The Chicken Fingers are too small , compared too the ones in Canes in the city of Gardena.

It also came with some warm corn tortillas as well as some fresh and spicy salsa. They also gifted 2 cans of orange Fanta. This meal turned into 4 amazing meals for us...and the chicken tasted even better the next day. This is a family business with two locations - we went to the one on Rosecrans (the other is nearby on Long Beach Blvd). Upon parking in their lot, we could see the smoke from their grill... we knew this was gonna be good! There are a few tables inside but we noticed that most take it "to go". We stood in line and then we were promptly helped by their efficient staff. In addition to chicken, there are also fish and beef items. There is also macaroni and potato salad for salad choices. Next time I wanna try the potato salad. We took our order home and thoroughly enjoyed the taste and quality of their grilled chicken. Although it is similar to El Pollo Loco, it is somehow different...it's weird but I can't explain it. As we left the restaurant with our very full bag of items, we noticed that the line grew and was snaking out the door. Definitely a testament to this great neighborhood gem!

I would recommend calling in the order ahead of time because it takes about 20 minutes. Its a hole in the wall but dont let that discourage you from trying them out. Serving up Louisiana style fried chicken in the LA area, Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken has over…read more100 locations throughout the US, though none in Louisiana itself. Our group of four had a chance to stop by for an early dine-in dinner, and found the chicken to well prepared and tasty. Originally founded in 1976 in Los Angeles by a enterprising franchisee who wanted to create his own fast food brand, Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken soon became very popular with LA residents. As sometimes happens with immigrant communities by word of mouth and 'paying it forward', the burgeoning Cambodians began to be the majority owners of franchisees, until it resulted in the brand being sold to a Cambodian in 2009. Considering the largest concentration of Cambodians outside of Cambodia is in Long Beach, California, I wanted to try this particular location. They also sell donuts here, and my credit card bill actually listed the donut shop as the vendor...this for me is not a selling point, but was not noticeable during our visit. It's a walk-up set-up, where you order/pay for your food through security windows. We ordered a 12-piece family combo for $35.45, which included 3 pieces of breast/thigh/wing/leg, 2 small orders of fries, a coleslaw and 6 rolls. They also sell fried catfish and shrimp, so got a 4 pc shrimp ($3.85). They only sell drinks by cans or bottles, so got 4 cans of Coke/Pepsi/Squirt. It is clearly stated that each order is fried fresh, taking about 20 minutes. Our order was ready in 15 minutes, and we decided to dine-in (a small makeshift outdoor dining area with temporary tables was set-up). The chicken was well brined and had been fried well (leaving plenty of space between the chicken), with the outer coat being crunchy with a little bit of spice. For me it tasted very similar to the popular national chain, but with more consistency. The 'small' fries were not that at all, but very large...with one being enough to feed the four of us. The fries looked underdone, but were not. There were no condiments available, so the saving grace was the thin hot sauce that you could dip your fries and chicken into. The rolls were forgettable, and the coleslaw was grocery store quality (which I actually like). In fact, the chicken and sides reminded me of what you could get at a grocery store deli, except always getting the chicken fresh, instead of ones that have been fried too many to a basket and sitting too long under a heat lamp. Freshness definitely matters here. There was plenty of food for the 4 of us, with us taking half of the meal home. It reheated very well, providing us a good lunch the following day.

Each time we passed by, it seemed like they were closed and or never answered their phone when we called to see if they were open. We kept telling each other one day we're going to stop by and see if they actually are open. So on Friday after exiting the freeway I made my way to Jim Dandy and saw folks going in and coming out. This location is in the middle of the hood. They have bulletproof windows once inside and this location is order and pickup, no dining available. I didn't see the menu until I was done with ordering. Which made it hard for myself. I seen the menu after I ordered. I walked out with 12 pieces of chicken regular not spicy. Corn fritters, macaroni salad, peach cobbler and a banana pudding. Once home we set up our table and began to devour our food. We were blown away with the chicken it is better than most places we have been to not saying any names. The pieces of chicken were huge fresh and crispy. The macaroni salad was just right amount of mayo and seasoning. The peach cobbler was wrapped perfectly not damaging the crust. The banana pudding was a little watery not sure if that was due to the heat going on in the bag as everything was bagged together. I immediately put it in refrigerator so it could get cold and become solid than running. I have no idea what there hours are next time I go in I'll ask or look for signs. There is plenty parking not that folks stay long. Food seems to come out in a timely manner. So parking comes and goes. I cannot wait to try there dirty rice and corn fritters without the powder sugar. I didn't get a photo of them as they got devoured.

What a great find. It's a counter-order, takeout-style spot, which was no problem at all. The service was solid. The guy who took my order also handled putting everything together, and you can tell when someone's on it--nothing was missing and everything came out right. I ordered a 3-piece, and it definitely hit the spot. The chicken was flavorful and satisfying, and the onion rings were just as good--crispy and delicious. I got there a little late, and it felt like a true local spot. Everyone was relaxed, just there for some really good fried chicken. No hype--just good food.

Since this is located in a food court in a grocery store; the atmosphere is pretty relaxed and casual. The menu has definitely expanded these past few years, but you can't go wrong with the boneless thighs. I'm unfortunately a little out of the way, but that just means treating myself to a box of 8-12 pieces on the rare occasions I am in the area. This is the kind of fried chicken that's great all on its own. Perfectly ASMR-worthy crunch, simple seasoning, fried with care & fresh batches of oil, insanely juicy and tender with each bite. Even if you get your food to go, the way your order is packaged ensures the chicken stays a crunchy for a hot min. Enjoy the chicken fresh, but be careful to not burn your tongue lol If you do pay a little extra for sauce, my personal recommendations are the spicy mayo and yuzu aioli. There are a few other sauce options I can't quite recall, but ask any of the employees. In my experience, they're all friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Looking forward to my next visit :)

I have door dashed it now my 3rd time and the flavor and consistency deserves a post and kudos! The spicy smash burger was first w fries (didnt see that coming..delish it was!) fresh cut fries I dont play, im a fry snob.. like frozen fries, they are not cold and ready for the trash when they get here.. second time tenders w cali heat/lemon mix.. i will admit I take the heat in all forms but someone went super hard in the paint that day w the heat and i had to eat it in doses and thank god i had the spicy ranch to cool it down.. so this IS a warning if u cant handle heat! so today tenders again only tossed in lemon pepper-heat on the side which they sent the seasoning and not the sauce that I wanted but i was probably better w/o it lol spicy ranch to the rescue again! lets get into it.. im born n raised in LA.. I dont think ive had chicken tenders this good.. the quality of chicken/ size of tenders and batter is not old dirty grease.. its crispy seasoned skin but the inside is cooked well still juicy but not undercooked or dry and overcooked.. I enjoyed it so much today..i had to say something AND the food is still hot when delivered that means it went fryer to box and on its way! For never visiting this place and getting hot delish food consistently delivered.. Im a fan! Keep up the great food Fyrebird we're depending on you for longevity in this chicken game.. and try it if you appreciate GOOD fast food (there is a such thing).. enjoy!

The fries on their own were very good. They were made from fresh potatoes, well seasoned, and thin cut. I liked that there was a mix of crispy fries and some softer ones, which actually worked really well. The buffalo flava fries were excellent. The buffalo sauce had a nice balance of heat and tang, and the ranch tasted homemade and was very flavorful. The chicken on top of the fries was extremely crispy, and they were generous with both sauces so almost every fry was coated. The garlic parmesan wings had good seasoning, but the wings themselves were a bit fatty. They had a lot of meat, but the skin reminded me more of Korean fried chicken rather than a classic wing. They were still enjoyable, especially dipped in the ranch and buffalo sauce. The wings were well coated and flavorful, although I have had better wings elsewhere. That said, the buffalo fries, sauces, and ranch were so good that I would definitely return. The inside space is small, so it is more of a takeout spot. Service was friendly and efficient, and we only waited about ten minutes for our food. I would definitely come back and try another flavor.
