The cutest coffee place with great coffee AND great food! I had a hot caramel macchiato that was done perfectly, and we also split some amazing pastries. This place is so charming and the service was great- everyone was friendly and answered questions for us.

Stomp'n Grounds is a must stop in Hermann for any coffee lover! It's a cute shop with plenty of seating inside as well as outside. There are tons of drink and food options. I got the honey lavender iced latte to drink and a breakfast burrito to eat. Both came out very fast and tasted great!

The staff and service were great and the food was pretty good too. Wasn't the best breakfast burrito and coffee I've ever had but makes for a good breakfast so I can't complain. I'd come again.

Met my daughter there for coffee and chai tea, which were both tasty. Got a little nibble to eat as well. The line was out the door but it was fairly. we found a table on patio.. there were lots of cobwebs around, but it was a very nice place.

Cute little place in the heart of Herman MO, great atmosphere, we sat outside on the patio, ordered breakfast burritos, they were good but had a bit of a bite, definitely recommend loading it with gravy! It's a place you take menus and then go order at the cashiers area! We will prob eat here again tomorrow. They have a lunch menu but we came for breakfast. Specialty drinks were good as well!

Huge cinnamon rolls, wide array of coffee choices, and good biscuits and gravy. Like real biscuits and gravy with lots of pepper and sausage. Don't miss this place for breakfast!

The Bacon, egg, and cheese Croissant Breakfast Sandwich was very good! Came with fresh fruit on the side. Will definitely go back again.

It is very romantic and extremely picturesque. Make sure you check my review on the Winery to see the rest of the photos. The service and the food. This place, though it isn't indicated anywhere, stopped seating after lunchtime and took a break between 2 pm and 4 pm. They weren't kicking diners out, but also wouldn't seat anyone till 4. This is a bit of a shock for those just trying to get a late lunch and missed the 2 pm deadline by a few minutes. There is no other close option for snacks or something of the like. And unfortunately, the attitude was very much of a... "well, sorry that you weren't prepared!" We almost didn't return, but we wanted a specific item off the menu. And to rate this place! (Just dropped my rating to 3 stars from 4 as I think of this. When we did return in time for dinner, the same person who didn't recognize us at all cheerfully greeted and seated us. The waitress was very good and knew her stuff. Even so far as to suggest a specific wine with my dinner when asked. The food - This is the main thing that lost a star. It was OK. I chose the German Trio, thinking of getting a little of everything. And, I did. However, when it says smaller portions (see menu picture), they mean it! There was a smallish brat, an incredibly small and overcooked piece of schnitzel (pictured), and lastly some overcooked pork with a sauce all over it. I believe they get away with serving this kind of food for several reasons. a.) The sauce is amazing! And yes, it is on lots of the food or on the side as you wish. b.) The winery has a trolley that runs to it. So many visitors are "trapped" till it returns, so a place to eat makes sense. Also, the place's main concern is wine. The average customer is at least lightly sauced and will view this as the best meal ever because they are going to remember the sauce! Those of you who typically read my reviews often times know that I give each venue the benefit of a doubt and will go eat at them a few times to ensure it wasn't just a fluke. But not this time. I found nothing extremely redeeming other than the convenience of eating right after drinking a bunch of wine. This place touts itself as one of the premier, old school, and fancy restaurants in Hermann. It is not. Pick one of the others and have a better meal.

I had driven through Hermann plenty of times but never stopped until April 29, 2026. Now I'm wondering why I waited so long. Right away, this place stands out--vending machines outside stocked with their own brats (available anytime) and a dog-friendly patio. Already a win. Inside, we were greeted by owner Mike Sloan, who took the time to walk us through everything. That level of hospitality sets the tone. The staff was fantastic, and while waiting for our food (which came out quickly), we checked out their in-house products and free samples--impressive doesn't even begin to cover it. Food highlights: Reuben on rye (daily special): incredible "Best of Show Bratwurst": must-order German potato salad: better than what I've had in Baden-Baden Smoked gouda pasta salad + traditional potato salad: both excellent After talking with Mike, it's clear why everything is so good--this is passion-driven craftsmanship. He even competes in Germany and regularly wins top honors. Bottom line: Don't skip this place. Hermann Wurst Haus is the real deal.

Our server Chris who also goes by Grandma was super attentive all night and made sure our experience was memorable. I followed her recommendation and was super pleased! The steak frites were mouth watering and I'm still thinking about the delicious chimichurri. Tried a bite of the spaetzle with lobster my fiance ordered, so good, hard to decide what to order next time! Topped it off with the made to order apple pie, wow, so good and piping hot with ice cream. Hard to beat. Thank you so much for an amazing evening and hope to visit and see you all again soon!

Being in a German town, we had been looking for some good German food, so I was very pleased to see sauerbraten on the menu. The mashed potatoes were the best part of the plate. The fried cabbage lack seasoning and flavor, but the most disappointing part of the meal was the Sauerbraten. I sent it back to the Cook and the manager to see if they could cut the meat. It was literally impossible to cut with a knife and the idea of even chewing it became impossible. Now when I complain at a restaurant I never do it with the intention of receiving any kind of consideration off of the check. However, our waiter came back to tell me that the sauerbraten had been taken off of the bill. I explained that wasn't necessary and went ahead and paid the bill. Interestingly, the sauerbraten had not been removed from the Bill and I paid the $64 bill allowing for a decent tip for our waiter. My suggestion is find another place in town to eat.

I have mixed feelings about this place because it started out very frustrating, with parking, a small waiting area, and a cranky host. It ended on a good note, however. I'll start off by saying that parking was really frustrating, because we had to drive around the block several times before we were able to find something that opened up. I realize that many businesses share this street, and want to point out that this is not the fault of 4th Street Pizza. Inside, it was very crowded with many people waiting. The area is so small that it wasn't easy to open the door. Once we got in, it took about 10 minutes for someone to take our name for the waiting list. She was very cranky, but later I would come to understand why. We were told of a 45-minute wait and that we could wait outside if we liked, where they would call our name when ready. We waited on a bench and saw a lot of people come and go who got there after us. Thankfully, my fiancé asked them about it, and they seated us right away. I think they forgot about us. Once we were seated, the service was very slow to start. Our appetizer got there in a decent amount of time, but the pizza took forever, and our drinks sat empty. Once the pizza arrived, it was huge and tasted great! Are drinks continuing to sit empty? Normally, my rating would be low for a situation like this, but then I realized that our server was working all the tables in there and had only one bus person for help! I can see why the server was cranky. I would have been too if I were the only server at a busy restaurant during rush hour. This entire restaurant had only one restroom that looked like it had not been cleaned since the Bicentennial. Again, it is probably a staffing issue. We would definitely go again to experience the pizza.
