We came Monday AND Tuesday we loved it so much!! The sandwich was fresh and spectacular!! We were so impressed with the bread, meat and produce...it was such a terrific combo!! The bread was fresh and delicious, we got turkey and it was not salty, we got the works (a pickled pepper and oil combo) just delish! Lettuce, tomato and avocado spread! A small was big enough for us to share! They do their sandwiches to order but are super quick...one on the register and one making sandwiches! Such a cute place with all the fun signs! I just discovered this place, been here twice this week! It tasted really good and really fresh! When you walk in the smell of fresh bread punches you in the nose! Such a beautiful smell! Friendly employees too! Plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall I ordered the turkey tom which is a turkey and tomato sub with all my toppings of choice on the best bread you will have ever tasted!! I ordered extra turkey for a couple dollars more and I found it to be worth it! I went here for the first time and was shocked at how good it was! I got the Vito (#5) and I highly recommend it. The veggies and meats taste fresh. The bread was good too! Good spot for a quick tasty sandwich. Used to love coming here for the Frenchie but after they got rid of it I've stopped coming to this chain as often. They are quick but not as consistent or tasty as Jersey Mike's so I usually opt for that instead when I'm craving an Italian Sub. My go to here is the Spicy East Coast Italian. This location is our of my way from work and home, but it's the only Jimmy John near me. Yesterday I went to this location right after work. I got there at 4:30pm and the doors were lock. I could see employees working & I knock. They signed that they were closed. Very frustrating when I was looking forward to a sub and drove very far for nothing!!! Pretty bummed to have to give a 3 star to one of my favorite sandwich stops but the service is getting out of hand. I use the app because it's contactless, zero wait time, fast, easy, and convenient for my tight schedule. I ordered a sandwich today through the app like usual so by the time I got to the shop my sandwich would be ready. I roll up and stand outside (since I can see the shelf they put phone orders on from outside) and I see no food. I think okay they're probably a little behind... keep in mind this is already 10 minutes after I placed the order. I stand outside about another 5 minutes until I finally decide to go in and ask for my order since they are now cutting too much into my limited break time. I ask one of the 6 kids behind the counter and one of the girls unnecessarily & rudely tells me that "I need to tell them" when I am picking up an order. I don't know what she needed me to tell them? I placed the order through the phone, got a notification that they received my order, so what exactly was I supposed to tell them? The whole phone app process is to eliminate the need to interact with anyone and just get my food & go. Based on the amount of people there while I was waiting, it didn't take a genius to guess that they placed my order behind everyone else's, even though they had barely placed theirs (in store) and I placed mine 20 minutes ago and still had to wait for my order. Instead of saying "sorry, we messed up and took care of other orders before yours" the young lady made it seem like it was my fault? Wasted most of my lunch hour since it took 10 minutes to get there+20 extra minutes to get my order. Really inconvenient. Every other time I used the app, I had no issue. Same story, I order about 10 minutes ahead since that's how long the drive is, then I pick up my sandwich that's sitting on the Pre-orders Shelf and go on my merry way. I've never had to "inform" someone of my arrival or whatever it was the woman wanted me to tell her. Zero idea what she meant. All I know is my time was unnecessarily wasted. I understand it was a lunch hour and they got busy, however, my order should not have been pushed to the side and should have been completed first since that's the point of phone orders. Management, get your employees in check because ordering a sandwich shouldn't be this much of a hassle and I shouldn't have to tell people what to do. It's not that hard to make sandwiches nor is it a difficult concept to make them in the order they are placed. Craving a sandwich and since not much is open decided to head to Jimmy john's. I had jaw surgery a few months back so still hard to eat. Thought a sandwich would be perfect.. ordered the tuna. Definitely not how I've had a tuna sandwich. I'm used to tuna being mixed with mayo and celery. Not this one. It's just tuna on the bread, which by the way was so hard on the bottom I couldn't eat it. Anyways, it's plain tuna, some mayo on bread, lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes. I had this for lunch today and it was delicious as always the staff are always welcoming and friendly and when ever in doubt of what else to try they give good suggestions. Since I'm on Weight Watchers and being very selective with healthy choices I ordered the "Uniwich" Lettuce Turkey Wrap. It was very fresh - turkey and veggies but just a little tasteless. But hey it was healthy and not their fault I can't eat the "really good gooey cheesey sandwiches" so I give them 4 stars. I loved the ambience with all the quotes and very positive vibe. I tried Rubio's a day earlier during lunch time. So, I returned to Downey Landing to try out the next door neighbor, Jimmy John's. A couple of months earlier, we had their sandwich's during a lunch meeting. I kind of liked their # 2 Medium Roast Beef sandwich. This also played a factor into the lunch restaurant selection. I walked in, was welcomed, and ordered a # 13 Veggie Club. As soon as I placed my order, the lady who took my order yelled my order out and a gentleman began preparing my sandwich. I was amazed at how fast the gentleman behind the counter prepared my sandwich. I did not even have time to look around at the restaurant. *Laughs*. The whole process was complete in under 30 seconds. The sandwich was refreshing. It maybe had a tad bit too much mayo. But, for a vegetarian sandwich, it packaged a big punch. Since I liked my # 13 Veggie club experience, during a recent training at my work place, I recommended grabbing some sandwiches from Jimmy John's. I took everyone's order, drove here and gave the same lady at the counter my order (Jennifer?). It took the fine employees at Jimmy Johns, a grand total of 3 minutes to prepare 9 sandwiches. One of the sandwiches, their # 9 Italian with light mayo, was for myself. As with the other sandwiches, the portion size on their giant is just adequate for me. I do not think their 8" or Slim will be enough for me. I definitely recommend their sandwich with light mayo. Sandwiches feel healthy, and the breakneck speed with which they prepare sandwiches will be a huge time saver during your lunch break. read more

This place is a hit or miss. It's right by my place so I come here often. Depending who's working, your order will not be made "freaky fast". Just today I was the only person there and 10 minutes go by 12 minutes go by and after 15 minutes the dude at the counter tells me oh "I'm sorry, sir didn't see you" guy looked at me about 5 times prior lol I just got home and the jalapeño ranch clearly says use by 4/17 today is the 19th. Hours of operation say that this location closes at 10 pm. We showed up at 9:35 pm and they had their doors locked, then waived us off and yelled that they were closed. This is disappointing and unprofessional considering a customer making the drive at a time when most places are preparing to close. A possible solution to prevent tricking customers may be to close the store however many minutes it takes to prepare closing procedures. Had we seen that this location closed at 9:30 pm, as opposed to 10 pm, we could have decided to leave earlier or choose somewhere else to eat. read more

Caution when eating here - there's a male with long hair making sandwiches and his hair was found in my sandwich . All the females with long hair have their hair pulled back in a ponytail.
