If you're craving a great smash burger, Storm Burger is definitely worth checking out! The burger was cooked perfectly, with those delicious crispy edges that make a smash burger so good. It's huge, juicy, and incredibly messy--in the best possible way. Once you pick it up, there's no putting it down! I finally learned my lesson and used a fork & knife to enjoy every bite. The fries deserve a shout-out too. They're extra crispy and come in either regular or Cajun seasoning. I went with the Cajun fries, and they were absolutely delicious with just the right amount of seasoning. If you're looking for a flavorful, satisfying burger and crispy fries, Storm Burger delivers. I'll definitely be back!

I enjoy the food here but I wouldn't come back because of the wait. The parking lot is very annoying and they have a lot of staff but they really need to improve their system. Their security guard was handling the line and he made me backup into oncoming traffic? Their burgers have a great flavor and I love how kragglely the fries are. The chicken tenders are flattened cutlets that are crispy and also flavorful.

I decided to give Storm Burger a second chance, hoping my experience would be better this time. The drive-thru line wasn't very long, and the employee who took my order was incredibly sweet. She provided the menu without assuming I knew. However, the drive-thru setup is confusing. There are two lanes that eventually merge into one, which I understand is meant to keep the line from backing up into the street. The problem is that there's no employee directing traffic or alternating cars when the lanes merge. As a result, drivers become frustrated because no one wants to let the other lane merge. Even though there were only about five cars ahead of me, I waited approximately 20 minutes without the line moving. I asked another employee what was causing the delay, and she said they were understaffed. I understand staffing challenges happen, but I also noticed three employees standing outside after one of the drive-thru lanes had been closed. If the kitchen was short-staffed, it seemed like those employees could have been helping inside instead of standing around. Since I had only ordered one sandwich, I politely asked if, once it was ready, someone could bring it out to me instead of letting it sit while I waited for the cars ahead. I explained that I didn't want to get home with a cold sandwich. The employee assured me she would do that. She was nice about it. Eventually, after all but one car ahead of me had left, she finally brought out my sandwich. Unfortunately, I live only one stoplight away, and by the time I got home, the sandwich was already cold. To make matters worse, the Storm Sauce I paid extra for wasn't even in the bag. I tried calling the restaurant, but there's no way to speak to a live person or leave a voicemail. The recording instructs customers to send an email instead, so I did. I waited several days but never received a response. In the end, I threw the sandwich away. There wasn't much point in trying to reheat a cold sandwich, especially without the sauce I had paid for. I'm disappointed because I really wanted to like Storm Burger. Unfortunately, the operational issues, long wait, cold food, missing item, and lack of customer follow-up left me turned off from giving it another try. It's still a fairly new establishment, so I hope they work through these issues.

Stormburger definitely took me by storm and when I went last week it was packed during lunch! Didn't realize it was mostly a concept for takeout because of the drive-thru but enjoyed my food standing up at their little standing area to eat. Their drive-thru had two lanes looking like Chick-fil A out here. Ordered at their window and parked in a parking lot for their customers. It's very limited but did the job. When ordering, I was practically shouting because the music was really really loud but other than that the food was solid. The bun with the sauce compliment the smashburgers well and the fries were almost like beer battered fries. I got the combo with strawberry lemonade too which tasted super fresh and not too sugary. Would definitely come back if I was in the area.

We have been seeing this spot everytime we drive around Cherry area so we decided to finally give it a try. The line gets pretty long so it def gets you intrigued. We ordered their bbq cheese burger and a regular burger. Hubs and I def enjoyed their fries. I wish I tried more of their side sauces because they had a bunch. The kids enjoyed their fries too. I thought their burgers were a bit salty but it was still not bad. I don't know if it's worth the line people wait on but it's def not bad. Go give it a try!

Went here hopefully it would be very good. It was ok, acceptable but not great. I got the classic and husband for the jalapeño one. Classic was pretty dry, the meat was just not enjoyable because it was so dry. The jalapeño one wasn't as dry though and his was better than mine. Fries and onion rings tasted like they were made a while ago and sitting in a heater, they weren't fresh. Given it's a good price I would give it another shot and not order the classic again.

I came on a weekday hoping to get some fast food for dinner but it became more of a long detour. It took about an hour from arrival to receiving my food. It seemed that there needs to be improvement in time efficiency. The drive through line was being manned by 4-5 people and in the pickup area there was 3 people. I'm not sure how many people they have cooking, but it was very laid back. Honestly, I wanted to not like Stormburgers food, but dang.. this place hits. Not only are the burgers solid (tried the Jalepeno Lightning) but the fries and onion rings are fried to perfection. I probably won't be coming here after a long shift, but for sure would have this again (if I can avoid a line.)

I've been to this location twice; once when they first opened and again recently. The first time, we waited in the drive-thru line for an hour. The parking lot is fairly small, so although it looked like there were a lot of people, it really wasn't that busy. When we finally got to the pickup window, the worker handed us our food with her back turned, which was very rude. I also realized afterward that another worker was giving out coupons for free food, but we didn't receive one. During my recent visit, the line had died down, and we got our food within five minutes. I mentioned that during their grand opening week I had waited an hour and didn't receive a coupon. The worker said, "Oh, let me get you one; please drive forward." Then another worker approached us and said they didn't have any more, and rudely asked if we had everything we needed in our order. Again, no apology. Just another rude interaction. Both times, I ordered the BBQ bacon cheeseburger, and I really enjoyed it. The bun is soft, the fried onions are crispy, and you can taste the bacon in every bite. The patty is flavorful, but on the drier side, which some people may not like, but I personally do. The onion rings are also good, but $4.99 for a small serving (about seven pieces) is overpriced. The fries are good as well, lightly seasoned and crispy. Overall, the food is good, but the customer service definitely needs improvement.

So, my family lives around the corner and they have been waiting for the hype to go down so I coaxed my sis to walk up there. It was a wait, but not bad. The wait is horrible. I thought the long lines were because the food was great but that was not my experience. I visited for the first time a few weeks ago and arrived when there were only 3 cars ahead of me - SWEET! Not so much! I was in my car in the drive-thru for almost 25 minutes!! I would have left, but they have you pay at time of placing your order, so you're stuck waiting. It's like they hold your food hostage because you already paid. Keep driving by and don't be fooled by the long lines - it's because the service is slow. read more

Disappointed.. after seeing long lines and seeing great reviews had to try it fior ourselves.. I ordered the halo peno burger but got no halo penos. My wife ordered a classic burger no cheese but got cheese. The music was loud while ordering and annoying. We were asked about 3-4 times what was the name on the order.. Top it off we paid $33.00 for 2 hamburger combos.. plus the fries were too salty.. Safe to say we wont be coming back read more

Went today or I should say Friday night "yesterday", around 7:30pm. The place was packed, cars around the corner. HOWEVER, they had things moving and shaking, secuirty did their thing. Waited like 20-25 mins in line and with all the last minute Friday night chaos going on. The customer service was top tier, Ricky took our order and was patient, friendly and did a wonderful job taking our order, because we were so indecisive with out order. The order was correct down to the sauces and the other teamt/staff were amazing. Last but not least the burgers were good and taster fresh and loved the onion rings... So I came by with my grandkids and my son and tried StormBurger. Let me tell you I was highly impressed with them. Oh my gosh, the bacon barbecue burger for me was my fave love the way that barbecue sauce in those onion strings were in there.Mmm. My son enjoys more of the spicy stuff so he ended up having the jalapeño one. He said it was good. He gobbled that down so quick lol. And my grandsons they have the chicken tenders. I mean, every kid loves chicken tenders and their fries you gotta get the sauce on the side they've got different varieties so we decided to try each one of them since they were enough of us. And the thing that I love the best being a mom in a budget it's definitely something affordable and absolutely delicious. So needless to say me and my babies had a great time stopping at storm burger. So do yourself a favor and head on down there promise you you'll love it. read more

Service is great! Food is trash at this location. First you get charged extra for ranch or secret sauce. The secret sauce is nothing but thousand island dressing and ketchup. Inconsistent. I've been to storm burger 3 different times. 1st time i got the jalapeño lightning burger. the burger was super messy and grilled onions were cold. 2nd time i got the classic cheese burger. it was great and tasted fresh. 3rd time i got the bacon BBQ burger and the burger was not fresh. Although the customer service was good, I was charged for multiple items without being informed of any upcharges. Basic condiments and toppings were billed without the server mentioning additional costs, and I was not given an itemized receipt showing a clear total to review the charges. Seeing my total reach nearly $30 felt misleading and dishonest. The lack of a contact phone number to reach the establishment, only added to the frustration. Stars are allocated for the great customer service I received from employee at the front who took my order. I came here for the first time yesterday after hearing great things about the food and I was excited to try it myself, so I came and ordered the classic StormBurger combo the chicken strips, onion rings and fries, and I must say I only had the burger, onion rings and some fries, but from the taste of everything, it was delicious. However, when I was eating my food and bit into my burger there was something hard that I had swallowed that was cutting my throat and choking me... I just assumed it was the outer layer of the onion rings that they may be fried by accident so I just set it to the side to see later since there was food on it and I put the burger away and didn't touch any more of the food after looking at it today, I've discovered they are wood chips. I'm not sure what they use wood chips for maybe they smoke the meat or something, but it should not go in the food at all. The food is great but almost choking for it does not make it worth it. I hope this situation can be fixed and resolved because as a first time customer, I'm not satisfied with the overall experience. read more

Storm Burger is seriously one of my new favorite spots. The food is amazing every time I go, and the BBQ bacon burger was especially good super flavorful, juicy, and cooked just right. You can tell they don't cut corners with the quality. I also tried the peach lemonade, and it was perfect refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. On top of that, the customer service really stands out. JESS was incredible she had great energy, was super friendly, and made the whole experience even better. She actually takes the time to talk to you and makes you feel welcome, which is rare. Honestly, between the food and the service, it's a place I keep coming back to. read more

When I fold the pizza in half it made that sweet crunchy sound that only real pizza lovers know. The taste was delicious, good blend of pepperoni, mushroom and cheese. Had the Bacon BBQ Cheeseburger and also tried the Deluxe Chicken Sandwich. The Bacon BBQ Cheeseburger is a smashed burger, and while mine was a little dry, I'm not going to pretend it didn't still have a ton of flavor. The BBQ sauce came through, the bacon was solid, and the fried onions were doing their job -- but let's be honest, it did not look nearly as stacked with onion strings as the pictures made it seem. I wanted all that grease. The Deluxe Chicken Sandwich was solid, too. The chicken itself was also a little dry, but the rest of the sandwich carried it. The coleslaw had a nice crunch, added some freshness, and kept it from feeling too heavy. And honestly, the bun deserves its own moment because it was hella doing work on both sandwiches. I usually hate brioche-style buns on burgers. The second I see that shiny soft bun, I get suspicious because half the time it turns everything into some sweet, floppy mess. But this one? Fire. Fresh, soft, sturdy, and somehow held everything together without falling apart or turning into sauce-soaked sadness. A good bun can make or break a sandwich, and they naaaailed it. The fries were better than I expected too. Lightly battered, kind of like Rally's/Checkers-style fries, seasoned well, and stayed crispy for a while. That alone deserves respect because too many places serve fries that go limp before you even leave the lot. Overall, I get the hype. The food has flavor, the portions are solid and the prices are actually reasonable for what you're getting. Now... the parking and drive-thru situation? Absolute clown obstacle course. Getting into the lot feels like waiting to jump on the 91 freeway entrance on Atlantic Ave. Parking is super limited, nonexistent basically and the drive-thru wraps around awkwardly. If it's busy, you'll probably be causing a mini traffic jam on the road just trying to get into the place. Once you're in, you're basically committed. Full send or don't come. The line also sends you to the alley, so it feels less like a normal fast food drive-thru and more like you're waiting for an amusement park ride that happens to end with greasy food and nearby residents staring at you through their windows like, "yep, another one." It's funny, but also kind of cursed. There's security, so there's that rofl. There's also a taco spot right next to it, so depending on the time of day, the area can get lively real quick. Personally, I would not come here at night or on a busy weekend unless I was fully committed to the burger mission. Between the tight parking, alley setup, drive-thru pileup, random late-night foot traffic and the possibility of becoming part of the traffic problem yourself... it just seems like too much chaos for me. Also, I do miss the Church's Chicken that used to be on this corner. Storm Burger is good, don't get me wrong, but I had to pour one out spiritually for the old Texas fried chicken staple. At the end of the day, the food won me over. Storm Burger has flavor, personality and enough good stuff going on that I'd absolutely come back -- I'd just be strategic about when I go. read more

this is my first time at storm burger & i just experienced the worst customer service ever. i stood outside the window for about 15-20 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. two hispanic women in polo-style shirts came to the window numerous times, looked directly through me, and never once asked if i had been helped or needed anything. it felt like i was completely ignored (WHICH I WAS). after waiting, the shorter hispanic lady finally asked me what my name was. i told her that i had been waiting there for a long time, and she responded, "i saw you standing for 10 minutes, that's why i'm coming to the window now." i then asked to speak to a manager. she said, "ok, wait, let me get you one," and as she was walking away, i noticed her shirt was different from everyone else's, so i asked if she was a manager. she verbally said "NO", but then me stating that i see her shirts are different from the rest she hesitated to tell me yes, i asked why would she deny being a manager & she said "i think you wouldn't want to speak with me." i asked for her name, and she said gissell. eventually she said she would get the other manager named star. another 5 minutes passed & neither one of the managers came back to speak with me, but later i seen star walking from around the back and went right past me to handle a situation in the drive-thru with another employee, without acknowledging me once again. i was close enough to hear the name of the other employee in drive thru named edward, she went to go have a conversation with while i was still not being helped. on top of it all, i observed star later coming back in and walking past me AGAIN. she stood at the grey machines in the middle, looking at the wall, scratching her butt, and never once washed her hands, which raised concerns about cleanliness and food safety. overall, the lack of acknowledgment, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior made this a very disappointing first experience. i do have a recording that i will be posting if it allows me. those two "managers (star & gissell) need to have training about better customer service skills. as a customer i would understand if the establishment was busy (IT WAS NOT) & they told me to wait a while but me standing outside for approximately 30mins with not even a "hi/ hello is honestly so crazy to me. read more

NOPE, NOPE and NOPE! Sticking with IN n OUT I sent this email 3 days ago when we got home from the drive through - with pics attached. It said on their recording (and how sad that I can't get a live person on the phone), ...I would get a response in 24 hours. It's now 3 days later and NO ONE HAS REACHED OUT! We went through It was our first time trying Storm. So unhappy and disappointed and dissatisfied!! We had two orders. 1 classic burger combo with onions rings and a choc/vanilla shake 1 Bacon Bbq combo with onions rings and Coke Zero Got home and the first problem was the burgers were labeled wrong. Gave my husband his order the Bacon Bbq combo. Looked ok. I opened mine and even though it said classic combo burger - I opened the burger to find nothing but the crispy (soggy) onions and 2 pieces of bacon and a small squirt of bbq. That's it!! No burger! No meat! No cheese lettuce or tomato!! a bun with soggy onions 2 small piece of bacon. My shake was to be a "mix". I recently visited Storm Burger, a newly opened burger stand in North Long Beach, and overall had a positive experience. I went through the drive-thru, and while the staff seemed fairly young and my order was not completely accurate, the service was impressively fast. It's clear they're still getting into the rhythm of things, which is understandable for a new spot. On the food side, Storm Burger definitely delivered. I ordered the double cheeseburger with their storm sauce, and it was excellent--flavorful, well-balanced, and satisfying. The fries were crispy and cooked just right, which is always a plus. Recently, I placed an order at Storm Burger and was extremely disappointed. I ordered 6 burgers: 3 regular and 3 Double Burgers. When I got home and checked the order, I realized that out of the three Double Burgers, there was only one -- the other two were replaced with regular burgers. There was no warning or explanation. This means I paid for more expensive items but received cheaper ones instead. At best, this is negligence; at worst, it feels like misleading the customer. My family, especially the kids, were very upset because they were expecting exactly what we ordered. This kind of mistake is unacceptable. I expect the restaurant to contact me and resolve this issue -- either by refunding the difference or offering proper compensation. Otherwise, I will be forced to leave an appropriate rating and warn other customers about this experience. Very disappointed with the service. read more

I also had the chance to try all three of your lemonades--original, strawberry, and peach--and each one was excellent in its own way. They were refreshing and a great complement to the meal. Went in during a busy time, which I understand, but waited about 20 minutes for a single burger while watching multiple customers who ordered after me get their food first. It became pretty obvious my order was skipped or lost. When I brought it up, there wasn't much urgency or clear effort to fix it, which made the situation more frustrating. Mistakes happen, but ignoring it and not communicating is what really made this a bad experience. Hopefully this gets addressed because the system clearly broke down here.
