Stopped in for lunch the other day prior to a Dr. appointment. I had a regular size (not petite) Southwest salad which had a choice of quinoa, mesquite grilled chicken or tri tip with mixed greens, roasted corn, red peppers, avocado, red onion, tomato, red cabbage, pepitas, tortilla strips, Feta cheese, and a Chili Lime Vinaigrette. I went with mesquite grilled chicken and went sans Feta/tortilla strips since gestational diabetes makes me literally no fun. The salad came out in a big bowl that I happily scooped onto my plate. It was terrific and I had about half of it left when I was done so I would say this is such a great value. There are little stations set up where you can grab a to-go box and I easily wrapped up my leftovers with no fuss. Also, I think chicken was a great choice. The meat was flavorful and didn't taste previously frozen...perhaps next time I'll mix it up with tri tip. Stonefire Grill reminds me of a Panera or anywhere that you can get "faster food". Just had take-out from Stonefire Grill over the wknd... Pesto pasta - this was really good. Simple, but done well. Not too oily and just the right amount of pesto. Garlic mashed potatoes - decent, no complaints Half roast chicken - UNDERCOOKED. This was extremely off putting, not to mention unsafe. We ordered from here via Postmates and I won't name names but this place feels very close to another place that had amazing bread sticks, pizza, salad and chicken. We ordered a family pack that included bread sticks, salad, chicken, and pizza. Everything was delicious. However, I'll add that they use a lot of garlic so if you love garlic you'll love it here. We ordered the garlic lemon chicken and there were big pieces of garlic in every crevice of the chicken. I had to pick some out because as much I like garlic, I had to be considerate of my coworkers the next day. Also, there is a lot of garlic in the Caesar salad dressing. Also, the value is great. The past few times that we have gone to take Stonefire to go, it has been lackluster. We ate at the restaurant a few months ago for a birthday dinner and got food poisoning(I'm pretty sure it was the salad because my youngest was the only one who didn't get it and he was the only one not sick). I really love the salads and pasta but the most recent to go order(4/2), they did not add salt to pasta making the pesto bland and flavorless. We always order carrot cake every time we go and this time the carrot cake was not made properly. It was mushy and did not seem to have all the ingredients in it as it was not sweet and the cake itself was lacking in spices. I love stonefire grill bc it's family style. The pasta is always al dente. And the portions are huge! I believe the sizes are petite, small, and large? A small pasta can be shared btwn 2-3 people. My favorite is the pesto pasta. The mash potato is okay i thought it dry. The tri trip is good and has a hint of smoked BBQ. I brought home the Caesar salad and ate it for lunch the next day. Was really looking forward to last night's visit to Stonefire Grill. They really overall have good food. But it just seems restaurants are really going downhill. Raising prices and the food just not as good. I usually order the tri tip which as long as I order and eat it there is great But I really wanted baby back ribs. Was sooo disappointed. Not a sliver of fat which made them very dry and chewy. What a shame. I really need to stop giving them second chances and just move on. read more

This was our first visit to this Stonefire Grill location. We arrived at high noon, and the place was packed. I was a little concerned, due to the fact that we were on a tight schedule as always. As a result of the staff's efficiency, our wait in line to order was very reasonable. While waiting in line to order, a staff member approached, asked us for our names, and then placed a placard at a table.......pretty awesome. I am sure we have all been to an eatery where you order your food and then look for a table, which can be frustrating. This certainly was not the case at Stonefire Grill. Not surprisingly, I went overboard while ordering. I ordered a large macaroni and cheese, a Greek salad, BBQ chicken, and a tri tip meal that came with garlic (real garlic) mashed potatoes. Moments later, I was greeted by a staff member with a Jolly Green Giant portion of macaroni and cheese. I did not realize how large a large really was. I made the best of it and dug in. Each item we ordered was delicious. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and attentive to our needs. First things first...bring a jacket if you are going to sit inside because they keep this place COLD! It sort of between fast food and sit down. You order at the counter then go choose a table. You have to get your own silverware and plates and drinks. Food is 3 stars but just barely... Really 2.5 stars. Will run you 12 bucks per person. Pretty bummed out by this location. I don't know if stonefire is a chain or not but the one by my house is far better. Ordered a tri tip chopped salad to go as it's my favorite thing on the menu. They forgot the dressing for the salad, the chips on it were different than usual and stale, the lettuce was a different kind than usual. On top of that I'm finding stringy fibers of something in my food in every few bites that I'm taking. Truly one of my favourite restaurants! My husband and I have a Christmas party every year for about 100 people and I always use Stonefire for the catering, everyone seems to love it! I came here tonight because it is my son's favorite restaurant. He loves the pizza as well as the Mac and Cheese. The food is always consistent and the price is great. It's always clean and for the most of the time we get good service. This evening I came in with 2 kids and was sitting at a booth trying to entertain the 2 while making sure they both ate their food. One of the kids was only 2 and I was babysitting for the whole day so was learning what she would and would not eat. I have been stressed all week and have been emotionally exhausted. Then enters Zel who I have to say is one of the best employees at this establishment. She was friendly, warm and did extra to make our night wonderful. I watched her as she was constantly working and keeping everyone happy with her smile and service. Avoid this branch. Ordered the 22 inch "The Works" pizza and whoever worked on it needs work. The pizza looks pitiful at best and crust was soggy. The ribs and tri-tip steak combo looks like a kids meal. Ribs were dry and hard and tri-tip was far from tender. The Mac and cheese tasted like it came from a box. I don't think this place uses water filter or they need to upgrade their filtration system. Their water from the vending machines tasted like recycled water. 1 star for the people taking orders. Stonefire grill has been a go to place for my colleagues and I since it can accomodate big groups and has a good variety of food. Their salads come in different sizes and the prices are really good comparing to other places. You can also find the nutritional menu online to exactly see how much calorie, fat, protein and etc are in each of their items. Recently had food delivered from here and it was quite a large portion of food. We ordered the chicken and ribs for 2, which included, a half rack of ribs, half a chicken, a (not so) petite salad, and 4 breadsticks for $22! The ribs were okay. It wasn't falling off the bone but their marinade was tasty. We ordered the garlic lemon chicken and that was delicious! The salad was just okay. It had beans, lettuce, cheese, and some other items that was just fine with the dressing. The breadsticks were good though but it's hard to go wrong with fresh baked breadsticks covered in cheese! YUM! I took my recycling money and bought my husband and I dinner at Stonefire Grill. We both had a craving for some hard core meat. We both ordered the Petite Tri Tip; he chose the BBQ selection and I chose the butter garlic. We shared the sides of Garlic mashed potatoes and the garden salad. At first sight, I was a little disappointed with the portions of the Tri Tip but once we finished all of the other items i realized it was the perfect amount. The taste and flavor of both Tri tip's were great, nice and tender as well. The garden salad was fresh and crunchy and large enough to be shared. The garlic mashed potatoes were amazing, Best I've ever had. And those breadsticks, YUMMY. The only negative comment I had was the temperature of the hot items were stone cold, easily rectified with a microwave. I guess with inflation all portions shrunk by about 50%. But the worst part for us was the pickup process. We stood around with multiple staff (in red tshirt) and 2 leads (in blue shirt), walked past us multiple times, made eye contact but completely ignored us for about 10 minutes at the pickup counter. Then once someone came to help us, it took another 6-8 minutes to complete the pickup. By the time we received our orders, our food was cold, pizza was completely cold and hard. I was here Sunday with a friend. The staff was so helpful! They went out of there way to accommodate us. And the food was delicious.

This place is awesome. Whenever I'm unsure about where to eat, this is my go to. I can never go wrong with that decision. We usually get the petite pesto pasta, with a petite chicken and try tip combo. The combo comes with a side or salad and two breadsticks. This meal is enough to fill two people up. During this visit, I decided to try the Mac and cheese instead of the pasta, and I was not disappointed. It was delicious. I ordered a blueberry cheesecake to-go so I could eat at home and enjoy it over the next two days. The only thing that I would want them to improve on is consistency. I've been here multiple times, and only faced a consistency problem twice. Once, the pesto pasta had no flavor, but the staff immediately took care of the problem. The second time was the tri tip. It was cut differently from all the other times I came here, and tasted/ looked like brisket. I asked the staff and they assured me it was tri tip because they don't served brisket. I took their word for it, so we'll see how it is next time. read more

This place is such a disappointment.. told me to pick up food in 25 minutes went there in 30 to pick up the food ice cold .. asked for anything tasting like garlic on the pizza and then he recommended adding a garlic so I said sure but definitely didn't expect a WHOLE garlic on my pizza. My wife and I have either been to or taken out from StoneFire Grill in Irvine many times over the years. We went to StoneFire on Thursday, 8/27, for dinner at about 6:00 PM. They had outdoor seating only (which is why we decided to go to "dine-in"). All workers we saw were wearing masks and gloves. Ordering our food was same as always except they poured your drinks. Wife ordered a Tri-Tip Dinner and I ordered a Combo Tri-Tip and Ribs. Plenty of tables available on the patio; though, some were not shaded as well as others. The food was delivered to our table within expected time. Wife's dinner was very good. My ribs were a little over cooked (not as moist and fall off the bone as usual); but, not bad enough to send back. Service was very good until after everyone on the patio's food had been delivered; then, no one came out to check. After about 15 minutes of no one coming out, wife finally went inside to ask for a box and drink refills. read more

This restaurant is a staple among many people I know- and it's a staple for me! The service is always fantastic. The restaurant is clean with great lighting. A very large amount of tables which can easily accommodate larger groups. There is a large parking lot and there always seems to be more than enough parking. I have enjoyed almost every single thing I've eaten here. Salad portions are extremely generous so anything over a "petite" size means that you may have trouble finishing your meal. The tri-tip, salmon, and chicken are always excellent. Their house bbq sauce is self serve and amazing to dip bread sticks in. If you're not careful, it is easy to over-eat here! Be careful walking to the bathroom. It's close to the entrance to the kitchen and usually the floor is a bit slippery. I have noticed that staff often puts mats here but it's still worth watching your step. read more

Once you arrive, you order at the counter, and someone will bring your food to your table. Don't laugh at me but I LOVE Caesar Salads and I love the caesar dressing at stonefire because of how garlicky it is. I'm not the biggest fan of bbq, but he said it was amazing, so I decided to try it out. He got some sauce on the side because he said there wasn't enough on the sandwich. I declined to follow suit, since I figured it would be enough as it stood. I was wrong. When I got my sandwich, I couldn't see any sauce at all. The wrap tasted like a seasonless salad in a tortilla. I had to go fill up some containers of bbq sauce so that I could pour it all over my food. Needless to say, I wasn't at all impressed, and I should have ordered something else. I went today with my husband and son. We give 5 stars for the customer service. Two employees were a stand out-Jose and Luz. They were helpful and attentive. They came by to ensure everything was ok and when my husband dropped his water cup on the floor, Jose quickly cleaned it up without hesitation. Luz came by several times to ensure our dirty plates were picked up promptly. They even brought us to go packages without asking. Thank you for an outstanding experience. I give the food 4 stars. Plenty of parking in the Target shopping center and their lunch specials are always good and inexpensive. Win/win. We were able to quickly order and get our food. I got the pesto pasta with a side of their breadsticks and it arrived quickly plus it was good. Even though it was a lunch special with a lunch side portion, it was still huge. I wonder how big their regular entrees are?? Customer service was also good. This review is for their catering service. I found out last minute on Monday that we needed to have lunch catered for our company on Tuesday - less than 24 hours notice. We have a usual group of restaurants we order from but they wanted something new, and the place had to deliver. I called Stonefire Grill and was happy to hear that their Irvine location would deliver all the way to Anaheim. I was transferred to their catering department and quickly placed my order. So happy they were able to accommodate a large order on such short notice. We ordered their Elly's Choice combo for 35 people, and also a side of coleslaw, thinking it might not be enough food. The combo comes with chicken, tri-tip, a bbq chopped salad, mashed potatoes, and breadsticks. The price, even with the delivery fee was very comparable to the other places we order from, and we got so much more food! The overall consensus was everybody enjoyed it and they want me to order from Stonefire again. The tri-tip (I went with BBQ) was GREAT, very juicy, and had a wonderful flavor on it's own, without the BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce though, was also very tasty. Everybody loved it! The breadsticks were AMAZING and we had none left at the end of the day. The salad, cole slaw and mashed potatoes were also really good. The only thing that nobody really cared for was the chicken, I chose lemon garlic over BBQ, and it was very bland, had little flavor. Next time I would get BBQ chicken. We had about half of it leftover. My only other downside was when I placed the order I told them we were serving lunch at 11:30, so they said they would show up at 11:00 to setup. I was fine with that, but the delivery showed up at 10:40 and he was done setting up in about 10 minutes, so the food cooled off considerably by 11:30 when we served. Next time I will ask them to come later, lesson learned! The deliver guy, I THINK his name was Amir, was SO sweet, had a great personality, and was extremely helpful and nice to work with. A few problems I had with this place for my first time visit. The food for my party came relatively fast but mine took a really long time. My coworker finished her meal before I even got mine. When I got my food, they had gotten my order wrong. I got garlic chicken instead of BBQ which I ordered. I had quinoa for my side and it took a really long time to come out as well. It came after I had finished my entree. With that said, they will receive a 4 star from me because the chicken I got was actually very delicious even though my order was wrong. And when they realized they gave me the wrong order and that it took so much time for me to receive my food, they apologized sincerely and gave me a gift card for my next return. I believe I got the back luck for my first visit but the costumer service and management was good and I can honestly let the minor mistakes slide for that reason. read more
