So I had to come back and give this place a 2nd try to see if they were really in fact that good and they were! This time I got a 3 tender meal (level hot) with all coleslaw and I paid for 2 extra sides of pickles. When I tell you these tenders were juicy, that's exactly what they were, juicy! It had a nice level of heat but next time I'm going Atomic because I was sharing with the business I could actually go spicier but that's all preference and everyone has a different heat tolerance. I loved the coleslaw. It was creamy, crunch, and not too sweet. For me, the pickles tie it all together. You get a little sweet, a little heat, a little savory, a little tangy all in one bite. Oh and not to mention, because those Cajun wings were so bomb, I ordered a 50 piece wing to take home to the family w/ of course Cajun. I'm trying their Spicy Lemon Pepper, and the Mango Habanero (milder than most I've had). This time I dined in and I love the ambiance. I love the art decor all of the walls with the messaging. I love the "Trust in God" over the opening of their kitchen. I enjoyed the music playing in the background but too loud to hear someone talking. What a great experience with food, customer service, and ambiance. I'll keep my 5 star rating for them! Come try them out. They have daily specials making it affordable to eat out... I love that! read more

Okay- YUM ! Got their secret menu Mac n cheese and chicken on fries - sooooo good. Basically the best of all worlds. I didn't just want Mac, or just chicken, or just fries- give it to me all together! I think they should straight up put it on their menu because it's that good. The drive thru can take awhile but they are making it fresh - I also normally like a fatter fry but these were special in their own way... go try them and find out what I mean Also could be kinda awkward in the drive thru if you don't have a passenger (drive thru window on the right) but I'm sure they figure it out! Staff seemed nice, and looked like a nice place on the inside too. read more

Richie's Chicken: The #3 Combo... and the #3 Experience A friend recommended Richie's Chicken, so I figured, "Okay, let's see what the hype is about." Since it was my first time, I went with the popular #3 -- sandwich and fries. When in doubt, follow the menu, right? I got in line and there were 4 cars ahead of me. No big deal... until 20 minutes later, I finally got my food. At this point, I wasn't just hungry--I was entering survival mode. I grabbed a few fries while driving home and... SOGGY. Those fries had apparently given up on life before I even got there. Finally arrived home, unwrapped the sandwich, took a bite and... "That's it?" Nothing terrible, but honestly, nothing that made me say, "OMG, I need to tell everybody about this place!" Maybe I was just really, really hungry, because hunger definitely helped the sandwich taste better than it probably deserved. So, Richie's Chicken, I'm giving you 3 stars . Not bad. Not amazing. Not worth a 20-minute wait for four cars. Maybe I need to try something else on the menu... or maybe I just need to arrive less hungry next time. read more

Ok, just to clarify, I ordered more than what I usually eat because on the other photos of reviews I didn't think the wings were large in size.. THESE WINGS ARE HUGEEEEEEEE the 6 piece would definitely get me FULLLL and I doubt I would even be able to finish those. Sauced beautifully and I don't even know how many fries are on the bottom under the foil but the box is HEAVY AND HOT! Drive thru is so convenient for a location like this. I highly recommend! Half Mango Habanero and Half Sweet Thai Chili . read more

Second time trying this place. The first time, the food was just okay and didn't have much seasoning, but we decided to give them another shot. Unfortunately, this visit wasn't any better. We ordered the #5 with the 3-piece tenders, fries, and a 12-piece nugget. We asked if we could make the nuggets a combo and were told no. Then we asked if we could add lemon pepper seasoning to the nuggets and again were told no. However, it could be done for the kids meal? That didn't make any sense to me. We also didn't want the Richie's sauce and asked for barbecue sauce instead, only to be told it was 50 cents extra for each sauce. Charging sauce for nuggets is wild to me! Not everyone wants your house sauce! In the end, every question we asked was met with "no." Similar to the first visit, the food was bland even after asking for extra seasoning. I'm not sure what seasoning blend they use, but you can barely taste it. Between the bland food, poor service experience, and extra charges for condiments for nuggets, this place is a hard NO for me returning. read more

Great customer service. I try to go back every other day and I give this place 10 out of 10 food it fire and top grade

Richie's Hot Chicken is a new addition to central Bellflower and offers a hot chicken in tenders or wings along with classic sides like Mac n Cheese or Fries. Compared the competition, it is honestly sits somewhere in the middle of the pack. The flavor is straight cayenne with a flat taste but ok kick. In addition to this, the oil needs to be cleaned out more often as it made the fries sub-par. This place gets busy on their "Tender Tuesday" or "Wing Wednesday" but honestly if you are aiming to order fries its better to just purchase the combo. The tenders are a decent deal however. The saving grace here were the wings, they have multiple flavors and they were solid. The wings were a great size and cooked just right. read more

Ngl those tater tots are crazy tastes just like a has brown only mini bite sized and they go great with any sauce chicken smacks like always

Food took forever, portion size small, and part of the chicken seemed uncooked. When asking for assistance, lady doesn't seem to care and focuses on other things. Also went to the bathroom and found a cockroach. If cockroach is found in the public area, I can't imagine what is happening in close doors. 0/10 experience. Will never show up again. read more

I walked in, greeted by every staff member immediately. All I saw were smiles. I proceeded into the clean, hip, and clean establishment. Yeraldin, greeted me with eloquence made a recommendation without me having to ask (first time here), and I had to order the mouth watering number 3 she recommended. (Thanks ;) yeraldin). The food... ooo the food made my mouth salivate from the smell.. the taste was heavenly. Thank you Richie's hot chicken. I truly appreciated my experience here read more

I often visit this place, and it's unfortunate that what began as amazing food has turned into a disappointment. The meals used to arrive hot and fresh, and I never minded the wait because they were so tasty. I used to really enjoy the lemon pepper wings since they were wet, but the last few times I've gotten them, they've been dry and flavorless. Maybe they were always meant to be dry. The quality of the food has become hit or miss. Tonight was the final time my wife and I will come to this spot. It's a shame because they started off really well. read more

We tried the Munchies Box ($13) and it was honestly a great deal for the amount of food you get. The box comes packed with a variety of items, and everything we tried was flavorful and satisfying. The chicken was crispy, well seasoned, and clearly freshly made, the fries were hot and fresh, and the cheese covered tots were the perfect comfort food side. The sauces paired really well with everything too. Another thing that really stood out was the customer service. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made the experience even better. The restaurant was very clean too. What impressed us the most was the portion size. For only $13, the Munchies Box comes with a lot of food definitely enough to share or take some home for later. Overall, great flavor, fresh food, generous portions, excellent customer service, and very fair pricing. If you're hungry and want something satisfying without spending a lot, the Munchies Box is definitely worth trying. We'll definitely come back! read more

Had always wanted to try this place. Went last night and food was good. Got the chicken sandwich with fries. Little pricey but totally worth it. What made my experience worth making a review was the cashier at the drive-thru window. Xaiver was pleasant, courteous, and a prime example of how customer service should be. I had worked in the service industry for 20 years and Xaiver has reignited the hope for the future. We only chatted for 5 minutes but his customer service skills stood out from all of my recent fast-food interactions. Keep up the good work, Xaiver! read more

Stopped by this new chicken spot and it blew me away. Easily the best hot chicken around. The staff was on point, super friendly. Christian music was playing in the background, and the walls had uplifting faith-based themes that gave the place a warm, positive vibe. I ordered the #5 three-piece tenders with fries and toast, plus an 18-piece wing order and a Fruity Pebble shake to share with a friend. The quality of both the tenders and wings seriously impressed me--great flavor, great portions. I left full and happy. If you're in Bellflower, this place is a must-try. And even if you're not, it's worth the drive. I'm from Whittier and I'll definitely be back. read more

Placed an online order for an 18-piece combo. I understand they were busy, but my order was missing all of the ranch and the fries that were supposed to come with the combo. I had to go back inside and ask for them, which meant waiting even longer. The excuse I was given was that "no one orders combos on Wednesdays." This was only my second visit, but it is frustrating and inconvenient to have to double-check everything before leaving. I hope they can improve their order accuracy. read more

This place is awesome! We ordered honey barbecue bone-in wings, lemon pepper bone-in wings, mac and cheese and tots. All of it was absolutely delicious. The wings are meaty and seasoned perfectly. The mac and cheese is cheesy and creamy, and not bland like some other places. The tots were crispy and delicious. They have excellent customer service and the place is super clean. Prices were right. Next time, I'm going to try a sandwich. I highly recommend Richie's. read more

Portions are huge and the prices are great. You really get a lot of food for your money. I had the teriyaki wings and Combo #1 (mild) -- not pictured because I ate it way too fast . The seasoned fries were loaded, and the extra Richie's secret sauce made everything even better. I also tried the Fruity Pebble shake and it was really good. The atmosphere is on point. The place is clean, the handmade art on the walls is beautiful, and there are great photo ops all around the restaurant. Even the sound system stands out -- everything feels fresh and well-thought-out. The staff was super friendly, patient, and helpful. I'm excited to come back and try more items. Richie's Chicken is Amazing Flavor and serving is plenty to satisfy you. My Son's favorite was Canes until we tried Richie's Chicken

I came on a Tuesday for $2 tenders. I Was pleasantly surprised there was a drive-through and no line. Wanted to order lemon pepper flavor, but apparently that doesn't count for the deal. I ordered two biscuits with my food and was told it would take 15 minutes, which ended up taking 30 minutes. i waited at the window so long people behind me started driving away. Not sure why they wouldn't just have me parked to the side. Let's get to the food. Tenders are huge and for the price you can't beat that. But they were just ok, nothing special they had a distinct taste, not too sure if it was the seasoning, but I wasn't really a fan. wasn't bad though. The biscuits I waited for were a joke not too sure why it took so long but it just looks like two tops of biscuits and they forgot the bottom. It didn't even look appealing. I didn't even try it so can't tell you how they were. Overall it was solid. I probably wouldn't go back just wasn't for me, but it wasn't bad. Give it a try. read more

Looking up chicken and waffles requested by one of my kids. Didn't feel like paying over $20 ata restaurant for that. So found one of the chicken fast food chains sells it and we landed here at Richies, thanks to Yelp. My kid was so happy that now she wants this Golden Hug meal to be for after school practice dinner. Anyway, onto the place. Easy to find. On the corner of alondra and eucalyptus. Enter the back way for parking and drive thru. Entering we weren't really greeted. But I guess they were busy taking in phone orders. Lucky there was a tablet to order from. what did we get....Chicken and waffles aka Golden Hug, the two tender with fries and drink, and chicken and french toast with added egg aka Sweet Heat. The chicken & waffles were amazing according to my kid. French toast with chicken was actually really good. I had it medium spice but illkick it up a notch next time. The fries and tater tots lacked coz of no salt. But it's ok can always ask for some. Quality and quantity, ftw!!!! Place is clean. Plenty of tables. Restroom located in the back. Lack one star coz not greeting and no salt. Otherwise, we shall be back. read more

I came her with my wife and kids, my sons like the wings and fries, my little one didn't really like the fries considering that they put a chili powder over his kids meal fries. I would think that if it's a kids meal, they would not put a chili type powder on the fries. The wings were pretty good and the sauces were good too! It would've been better that if the refills were a self serve option rather than having to get up and ask them for a refill, I felt like I was bothering them each time I asked because they were busy. The ketchup bottles were empty and the napkins were so thin you would have to get another one each time you needed to wipe your hand. They also have daily specials and I love the fact that they have them because not that many locations like this offer them. The restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly. They do have a drive thru and a good amount of parking. The interior is nicely decorated. I would go back, I would like to try their shakes next time. read more

Where do I even start? Is what I asked myself when I first received my food. The portions are MASSIVE! The chicken sandwiches are huge and to add to that theres a mountain of fries that come with it. The quality of the chicken and the spices used are high!!! All I need is one of these meals and the cocoa rice crispy milkshake and i'm set for the entire day. Not only is the food worth 5 stars, but the staff is amazing as well. Everyone is super friendly and are quick to give support. They keep the place clean. The overall energy of of the environment is welcoming and positive. I recommend that everyone goes to Richies....at least once a week! It's that good!! read more

My friend brought me the Chicken sandwich with fries. The flavor was delightful. The cole slaw & secret sauce made it stand out from other hot chicken sandwiches. The crinkle fries with their special seasoning made them just as great. This spot is right in my neighborhood and it's definitely a favorite for my kids. The krinkled fries are hands down the best; I really think they use Old Bay seasoning on them lol. They're so flavorful and always hit. I've learned the best time to go is during the daytime right after they open. The food just tastes fresher and more on point. All of the wings I've tried have been tasty, but I don't recommend the lemon pepper of any sort. They have two different lemon pepper options, and both were very salty in my opinion. Everything else has been really good though. The mac and cheese wasn't my favorite, but honestly, a lot of restaurants struggle to get mac and cheese right. My kids LOVE the shakes -- they have a great variety, and that's always a win. I haven't tried their breakfast yet, but maybe one day! read more
