What a great storage facility!! I rented a unit thinking I had to use it but ultimately didn't need it and didn't move my items in the day I was supposed to move in. The storage mart employee called me after emailing me asking if I still needed the unit. I told him I didn't but assumed I lost my money (which was the most reasonable price in my area). He told me they could just vacate the unit and return my money even after I said to him that I was okay with them keeping the money since they did work on my behalf and I signed documents. I mean how often are businesses understanding and as helpful as Storage Mart is?! That made my day, thanks so much and I highly recommend this business!! read more

I love this place and appreciate the clean facility and friendly staff. I would gladly give it five stars, except that there are serious issues with security. These include the back gate left unlocked and wide open as displayed in my photo. To make matters worse, the buildings are left unlocked 24/7, and many units have hollow core doors. So much t would be a small matter for someone to enter, put their fist through storage unit doors, and empty the place. As a former police officer, my advice is to keep the back gate locked at all times. Lock the buildings at night, and replace hollow core doors --including the one to the office -- with solid core. And while you're at it, a basic alarm system would be well worth the expense. If you did these things, your property would beat anything else in NVA hands down. read more

RIP OFF - DO NOT RENT HERE. Management raised prices two times within a year, by 75%. When we initially moved in, we asked explicitly if the rate increase is expected, by how much, and how often. They said that there is an increase, but it is small and only happens once a year, if at all. We liked the facility overall and rented there. Big mistake. They increased price by about 40% after 4 months, and then by 20% 8 months later, for a total 75% increase in 13 months. They use false advertisement and lies to attract customers, and then make them pay ridiculous rates and take advantage of them knowing it would be burdensome to move to another facility. We attempted to talk to the management both times, and were told that the message will be communicated to them. No attempt has been made by Storage Mart to negotiate or resolve the issue though. Our rental unit (which we have had since 2016) price increased from $169.99 a month TO $186.99 a month DURING HEALTH pandemic. Suddenly, without warning our rental unit was increased by $17 a month in July and now August. DURING a GLOBAL HEALTH CRISIS this COMPANY chooses to profit and exploit customers. Why the cheap money grab? Why the need to charge an additional $17 month? Why was there no notification? WHY did they wish to extract more money from customers during a health crisis/pandemic? Why do they wish to squeeze more money out customers especially an elderly, disabled USMC Viet Nam War veteran with health issues? WHY the increase? WHY no notification? The increase in rent is unethical. We got an email from Corporate on March 12, 2020 acknowledging Covid dangers from "from" Michael Bernam CEO including a photo of this multi-millionaire! But no email regarding the unethical increase. SO WHY the $17 month money grab in rent increase during a health crisis/pandemic? read more

We have been here for 11 years and have been happy customers.The facility is well managed currently by Joe and Justin. They do an outstanding job and are always polite. Any issues have always been addressed promptly and professionally and with courtesy. The grounds are very secure, well-lit and well maintained. Prices we've experienced over the years have been reasonable and never excessive. We have leased space from various area storage facilities, this well run company is the best. Do not hesitate to use their facility if you are in need of storage. After reading the review on here from the alleged " former police officer" recommending essentially locking down the place in the name of security; I say accessibility is just as important as security. If you can't access your belongings when you need to because everything is locked and no one is available after hours, it is very frustrating! The suggestion of a "basic alarm system" makes absolutely no sense, if you want accessibility after hours. The "gotcha" photo of the gate open is pretty funny. The back gate allows access to the back part of the building, not an open field as suggested. Also, There are NO hollow core doors in the building; as a contractor I can tell you they are all heavy steel, commercial fire rated doors. In the 11 years we have never seen any issue at the facility with the police, break-ins or lax security. The front office has security cameras throughout as well. We also regularly observe staff doing their rounds and checking the grounds during business hours. It's worth noting the location here also is relatively safe. Fear not! read more

Awesome customer service! I needed to ship 4 framed paintings, and The UPS Store in Fairfax wanted to charge me $80 me to box them up (materials plus service/labor charges; actual shipping is extra). This seemed exorbitant. Happened to drive past the StorageMart and noticed boxes in the window. Am I glad I decided to check it out. Not only did the packaging materials cost significantly less than at The UPS Store (I paid $25 for a large double-layer expandable box designed for shipping mirrors, plus a roll of bubble wrap), but the staff on duty--Seth, Pearle, and Joe--figured out how to fit them securely in the box AND packaged them up, and didn't charge me for all their work! Seth and Joe even carried the box to my car for me. Outstanding service above and beyond anything I could have imagined! I was so flabbergasted and grateful that I forgot to use the Yelp check-in coupon. Seth, Pearle and Joe, you have won a loyal customer in me! read more

We have been with them for years and they have always been super helpful. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. The community of storage renters is also very friendly. Several local bands practice out of their units and that makes sorting out your Christmas decorations so much more fun. Everyone is friendly and it is a great environment. They have handy carts to move stuff back and forth from your car. It is air conditioned and well lit. I strongly recommend StorageMart. read more

Mentioned that they give discounts to students and people continuously rent from them every 6 months. Because I resell items- I'm looking for a space the hang clothes and items to photograph and post online. Must have a long history of serving community, but not not keeping up with the times, and deteriorated curb appeal does not let me recommend it to our friends seriously, Owner is not obviously not investing investing in upkeep. Did not have a good experience here. As their prices go up at certain points in the year my cost increased as well but when their prices dropped my cost did not. Very unfair to the customers. Also, while cleaning out my storage unit I was forbidden from using their dumpster for a few small items. I was still charged for the next month for the unit despite the fact I left it unlocked and they plan to rent it out again immediately. I would not recommend StorageMart to anybody. This past week I rented out a 10x15 storage unit through storage mart. I'd spent the past few weeks looking for a new practice space for my band. I inquired through storage mart and found they allow this! Debbie assisted me in picking out a unit and was extremely courteous and professional. I've rented at other facilities before and storage mart is by far the nicest. You're provided with a gate code and there are plenty of security camera so there's no worry of your stuff being tampered with or going missing. read more
