's worth the wait! The chicken strips are good too. It's made out of chicken breast so it's a tad bit dry, but the sauce makes up for it. Get the original flavor & order the sauce on the side. House special sauces - Seoul Spicy & Caramel soy. Seoul Spicy 5/5: if you like sweet & spicy, this one is for you! (Wet sauce, not dry rub!) Caramel Soy 4/5: It's a sweet caramel, soy, butter & garlic flavor. It's a little too sweet for me tbh. I thought this would be the one for me, but I have honestly have tried better sweet soy from other Korean chicken spots. Spicy 4/5: simply, but delicious! You can actually adjust the spicy level! Honey Mustard 3.5/5: I'm not a huge honey mustard fan to be honest, it's not something I would typically order, but this one is pretty good! It's a good balance of the two. I wouldn't recommend drenching my wings or chicken strips in this, but I'd recommend it as a dip! My husband LOVES their honey mustard and would rate it a 5/5. Service: pretty good for a new store. The super nice employee at the register there told me if I liked spicy food, then next time I should give the spicy chicken sandwich a try... and with the daikon slaw. Best recommendation ever! The chicken is juicy and tender. The spices on their batter are so flavorful. I was worried the slaw would take away from the spiciness. It did no such thing. Ok this place opened up a few months ago but i hadn't heard about it until we got some coupons. I looked it up and saw it was a chain restaurant. It's in a big strip mall with alot of businesses and a very busy grocery store. I've been there twice now, the restaurant is clean, spacious, and the employees are very helpful and patient. An amazing little spot! Their restaurant is always clean. Their staff are always welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food is on point! My favorites are the Seoul spicy chicken sandwich. It is not too spicy, it's edible without breaking a sweat and you are able to enjoy it. I am also fond of their chicken wrap and their crispy chicken salad. The chicken wrap is pretty much their crispy chicken salad wrapped in a tortilla. My daughter's favorite is their original chicken tenders with their plain fries. After a few minutes trying to figure it out, I reached the cut off for online pick ups (30mins before closing). The last time I visited this local location I also didn't have the best experience (my online order was cancelled without explanation & I had to go place the order myself). I do enjoy the food so I gave it a 2nd chance. I know missing the item is not a big deal, but I'm just disappointed with the experiences overall because, like I said, I do enjoy the food. I haven't been to Holdaak in a cool minute! Probably since the COVID lockdowns but at the Fullerton location. I was in the paramount area and decided to bring back lunch home for everybody. I ordered an Original Holdaak, Spicy Original Holdaak, two Al a carte tenders ( soy and Seoul spicy ) , and a 3 tender combo. The food is just as good as I remember. The spicy Holdaak packed lots of flavor. From the chicken to the seasoning/spicy sauce and pickled daikon. Every bite never disappoints. The tenders were big in portion and generously coated in sauce. The sauce itself was good and I recommend soy and spicy Seoul. Fries were solid, crispy crinkle cut, classic. The comeback sauce is also good. I always buy an extra one. Overall. I recommend Holdaak. Fullerton or Paramount location. I spent about $40+ including tip but the food is well worth it. read more

I looked it up online and decided to stop by -- it was love at first bite. I tried the Holdaak Spicy combo with a coke and it came to $15 and something cents (the price is steep but hear me out). My boyfriend was also very impressed and said that the price point was worth it since the food is good. The slaw they put in the sandwich adds so much flavor and the zig zag fries are perfectly crispy and just the right amount of soft! The bread is soft and the chicken is a good size -- enough to fill you up and enough to have a bite of chicken, bread, and slaw In every bite. I'm a huge fountain drink fan and it's hard to find a place that doesn't give flat soda. Their fountain machine is maintained and makes the soda come out crispy every time (like McDonald's crispy lol). I just get bummed out because every time I have gone, it's only me in there. Only one other family has been in there and I get so bummed out I hate the fact that this place is truly a hidden gem and I would hate to lose it due to low profits!
