It is not often that you get great customer service nowadays. My first interactions were with Ell…read moreand Josh. Ell was very helpful and have a thorough explanation of the rental process and she did it with a genuine smile that you could feel that she was happy to assist without any hesitation. I was able to get the units I needed in the time frame I was looking for. I have to say that it was the team work between Josh and Ell that made that happen. Josh assisted and was able to find the units that were becoming available. He and Ell made this process such a delight when I was expecting it to be somewhat stressful with the time frame I had. Not only was this experience a breath of fresh air, but it continued each time I was at the facility. The maintenance and care of the facility is just as nice. Each time I have made a trip to my unit I see all of the crew doing something around the facility and each time they make eye contact and greet you with a smile. Josh was painting on one occasion and stopped what he was doing to acknowledge me and say good morning. You do not get this kind of acknowledgment anywhere these days and when you do it's definitely recognized. Thank you Josh, Ell and the other extremely kind and helpful maintenance helper that all I can remember is he has been with them for 4 years . I didn't want to get his name wrong. Keep up the great work and keep smiling . We need more experiences like these.

Reserved unit online on a Sunday 1) The unit wasn't ready…read moreand still had a lock on it. Called the 1-800 number who informed me that the location had that unit marked as ready for move in. They said the regional manager would call me, 3 months later still no call. 2) came back on Monday and the same thing yet again. The store wasn't open but their HQ people on the 1-800 number didn't know that. So I lost around 3-4 hours, this time with paid labor while I waited on anyone to show up with a key. Finally 4 hours later a manger of a completely different store showed up with a key. 3) When I went to turn in my unit, their were no employees on site at 10:30 (their hours are 10am-5pm) but they had a sign that they would return at 11am. I returned at 12:05 to see they had changed the be back time to 12pm but the store was still locked. I had to once again call the 1-800 number to cancel my unit. I gave them 1 star as zero wasn't an option.

I would recommend avoiding Unit 4725--or any units nearby. I rented a 10x30 storage unit and, less…read morethan a month in, discovered that the roof was leaking. Unfortunately, this caused water damage to several of my boxes, and I had to spend hundreds of dollars on labor to move my belongings to a different unit. To their credit, management did refund my month of rent and offered me another unit within the facility. However, the experience was frustrating overall. Reporting the issue and getting it resolved was difficult, as it's hard to reach someone directly. The front desk manager is kind and professional, but the office is often unattended, so communication typically requires leaving a voicemail and waiting until the next day for a response. Because of the leak and the challenges with timely communication, I'm giving this rating.

Our daughter moved home for a year to do her externship. Our initial experience with Extra Space…read moreStorage was a good one. It was easy to reserve a storage unit, the staff was helpful and it was a decent price. I have to admit that's where our good experience ended. At the end of the year the price went up 25% and this past weekend we moved our daughter out of the unit. We found a lot of mouse droppings and quite a bit of damage due to the mice. Things were chewed through and urine covered a lot of items so we ended up throwing a lot out. When we were moving the items into the moving van a mouse came out of a piece of furniture. We did not store anything food related so they weren't enticed by that. I am not quite sure what the solution is for a mouse issue in a large facility like that but something has to be done.

The property was very well kept and the A/C was blowing when we viewed available units. The covered carport for loading and unloading is a great feature, and I like the security of the facility. The only negative i experienced was heresay from another tenant who stated he was moving out of his unit because ever since the new manager started working there, he has checked on his unit to find 90 degree temperatures in and around his "climate controlled" storage unit. And he wasn't happy about that. Max temp is supposed to be 80 at this facility. Temps were good when I was there.
