This place is awesome. Whenever I'm unsure about where to eat, this is my go to. I can never go wrong with that decision. We usually get the petite pesto pasta, with a petite chicken and try tip combo. The combo comes with a side or salad and two breadsticks. This meal is enough to fill two people up. During this visit, I decided to try the Mac and cheese instead of the pasta, and I was not disappointed. It was delicious. I ordered a blueberry cheesecake to-go so I could eat at home and enjoy it over the next two days. The only thing that I would want them to improve on is consistency. I've been here multiple times, and only faced a consistency problem twice. Once, the pesto pasta had no flavor, but the staff immediately took care of the problem. The second time was the tri tip. It was cut differently from all the other times I came here, and tasted/ looked like brisket. I asked the staff and they assured me it was tri tip because they don't served brisket. I took their word for it, so we'll see how it is next time. read more

Take out is still good during this long Covid adventure. I would recommend the tritip! They also do a nice job on the salads. Put in your order online and it will be ready when promised. read more

This place is such a disappointment.. told me to pick up food in 25 minutes went there in 30 to pick up the food ice cold .. asked for anything tasting like garlic on the pizza and then he recommended adding a garlic so I said sure but definitely didn't expect a WHOLE garlic on my pizza. The guy J told me he knew the menu to just offer the pizza with me choosing my topping.. checking the menu while paying for the food to see other options in there.. this branch is nothing compared to the Pasadena branch. #dontrecommend read more

Stonefire Grill - A chef with common sense would never do this. - American Near Me - Irvine, California

Pizza was massively burned, got 2x extra toppings of cheese since places usually will give you none extra, just to be sure, ended up getting an extremely standard amount of cheese too. Bread sticks were incredibly bland and rubbery texture. Best part of the restaurant was the buttermilk ranch, even yet that was meh too. read more

My wife and I have either been to or taken out from StoneFire Grill in Irvine many times over the years. We went to StoneFire on Thursday, 8/27, for dinner at about 6:00 PM. They had outdoor seating only (which is why we decided to go to "dine-in"). All workers we saw were wearing masks and gloves. Ordering our food was same as always except they poured your drinks. Wife ordered a Tri-Tip Dinner and I ordered a Combo Tri-Tip and Ribs. Plenty of tables available on the patio; though, some were not shaded as well as others. The food was delivered to our table within expected time. Wife's dinner was very good. My ribs were a little over cooked (not as moist and fall off the bone as usual); but, not bad enough to send back. Service was very good until after everyone on the patio's food had been delivered; then, no one came out to check. After about 15 minutes of no one coming out, wife finally went inside to ask for a box and drink refills. read more

This restaurant is a staple among many people I know- and it's a staple for me! The service is always fantastic. The restaurant is clean with great lighting. A very large amount of tables which can easily accommodate larger groups. There is a large parking lot and there always seems to be more than enough parking. I have enjoyed almost every single thing I've eaten here. Salad portions are extremely generous so anything over a "petite" size means that you may have trouble finishing your meal. The tri-tip, salmon, and chicken are always excellent. Their house bbq sauce is self serve and amazing to dip bread sticks in. If you're not careful, it is easy to over-eat here! Be careful walking to the bathroom. It's close to the entrance to the kitchen and usually the floor is a bit slippery. I have noticed that staff often puts mats here but it's still worth watching your step. read more

I am a huge fan of this place for their sandwiches and salads. Everything here always tastes really fresh and great quality ingredients. Once you arrive, you order at the counter, and someone will bring your food to your table. My staple favorites are the bbq chicken salad, south of the border salad and the grilled chicken pesto sandwich - so delicious!! The service is really friendly. The restaurant is kept really clean, even during it's busy times. I always heard about this place on the radio, so I had to come try it out! read more

While I've had a handful of positive dining experiences here, the few times I've had bad service really ruin this place for me. Don't laugh at me but I LOVE Caesar Salads and I love the caesar dressing at stonefire because of how garlicky it is. So I've come to just get a chicken caesar salad before but for some reason this salad is terribly overpriced... like more expensive than getting their chicken meal combo. Also when I ordered this to-go i swear I got like 5 tiny chunks of super dry and flavorless chicken. bleh. Not wanting to make the same mistake i decided to get the lemon-garlic chicken meal last night with a side caesar which I got to-go. After waiting 20 minutes to my dismay i noticed there was no dressing packed. Probably the only reason why I wanted to go here was missing from my meal.. not to mention no napkins, no utensils, nothing. There's always something wrong with my order here. It probably has to to do with the super young workers they tend to hire. They all look like their working their first jobs out of highschool... I'll probably pass on coming back here again. read more

I went today with my husband and son. We give 5 stars for the customer service. Two employees were a stand out-Jose and Luz. They were helpful and attentive. They came by to ensure everything was ok and when my husband dropped his water cup on the floor, Jose quickly cleaned it up without hesitation. Luz came by several times to ensure our dirty plates were picked up promptly. They even brought us to go packages without asking. Thank you for an outstanding experience. I give the food 4 stars. I liked the pizza and chicken Cesar salad. We did not like the pesto pasta at all. It was underwhelming and lacked flavor. It was also too oily. I was so disappointed with that dish. read more

Before heading up to Mammoth, we stopped by for some quick sandwiches for the road. My friend suggested the bbq chicken. I'm not the biggest fan of bbq, but he said it was amazing, so I decided to try it out. He got some sauce on the side because he said there wasn't enough on the sandwich. I declined to follow suit, since I figured it would be enough as it stood. I was wrong. When I got my sandwich, I couldn't see any sauce at all. The wrap tasted like a seasonless salad in a tortilla. I had to go fill up some containers of bbq sauce so that I could pour it all over my food. Needless to say, I wasn't at all impressed, and I should have ordered something else. The 99 cent garlic mashed potato add on was similarly disappointing. read more

THIS PLACE IS DA BOMB!!! Shout out to the great service we received from Brendan. He gave us awesome recommendations and saved us the most money with a combo that was fit for our appetites. Between 2 people we ordered: - tri tip + ribs meal (inc. cheesy garlic breadsticks and choice of salad) - 1/2 slab ribs meal (inc. garlic mashed potatoes) - roasted cauliflower Every single item was a hit!!! The ribs were the star of the show. Some of the best ribs I've had in my life. This place reminds me of Pat n Oscars...brought back some great memories :,) I also love the concept of this restaurant. There's a diverse menu....everyone's bound to like something. You pay at the front, get a buzzer, and food is brought to you. It's mostly self service and you get your own utensils, plates, etc, but servers come around to clean up and help out with anything else you need. This is an awesome concept- no more waiting around for servers to refill your water or bring you extra plates. Yay!!!! It's like sizzler but way nicer... On top of being stuffed we had leftovers for the next day. The prices are very affordable for the amount and quality of food you get. We left as happy campers!!! Thanks Brendan!! read more

A few problems I had with this place for my first time visit. The food for my party came relatively fast but mine took a really long time. My coworker finished her meal before I even got mine. When I got my food, they had gotten my order wrong. I got garlic chicken instead of BBQ which I ordered. I had quinoa for my side and it took a really long time to come out as well. It came after I had finished my entree. With that said, they will receive a 4 star from me because the chicken I got was actually very delicious even though my order was wrong. And when they realized they gave me the wrong order and that it took so much time for me to receive my food, they apologized sincerely and gave me a gift card for my next return. I believe I got the back luck for my first visit but the costumer service and management was good and I can honestly let the minor mistakes slide for that reason. read more

Boss man invited me out to lunch and we picked this place because it's fast casual, close by, and convenient. Plenty of parking in the Target shopping center and their lunch specials are always good and inexpensive. Win/win. We were able to quickly order and get our food. I got the pesto pasta with a side of their breadsticks and it arrived quickly plus it was good. Even though it was a lunch special with a lunch side portion, it was still huge. I wonder how big their regular entrees are?? Customer service was also good. They forgot my breadstick and when I mentioned it, they brought an extra for forgetting and were also attentive for drinks, etc. I'll be back for lunch or dinner. read more

This review is for their catering service. I found out last minute on Monday that we needed to have lunch catered for our company on Tuesday - less than 24 hours notice. We have a usual group of restaurants we order from but they wanted something new, and the place had to deliver. I called Stonefire Grill and was happy to hear that their Irvine location would deliver all the way to Anaheim. I was transferred to their catering department and quickly placed my order. So happy they were able to accommodate a large order on such short notice. We ordered their Elly's Choice combo for 35 people, and also a side of coleslaw, thinking it might not be enough food. The combo comes with chicken, tri-tip, a bbq chopped salad, mashed potatoes, and breadsticks. The price, even with the delivery fee was very comparable to the other places we order from, and we got so much more food! The overall consensus was everybody enjoyed it and they want me to order from Stonefire again. The tri-tip (I went with BBQ) was GREAT, very juicy, and had a wonderful flavor on it's own, without the BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce though, was also very tasty. Everybody loved it! The breadsticks were AMAZING and we had none left at the end of the day. The salad, cole slaw and mashed potatoes were also really good. The only thing that nobody really cared for was the chicken, I chose lemon garlic over BBQ, and it was very bland, had little flavor. Next time I would get BBQ chicken. We had about half of it leftover. My only other downside was when I placed the order I told them we were serving lunch at 11:30, so they said they would show up at 11:00 to setup. I was fine with that, but the delivery showed up at 10:40 and he was done setting up in about 10 minutes, so the food cooled off considerably by 11:30 when we served. Next time I will ask them to come later, lesson learned! The deliver guy, I THINK his name was Amir, was SO sweet, had a great personality, and was extremely helpful and nice to work with. I am looking forward to ordering from them again. My husband works near their restaurant and said he and his coworkers go for lunch often and they always enjoy it. read more

Not at all what I expected. Sub-par quality of meat. The roasted cauliflower with meat sauce and mozarella didn't have any good flavor, couldn't taste any cheese or meat on it. Also smelt weird, which ruined the whole experience. Had to leave it after a couple of bites. Definitely would not recommend. 1/2 tri tip half and half medium done, felt ok, but DO NOT get the non bbq sauce flavour, it was not good. Maybe will try different items on the menu next time, if there's one. $50 for two people seems wasted when you can't eat the entree and had to leave almost all of it. Picture is what we had to leave uneaten. read more

This place is to die for!!! There hasn't been anything on the menu I haven't liked. In my opinion, their pasta and garlic bread are their best winners!! Try the tomesto pasta--it's a split bowl, half is covered with their tomato sauce and the other half is mixed with their pesto sauce. The best of both worlds! It's a order at the counter and they'll bring the food to you type of restaurant. If it's busy, they'll have a host to guide you to your table, but otherwise you get to pick your own seats as well. Their portion sizes are big so if you're sharing more than one item with someone, then opt for the petite sized items. read more

Stonefire Grill - Small Tomesto pasta, and a 6-ounce tri-tip meal (comes with two garlic breadsticks and a side) - American Near Me - Irvine, California

If you love some good, simple pesto, some gaaaaarlic tri tip, and deelish breadsticks, you've come to the right place my Yelping friend! I can never tire of Stonefire Grill! It's become a go-to catering spot for a few of our family parties when we can't decide what to cook and even some birthday celebrations...because that's how much we love their pesto pasta & bread sticks. A few faves: - Garlic Tri Tip: this dish is always a crowd pleaser w/ fam & friends. I prefer the peppered garlic over the mesquite bbq just for flavor sake. You can always top off your pepper garlic with bbq sauce if you so desire! -BBQ Chopped Salad: If you love a good buttermilk ranch dressing, it pairs so nicely with all the ingredients in the chopped salad. Hehe like a deconstructed tostada -Baby Back Ribs: I love my baby back, baby back, baby back riiiiiiibs! Smother it in all that BBQ sauce and you are golden! -Pesto Pasta: My favorite..I don't know why but I love the pesto pasta here. It's such a simple dish and I always get my carb fix satiated, haha. And for some reason if I have leftovers, it tastes super good cold - cold pasta salad=P. If you reheat it, it the pesto sauce just melts away, no bueno! -and the complimentary breadsticks...addicting!!! You CAN'T have just one! Located in the Crossroads plaza, there's ample parking. Interior is super spacious and we've never had trouble getting a table. Though we do go at off hours at times to avoid the dinner crowd. Process is simple - order at the front cashier, seat yourself, and the food gets brought out to you. Easy peasy...now enjoy! read more

Randomly stopped here on the way home and i was pleasantly delighted! After the line to order and get our number everything looked up. Picked up our drinks and they have an amazing brewed tropical iced tea!! My favorite!! The runner brought out our grilled cauliflower with tahini that ended up being delicious! Wasnt sure what to expect but I found a new love for cauliflower. Next our garlic bread and pizza came, both tastey! Finally our INCREDIBLE garlic mashed potatoes arrived...if you like both garlic and potatoes like myself, you'll be in potato heaven. I am not sure what else they put in them...but whatever it is, is magical! read more

STONEFIRE Grill is the answer to all your catering needs. They offer packages that are reasonably priced without sacrificing the quality and quantity of each dish. Want it full service? No problem. They will provide you with 2 servers (additional fee) depending on how big your party is and they will set up a beautiful buffet table for you. Disposable plates, utensils, and napkins are included, as well as to-go boxes if you need them. From set up to clean up, they will take care of everything within the time allotted and would even pack up your leftovers for you. Linens are provided but everything else you will have to take care of such as tables and chairs for buffet and dining. Having a casual event? No problem. You can choose to order food for pick up or have it delivered for a minimal fee. Our recent event went very smoothly, thanks to STONEFIRE Grill's competent staff. Deciding on the menu was not hard due to their flexibility to change items and because they offer dishes that cater to anyone with special dietary needs. We went with the CHICKEN & TRI TIP COMBO which already came with their "irresistible" BREADSTICKS (I swear by them), plus 2 sides (salad, sides, hot pasta). BBQ CHOPPED SALAD was not an option but for an additional .79 cents per person, we made it happen. That's money well spent, folks because if you don't know yet, aside from the breadsticks, this salad is quite the stud. Why not when it has corn, tomatoes, onions, beans, and man those tortilla strips sure make this a crunchy salad to devour. HOT PESTO PASTA has got to be your other side dish. I promise you it will be a big hit at your party. As for the mains, you can't go wrong with their flavorful grilled TRI TIP that's tender and juicy -- add a dollop of their signature bbq sauce and it'll have you say mmhhmm! Don't forget their BONELESS CHICKEN BREAST as that is served swimming in a garlic lemon sauce with flavors that will make you do the chicken dance. All this for less than $15 per head is incredible! Mad props to Elodie for helping out in planning the menu as well as our servers, Eric and Olivia for doing a good job at our event. Everyone left happy and full! read more

Food was delivered still sufficiently warn. Taste of the Tri-tip and chicken breast was good with either choice. The Tri tip was a little tough to chew but the chicken was delicious. I also like the potato salad. When you order the family size, you get a good size salad with it as well. Overall I like this outfit but will substitute Robb's for the trim tip. read more

Stonefire Grill is my family's favorite restaurant. The most surprising item on their menu to me is their Cobb Salad. It's standard in that it has hard boiled egg, blue cheese and bacon, but their dressing is a zesty olive oil vinaigrette instead of a standard ranch. We usually order it with tri tip and a side of ranch. Their vinaigrette dressing makes the whole salad. In every single bite you get equal parts of bacon, lettuce, egg, blue cheese and meat and to top it off, you taste the acidic and salty dressing. Besides the Cobb, everything else is great. Their Tomesto for the kids is super saucy and the pasta is perfectly al dente. Some other faves are their tri tip and lemon garlic chicken breast. All are tender and juicy and perfectly cooked each and every time. The one thing that I can do without are their bread sticks. It looks like it would be cheesy and flavorful, but for whatever reason, the coating/powder is pretty bland. There's always plenty of seating and parking and the entire staff is always friendly. Portion sizes are incredibly generous so you get a lot of bang for your buck. read more

I don't ever eat leftovers from a restaurant or ever have a feeling wanting to come back for more always, but Stonefire Grill is simply amazing. I can't get enough of their pesto pasta, their entrees and their super delicious breadsticks. The staff is always so kind and accommodating. They always tell you what their favorites and what they would recommend. The food is always served quickly and it is always fresh!! Also, the staff comes around to ask if everyone is doing okay. Stonefire Grill - Can't get enough of those breadsticks!! - American Near Me - Irvine, California

Crack mac and cheese, delicious tri tip and yummy breadsticks. That's all you need to know about Stonefire Grill. Well, there is a lot more to Stonefire Grill than that, but I pretty much don't really deviate from that too much here unless I decide to be healthier and go for one of their tasty salads which they have plenty of. I have been coming to this Stonefire Grill for some time now in Irvine because I enjoy their large, varied menu and ample seating in this large restaurant. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/stonefire-grill-irvine?select=Q0apeMy3yknZ-O_MDLsR-A The menu here includes BBQ items, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, salads, sides, kids meals, desserts and beverages, wine and beer. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/stonefire-grill-irvine?select=pIywPn5aCvXbPFdy0ssqQA There is truly something for everyone here. Portions are really sizable for the money, too. The personal size (which are the smallest portions) are large enough to share especially the mac and cheese and salads if you want to eat family style and share dishes. And speaking of families, they also have great family meal deals here which are great for four or more people. They feature such deals as a whole tri-tip or whole chicken, medium salad and 12-pack of breadsticks. This restaurant is fast casual where you order at the counter and your food is brought out to you. Service is always friendly and attentive. I also like the fact that several employees come check back on your table after your food is served to see if you are enjoying your meal or need anything. The are tables and booths throughout the restaurant and they can accommodate large parties if needed. On my last visit here, there were about 10 policemen and 5 firemen eating in the restaurant which proves hearty, good food is served here. Stonefire Grill does, indeed, offer comfort food as well as many other great meal options. I am glad this restaurant is now a fixture in Irvine in the Crossroads Shopping Center. read more

Oh, I am becoming a fan for Stonefire Grill in Irvine. Entwined under the warm summer sun and the ocean breeze, a little American BBQ sounded appetizing for dinner, and an excellent beginning to transition into a new month. We were actually deciding on Lucille's, then realized the long wait for the weekend was not nearly worth it for a well known chain, so my friend suggested Stonefire Grill that was close to his house. Upon entrance I was dazed that ordering was upon the front instead of being waited. If you have dined at Shakey's pizza parlour, expect Stonefire Grill to be just the same. We ordered half baby back ribs, and tri-tips, and a plate of BBQ chicken which both comes with your choice of salad starter. We both chose the cartwheel based on recommendation by one of the workers. To my surprise however, the cartwheel salad was phenomenal, and full of bursting flavour! I appreciated the abundance of beets, radishes, garbanzo beans, and tortilla strips mixed with the salad making it a hearty start. This was a definite favourite that I like to ask for to-go on quick lunch runs. The baby back ribs were sooo tender; for someone who rarely consumes meat, I was a fan of this meal! The meat practically falls right off the bone; I can tell this was cooked just right. The tri-tip was flawlessly medium rare along with soft texture. Southern comfort isn't my everyday cuisine preference, but once in a while do i find Stonefire Grill to be exceptional adequate x read more

Stonefire Grill is located in Irvine within Crossroads plaza that is right next to Target and LA Fitness. Parking is plentiful all around the plaza which should not be a problem for anyone. I've actually ate at Stonefire Grill a couple of years ago and the restaurant was super crowded and popping like popcorn! Still today, the restaurant continues to be POPPING like its hot! *Note: Stonefire Grill has 7 other locations in Southern California if this location is not close by to you. Service (3.5 star): There's only counter service here, but the staff are pretty friendly and welcoming. The worker who was taking our order helped us decide between two different kinds of pizza. *Note: There is an option of doing half and half for the pizza! (WOOT WOOT!) Decor (3.5 star): The decor of Stonefire Grill is very casual with tables and booths throughout the restaurant. There is a patio area for anyone who would like to dine outside and to enjoy a beautiful day. Food: So, my buddies and I shared a 16 inch pizza for dinner which comes in 8 slices. For one half of the pizza we ordered Mesquite BBQ chicken (4 star) and the other half Stonefire's Favorite (5 star). The Mesquite BBQ chicken had Gouda cheese, cilantro, and red onions which tasted very yummy. The cheese was super duper cheesy and it strings down as you take each bite of the pizza. For the Stonefire's Favorite pizza it had homemade pesto, avocado, red onions, mozzarella, leta cheese, and fresh basil. This pizza was delicious and unique! I love tasting the pesto sauce and the fresh basil (nom nom nom!). *Note: Most of the pizza should come in 3 different sizes (9 inch, 12 inch, or 16 inch). *Note: Stonefire Grill has a catering menu as well as take out! *Note: Bottomless drinks are available here! I really enjoyed eating their pizza so far and would love to try out their other dishes sometime in the future. If you are ever craving for some pizza or prefer trying out their other dishes, then stop on by at Stonefire Grill to give your taste buds and tummy with some great satisfaction. I did really like this place. I thought the service was pretty good, and the food was pretty good. It was a little on the pricey side, but this is generally consistent with the rest of Southern California. It is an interesting layout, instead of sitting down and a waiter coming to get your order, instead you order by going up the the front and ordering. The plates and dishware and condiments are on the far back side, you need to cross to the other side of the restaurant to get something unless you're sitting on the far side. Really I think they should have put these things somewhere in the middle. The menu has a lot of good things on it, and the restaurant is very clean and new. Of course, you can also choose to sit on the outside patio to take advantage of the gorgeous southern california weather. It is not too loud and not too busy. All in all, I would recommend coming here at least once. It's a decent place and worth coming to. When I went, we ordered a pizza and salads. It was pretty good. Not particularly memorable, but pretty good. read more

I read all the reviews and I was pretty excited to try this place, however I'm not sure if I just came on an off day or if I expected more given the high reviews. We came here and got the not so secret stimulus package: -1lb tri tip or chicken -breadsticks -1 2 topping pizza -choice of salad from the 4 top selections It was $28.99, which isn't a bad deal at all (I was expecting it to be $40, not sure why). You order at the front, pay, and you're given a little ringer thing. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that you don't even have to get up to get your food, they bring you your food to your table. That was pretty cool considering I was expecting it to buzz. At first, our pizza came out (sausage and pepperoni). It was a bit smaller than I expected - 6 slices to share with 4 people, but man this pizza was actually quite delicious. It was greasy in all the right ways, with a flavorful tomato base and just the right saltiness on top. The crust was thin and perfectly baked so that it was chewy enough to support the toppings and yet still had a nice crispiness to it. I was pretty hyped for the rest of the food to come - I mean, the pizza was delicious and this place was not known for this dish. However, when everything else came, I was pretty disappointed. The breadsticks came next and I was expecting to be delicious given both the yelp reviews and how great the pizza crust itself was. However, these came out both cold and bland. They were rather tasteless and just felt like empty carbs. The garden salad we got wasn't great either. The salad had wilted pieces of lettuce scattered around and it was absolutely drenched in the salad dressing. I really hate wasting food, but we left a good majority of it uneaten. The hero of the meal was suppose to be the tri tip. We ordered it medium rare and sadly, it came out to be medium well. The meat was too overcooked to my liking and left it dry :( read more

This place is GRRRRR-EEEAT! (Tony the Tiger style) Boyfriend and I are always looking for healthy alternative sit-down restaurants. We were very excited to come here because it says, GRILL, hello?! Although our GRILLED food came with a nice dosage of oil underneath (the reason it's 4 and not 5 stars) the food tasted SO SO GOOD! As the best Yelper out there, there are pictures of every plate we ordered! (Did you just roll your eyes at my best Yelper comment? :-/) Since we were newbs, we couldn't just stand there without knowing what to order, so we grabbed a menu and sat down. We are the annoying type that ask many questions about the food and these workers were so kind and helpful! We ended up getting: Grilled Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast: Tasted very fresh and light Tri-Tip: 1/2lb BBQ 1/2lb Pepper Garlic Pesto Pasta petite (it says individual but it's such a big portion) and it was very good! Cowboy Beans: Great unique taste Grilled Veggies: Yumm I'm a veggie lover so this was a great surprise Didn't try the salads or the bread-sticks, so I guess we will next time! Amazing food, great protions and friendly staff, thank you, we have been coming to this location for many years and we will be back

So last Wednesday my guy and I decided to swing on by to Stonefire. We come here pretty often. I really love the salads. He really likes the Pulled Pork sandwich and breadsticks. It's been good. But last Wednesday, it was GREAT!! We order our food and take a seat. The girl at the register is pleasant, nothing special. We take a seat and one of the food runners, Jason, makes his way to our table with my Cartwheel salad on a tray. That's when time slowed down. He greeted us. Smiled. Reached for the salad. His facial features contorted. The salad bowl slipped from his grasped... slowly, all the contents seemed to defy gravity... like a shower of produce raining on the table... and the bowl flipping, flipping, landing upside down at the edge of the table. For a moment, we were motionless. Then, time caught up. Jason looked utterly mortified. My guy, shocked, but smiling. I was laughing. That was an epic salad toss! And none of it managed to get on me!! So why the 5-star rating? Jason not only came back to clean the salad salmagundi in a flash, but got it replaced super fast. It even got there with the rest of our meal. He apologized, although I'm not sure he believed that we really REALLY didn't mind. He came back to check on us often, and even insisted on bringing us desert. His service was fantastic! BTW, this is how we now know that the Carrot Cake is sinfully delicious!!! Dinner AND a show! It's been a while. I am happy. read more

I've been to Stonefire Grill a few times, and every time I've really enjoyed it! Every time I've visited I've been with my boyfriend, and most of the time his two grandmas come with us. My favorite dish by FAR is their tri-tip! I always get the petite tri-tip (6 ounces) with the garlic flavoring/seasoning/spread, and a side of their amazing garlic mashed potatoes. It is the perfect size for my small-medium stomach, and the tri tip is just cooked to perfection. I am a big fan of tri tip but I usually never order it from restaurants...and it is basically the ONLY thing I order when I go to Stonefire! My boyfriend always gets the BBQ chicken pizza which he really loves. One of his grandmas gets the mac n cheese which she seems to really enjoy too. All of the staff are very friendly and clean off the tables pretty quickly. This is the only location I've ever been to, but I really enjoy it and wish I lived closer so I could visit more often! read more

StoneFire Grill is a cross between fast food and casual dining. You order your food and pay at the cashier. You then get a number and the server brings your food to your table. The dinning room is a lot better than fast food restaurant as is the food. However, I was a little disappointed in the quality consistency expected from a chain restaurant. My first visit with SFG was quite enjoyable, which was why I came back again. However, my second visit was forgettable! I would still come back in the future when I am in the neighborhood because the menu is quite extensive and I wouldn't mind trying other items. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/jpRnEGWqWuKquHO_0Y0MFQ?select=HGdb7Af9ie-qkpYSYGMPxw http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/jpRnEGWqWuKquHO_0Y0MFQ?select=tXGVa36FRxaVvmmt-BAq1w There were only 3 of us, but I decided to order a Family Meal with 1/2 TRI TIP & FULL SLAB OF RIBS. It also came with a medium salad and 12 breadsticks. My son was craving Mac & Cheese, so we also got a large M & C. Needless to say, we had to packe 4 boxes of left-overs to go! I love the breadsticks. They were warm and soft with garlic Parmesan cheese. The medium salad (we chose Caesar) was no medium at all. The meal was for 4 but that salad could feed 8. It was a huge bowl!!! The large M & C was LARGE alright. Again, that was portion enough for 8!!! Loved the Caesar Salad, didn't love the M & C. The pasta was under-cooked and some pieces were still hard. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/jpRnEGWqWuKquHO_0Y0MFQ?select=LRIsTjX45y7mUNrLwhY9lw The Tri-Tip tasted a little gamy and was no where near the tenderness from the one I had in my first visit. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/jpRnEGWqWuKquHO_0Y0MFQ?select=vN_BzarrgYhKBwWSHt_ZoQ The ribs were also disappointing. While I appreciated how meaty they were, they barely had any flavor and the meat was tougher than the last time I had them. I really had to pour on the extra BBQ sauce to give it the flavor. You can also see the slab of ribs were cooked unevenly. One end was obviously charred while the other barely had grill mark. When I cut the ribs, I could see some were slightly pink. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/jpRnEGWqWuKquHO_0Y0MFQ?select=ppSDsFKNz2WziMHRdyD4rA Service was very friendly and the manager even brought the food out himself. It was nice to see that a manager was hands-on. I really liked the family-friendly atmosphere and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. I hope my next visit will be a better one. read more

Placed a to go order. When I went to pick it up I asked for extra ranch for my salad. I was given the extra ranch and also charged $4 more for extra dressing. Unbelievable!! You're a freaking restaurant and you're charging for extra dressing!??!! And if you're going to charge for the extra salad dressing at least fill up the container to the top and not halfway. After all you are charging me for it. Oh and I also was not given utensils for my food when I specifically asked for it there at the counter. It's small things like this that leave a bad taste in your customers mouth. Honestly it's not about the $4 but it just seems so petty to charge a paying customer who bought food from you for extra salad dressing. The manager should really be embarrassed that someone on their staff even did this read more

We did a pick up order from here and had the best experience. It was our first time as a customer. The food was ready on time, the staff was friendly and professional, and most importantly the food was delicious. We particularly loved the tri tip salad and breadsticks. Our dinner guests couldn't stop talking about how good dinner was. We are excited to return. Thanks for helping me figure out an awesome meal at the last minute. read more

Totally underrated place. And honestly, I think Urban Plates moving in just next door and being soooooooooo crazy busy helped draw some overdue attention to StoneFire Grill. The food is pretty similar, just presented in different ways. Sure, they sometimes think medium rare is the same as medium well...but their tri-tip is almost always tender. Their salads are bomb (chopped salad, I'm looking at you!) and the portions are more than enough for the stated # of people. Their sides are pretty tasty too - I favor the quinoa mint salad and the cauliflower salad. Yum! Definitely a place we go to when we're in the mood for some no-fuss tri-tip and salad. read more

Wow did not know of this gem until today! First timer here and everything was delcious! I was confused at first thinking that I was suppose to get seated first then order but it's backwards here. But hey, whatever works. I got up to the counter and ordered the following: Grilled Salad w/chicken - medley of vegetables with a light vinaigrette dressing tossed and served Baked Rigatoni with meat sauce and mozzarella - giant rigatoni pasta along with a beef marinara all brought together by melted mozzarella Lemon Garlic Chicken - my goodness, the chicken literally melted in my mouth! Most tender chicken I ever had! Tritip (1/2 mesquite bbq 1/2 pepper garlic topped with gorgonzola butter) I like the fact they asked me how I wanted my tritip (medium rare). It was well cooked and the gorgonzola butter was a nice touch. Mesquite BBQ Chicken - by far my favorite dish of the night. Had both tritip and chicken, topped with gouda cheese cilantro and red onion with a drizzle of bbq sauce. Everything I tried was delicious from beginning to end. The only thing that irked me was since you order at the front you technically don't have "servers/waiters". So when the receipt was asking for tip I hesitated for a second. Only the manager came by the tables asking if we needed anything but everything else you had to get it yourself (plates, utensils, drinks etc.) But with the fair menu prices, I guess I can be a big boy and get things myself. read more
