I stopped by on a hot Sunday evening with my family, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by how calm and relaxed the atmosphere was. Sometimes Sunday evenings at sandwich shops can be hectic, but this visit was pretty smooth from start to finish. I ordered the Club Supreme, Mike's Way, and added yellow peppers and pickles. If you're a fan of a sub with a little extra tang, crunch, and acidity, I definitely recommend adding both. The combination worked really well with the meats, cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and the Mike's Way dressing. Everything came together nicely, and the bread had a good texture without overpowering the fillings. One thing I really appreciated was being able to customize my sub more than I expected. I never thought I'd be able to add so much to it, but they were accommodating, which made the sandwich feel much more tailored to what I wanted. A big shoutout to Aaron, who helped me and my family during our visit. He provided excellent customer service and was friendly and helpful throughout the ordering process. Good customer service can really make a difference, especially when you're ordering for a group, and Aaron definitely made the experience better. The food was good, the restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the overall vibe was laid-back. No unnecessary chaos, no long stressful wait, and the staff was welcoming. For a Sunday evening, I couldn't have asked for a much smoother experience. read more

Picture says it all Not too happy Looks like 6 grader made my sandwich For a field trip. You skimped out on our meat and my tuna. I asked for the rosemary bread and you gave me stale white bread. My wife asked for jalapeños and mustard and I asked for pickles and yellow peppers they put my stuff on hers and her stuff on mine. Also I specifically asked you guys not to cut the sandwich I hate that you do this all the time!!!! After I tell you to not do that in the special instructions. Get it together read more

I had an online order, I get a text message saying that my order was canceled, do to driver, I call the store stating my situation and if my order was still there, so I can pick it up, the person on the line says we gave your order to the wrong driver, I ask them can you guys redo the order and I can pick it up, she states that no we can't cause we will be handing over free sandwiches, I'm like you just did to a driver that never delivered my food!! 6:50 PM I tried to give them another try, this time there was no bread. So your closed? No there open. Ok are you making any bread? Both employees looking at each other. I am officially NEVER coming to this place ever again. I just dont understand how you can just run out of bread. read more

Out of five people that were here, I was not greeted or even acknowledged. I stood there for 5 minutes waiting to be acknowledged to get my two orders (one I placed and one my brother placed). One guy was waiting ahead of me and his order wasn't ready so he walked out and apparently got a boba next door because he came back and they told him his order still wasn't ready. They still didn't ask how they could help me but 3 of them made eye contact with me then carried on replacing a cabinet door, making sandwiches and putting stickers on bags. I said I've been waiting here for my two online orders. "Oh, what's the name?" Customer service is LACKING greatly! read more

Always had good success at this location, its my go-to! Jersey Mike's has the best sandwiches - i get the roast beef or the club supreme. Everyone is always very nice and the restaurant is usually clean (including bathrooms). They are also respectful of my husband's gluten intolerance. He loves their red relish. I love that they sell miss vickie's chips here but i wish they would come back with the original flavor. But lately they've had spicy pickle so i get that instead! I will keep coming here. Good location and plenty of parking. read more

Poor service, employees using inappropriate language back and forth. I walked out. What a shame because I really wanted a sandwich

My online order said it would be ready at 1:39. I'm sitting here at 2:05 and it's not ready yet. Unfortunate.

I feel like they don't see us, customers, waiting! Crazy they dont wanna take orders, and just go in the back when theres a line here and peole are waiting. After 20 mins of wait eneded leaving the store without purchasing anything read more

I went in to grab a late lunch on 5/13, I placed my order nobody in front or behind me and only a few online orders they were working on. I'm at my table with my drink and chips on my phone and realized that everyone is gone from the front work area, everything is clean and I have no sandwich. I walk up to ask and the worker "yelp won't let me post names, we will address the employee as E" is in the back talking to another employee with my sandwich "#42" that was made 11 mins prior in her hand!! . The employee E acted like a lil kid playing the "you give it to him game with only us in the store and I can hear and see everything"!. This isn't E's first time messing up my order, "this time E didn't know it was my order and we do not know one another or have any reason to be negative with one another, I went there in March and the same person E messed up my order after telling the employees what I ordered and the cashier having my order E repeated twice rung for me to pay. When I received my wrong order E tried telling me that's what I ordered "yet everyone else including what I paid for proved E was wrong" E then tells me in front of everyone "you're lucky I'm going to remake your order"! E was the one that messed up and everyone there knew, E was not trained properly, E isn't made for this line of customer service The worst part is jersey mikes email complaint dept has left me hanging with nobody to yet reply to me, the Downey phone line has been a busy signal since that event may 13th. Jersey mikes has always been and easy to get a good lunch and get out and back to work. This store has by far been the worst one I've been too and thats not to e said about all of the stores, for some reason it's this one and only this one. I'm going this one gets to the right person so that service only goes up from here. read more

I'll take a regular turkey and provolone. The bread is soft with the right texture. The cheese and meats are sliced thin after you order. You get to watch the slice process in action. It can be hypnotic when you're hungry. Next you'll be asked if you want it "Mike's Way". Yes, you do. Say yes, as I advised and they'll proceed to add lettuce, onions and tomatoes to your sandwich followed by generous amounts of what can only be liquid pixie dust captured in a couple of bottles. A few shakes of spice, slice the completed sandwich in half, wrap and it's all yours. Clean, quick and friendly service. read more

Service is absolutely down the drain these days at most chain restaurants. Jersey Mike's is, unfortunately, no exception. I ordered a Bacon Ranch Chicken Cheese Steak sandwich for pickup. 30 minutes, the app said. Fine. I pulled up about 25 minutes later and walk in. First of all, all 4 employees were just back there shooting the shit, as if they had no work to do. Meanwhile, the store looked filthy. I even realized upon getting my drink cup that there were no regular size lids out and maybe a handful of large ones. What happened to store maintenance and cleanliness? Anyway, I was greeted upon entry and after giving the girl my name, she reflexively says "they're working on that for you." Mind you, again, there was no working going on. Further, my sandwich was sitting right there on the back counter, unbagged. I mean, hello? So after jumping out of autopilot and consulting with her coworkers, she realizes that's my sandwich and starts putting it in the bag. Then just kind of gets sidetracked? Then another girl comes over and asks which chips I had and puts them in the bag. I told them not to seal it but she did it anyway then she gave me the cup, I got my drink, and noticed the lack of tops. So I get one of the girls to come over and she gives me a top. She's nice, this is fine. Then I get in my car and check my sandwich because I've learned not to trust my order will be correct in this day and age, and find the note on the wrapper saying they are out of ranch. At no point in the 30 minute order processing time did anyone on staff think to themselves, hey, maybe we should call and let her know WE DON'T HAVE ONE OF THE INGREDIENTS IN THE FUCKING SANDWICH TITLE. *Heavy sigh* So I go home, put MY OWN RANCH on this sandwich I paid full price for, and decide I am just done eating out. This is my last straw. The only places that have never failed me are In N Out and Taco Bell. Probably the only places I'll ever go now, if I ever bother again. What a shame it has been to watch the decline of so much in the world. read more

The crew at this Jersey Mike's in Downey, CA, got us in just before 9PM (closing time) on 7/12/22. They gave us no grief about walking in while they were cleaning. All smiles and quick service. So appreciated these days. Each kids meal was $6.45. Not bad considering it was a fairly loaded sandwich with a cookie and drink. A small bag of chips was $1.95. I like the regular #42. It's the Chipotle Chicken Cheesesteak ($9.75). Not a bad meal for a late night with the kiddos after karate classes. It's located at the Downey Promenade shopping center adjacent to Floor & Decor. There's free, ample parking and several other eateries nearby if your friends have a hankering for something else. read more

This review is for the owner to read. I was just there and your employees would not open the door. 4 of your employees looked at us waiting at the door, we knocked several times but they would not bother unlocking the main door or even coming to tell us to wait even thought it was past the time to open business. They don't care to do their job, just stand and chit chat. You lost 5 customers this morning. read more

Food was hot and super good.. HANDS DOWN BEST JERSEY MIKES IN DOWNEY... and should be the only jersey mikes because they get the job done here. Perfect bread and perfect service Cool vibe/ ambiance Definitely a staple in Downey in terms of a sand-which. The 17 I ordered was followed by what size and what bread !!! I said regular and rosemary parm... extra onions and I was told " no problem" we will get that for you..., In a matter of minutes, I receive the most greatest sandwich I have ever received in my squander of life. Upon my return to my home, I open this great gift that I was given by Jersey Mike's lady dedicated to me. The wrapping had a number 17 which indicated a Philly's beef sandwich upon the unwrapping of the sandwich I discovered what love was, I remember opening my heart and my stomach and of course, my mouth to ingest this gracious gift . It was perfectly made the bread was ever so soft to the touch with the right amount of Parmesan cheese on top, sprinkled on a little bit of rosemary . My first bite, I fell in love with the idea that one person could make me happy which was Jersey, Mike's, and only this location in Downey no other and I mean it no other can make a sandwich like I experienced here at Jersey Mike's. read more

ONE OF THE BEST SPOTS FOR QUALITY SUBS IN THE DOWNEY AREA! Late one evening, I was looking to order some sandwiches for an EARLY morning (4am) breakfast for me and three friends. Typically, I would've gone to a Subway location, but this time I wanted something a little different--enter Jersey Mike's. It was my first time patronizing the Downey location and it had a calm atmosphere. The workers were helpful and provided great service! I ordered 2 giant-sized sandwiches: The Original Italian and Turkey & Provolone. Upon request, the gentleman making my sandwich cut my sandwiches into quarters and wrapped them individually--so helpful for the next day! RECOMMENDATIONS: The Rosemary Parm bread is a MUST-try. Getting your sandwich "Mike's Way" is delicious; however, unless you will be eating the sandwich immediately, ask for the vinegar/olive oil blend on the side instead of in the sandwich. Otherwise, your sandwich might be slightly soggy when you finally go to eat it. If you're itching for a non-Subway sub sandwich experience, consider Jersey Mike's in Downey! read more

Not as good as I thought. first time I tried the hot pilly cheese steak and it was skimpy not proportional inside & just didn't taste good butttt I got a free cookie. Best sandwiches ever! Staff is great!! Always very nice! Sandwiches are loaded with meats and built to perfection!

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE... the SERVICE IS HORRIBLE and the STAFF ARE RUDE! Went to Jersey Mike's at around 6:30 p.m. and was told that they were out of bread. Jayla was very dismissive and her customer service was subpar at best. Jayla proceeded to stare at a receipt and did not even have the decency to provide how long it would take until they would have bread again or if there was some sort of malfunction that attributed to the issue of not having bread to make sandwiches. Jayla was distracted looking at a receipt and was too preoccupied to provide proper customer service and set the proper expectation of how long the wait would be. Note I was the ONLY a customer in the store at this time. I, THE CUSTOMER had to ask how long the anticipated wait for more bread would be, in a very condescending and rude tone the clerk replied the bread is in the oven, to which I replied how long will it be before you have bread available. The clerk proceeded to say, "well the bread is cooling off in the oven so it will be about 25 minutes." I set a timer for 25 minutes and proceeded to go to a few stores in the same vicinity. After 25 minutes I returned to Jersey Mike's, the clerk who helped me was in the back with her other female colleague and proceeded to chuckle and laugh in the back while me and 2 other customers waited for them to come out from the back. After about 2 minutes, the clerk comes out and advises me with a straight face, "WE RAN OUT OF BREAD AGAIN. WE made 2 trays but it is gone again." The fact that the clerk did not set proper expectations, had me waiting and when I returned still did not have bread after advising me that they would in 25 minutes. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and very Disappointing. I have never been met with such incompetence. Save the headache go to Jimmy John's in the Downey Landing instead! HORRIBLE SERVICE and INEPT STAFF!!!! read more

Placed an online order and when I arrived i still had to wait as my order was not ready (that's fine) customers came in and were advised the store was out of bread and only had enough to complete online order...which I was like cool I don't have to wait. When I arrived home I opened my sandwich to find my order was wrong and got the incorrect bread that i ordered. Sounds like I am composing! But I am just stating that they cannot give customers what they didn't order and by the way how can you be out of the key component of what your business is know for???
