We came here recently for breakfast, and both my husband and I had a very tasty omelet. The food is a good option for breakfast if you're in town. However, this place is cramped for seating, or if you are unfortunate like I was, you will have a waitress drop something behind you. Out own waitress was fine, but she didn't come often to our table, but others came by. Someone, and I assume maybe the owner had a little girl running around, and I feared she might trip a waitress or someone with a food tray. I'm not sure she's always there, but considering the size of the place it was a bit erratic for us to stay long.

Insanely Delicious Food. Whether you get savory or sweet. I love that all the sweet options still have eggs and sausage so you'll still get some savory with your meal. My wife got the Biscuits and Gravy ($10), and I got the Pancake Balls (Aebleskivers, $14). We ended up sharing food which was perfect. To be 100% honest and in all seriousness, and to be taken WITHOUT any grains of salt: this food is some of the best I've ever had. I was stuffed but my mouth couldnt resist and said "just one more bite" and i kept doing that over and over until I was so stuffed I had to tell myself to stop or I wouldn't be able to leave the restaurant. A restaurant this good in Hermann MO just shouldn't exist. It would make more sense if this was in New York City and plates were $40 each. I'm very impressed is all I can say.

The service was incredible -- friendly, fast, and made us feel right at home. Everything we ordered tasted so fresh with homemade jams. It's the kind of breakfast that makes you slow down and enjoy every bite. If you're in Hermann, start your morning here, you won't be disappointed!

This place was amazing. We got the aebleskivers for an appetizer, then shrimp and grits and the breakfast snack stack for an entree. Everything was so delicious. Our waitress, Tiffany, was really busy but still provided excellent service. Would recommend this place for brunch or lunch every time! The actual waitlist time was long but we just went to surrounding shops while we waited. 10/10

We stopped by this place on a Sunday at lunchtime. It's a sweet space with a welcoming staff. We enjoyed the experience very much! We had a bigger group so there was a wait for the food, however the food was PHENOMENAL. Top notch chef here and I would go so far as to say one of the best meals I've ever had. Having lived in bigger cities with a heavy foodie scene, this is a bold (but accurate) statement for me to make! We were incredibly impressed with all the meals served.

Been to Hermann many times first time trying Ainsley's Place. Service was very solid, smallish menu but nice variety. We had the Eggs Benedict and the Aebleskivers and enjoyed both.

Special of the day, Corned beef hash with eggs and hash browns. Aebleskivers are like pancake balls.

Great unique selection of breakfast and lunch items. Service is warm and friendly. Servings are generous and fairly priced. Cosy dining area with seven tables. Definitely the to go spot in Hermann for breakfast or lunch.

I tried the Brunch Burger with no aioli sauce, and it was so good! It came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. I also got a flight, and it was really good, especially on a hot day. We still wanted to at least try a slushy to go. The slushy service was quick for it being so busy, we got our slushies pretty fast and headed to our next stop, but the slushes just weren't our favorites either. The Honey Lavender Lemonade flavor had no other flavor than just vodka. The Strawberry Amaretto Shortcake was ok, it was just so sugary that there wasn't much flavor other than overpowering sweetness. The price was definitely a little high too for what we got in the end for two medium-sized slushes. The vibe seemed cute, so we want to come back and give it another shot one day for the food at least! Maybe some different slush flavors too.

When we arrived, the restaurant did seem a little understaffed, so service was slower than usual, but thankfully I had made a reservation and we had no trouble getting seated. Even with the wait, the staff was kind and doing their best, which was totally understandable. I ordered the Zydeco pasta with crawfish, and we also shared the jambalaya casserole. Both dishes were fantastic. The pasta was basically like a rich, flavorful lobster mac & cheese -- absolutely delicious. The jambalaya casserole was topped with this amazing cheesy sauce that made it even better. The restaurant itself was such a cute spot, with way more seating than I expected, including an adorable patio in the back. Overall, such a charming place with amazing comfort food. Definitely a spot I'd come back to 100%.

The dining area was clean with a nice stamped concrete floor, had loads of natural light with huge windows in the back, and it had a beautiful New Orleans mural in the back. We wished for a bigger dish for the small cups of gumbo and red beans and rice because they were so good! I'm sure they'd come a bit more seasoned or spicer in the south, but in MO, they seemed to tame it down a bit - still delicious though! (And there are two hot sauces and a Cajun spice blend at the table.) The wedge salad with the homemade blue cheese dressing was delicious!! I'd order the dressing on the side though - our salad was swimming a bit... Enjoy your stop!!

Being in a German town, we had been looking for some good German food, so I was very pleased to see sauerbraten on the menu. The mashed potatoes were the best part of the plate. The fried cabbage lack seasoning and flavor, but the most disappointing part of the meal was the Sauerbraten. I sent it back to the Cook and the manager to see if they could cut the meat. It was literally impossible to cut with a knife and the idea of even chewing it became impossible. Now when I complain at a restaurant I never do it with the intention of receiving any kind of consideration off of the check. However, our waiter came back to tell me that the sauerbraten had been taken off of the bill. I explained that wasn't necessary and went ahead and paid the bill. Interestingly, the sauerbraten had not been removed from the Bill and I paid the $64 bill allowing for a decent tip for our waiter. My suggestion is find another place in town to eat.

Located in a repurposed grain elevator at the entrance to historic downtown, right across from the Amtrak station and near the banks of the Missouri River, this restaurant makes great use of its picturesque space. Needless to say, we had high hopes. Everything at Tin Mill is crafted towards a wonderful experience: prompt, friendly service, low lighting and low ceilings to create an intimate dining setting, a wide range of local (as in, right-across-the-street local) whiskey, wine, and beer selections, and delicious food choices. My only complaint is really self-directed: I wish I had paid more attention to the separate lunch and dinner menus. In practice, I guess that means we'll need to drive back to try the prime rib next time. My wife and I started with drinks and appetizers while narrowing down the best main plate for a chilly fall afternoon. I opted for the whiskey flight, which include four local bourbon and rye samples. I tend to prefer rye, but my personal favorite was probably the Black Shire Bourbon (disclaimer: they were all great and you really can't go wrong as a casual whiskey fan, in my opinion). The bread starter was an excellent appetizer served with an ample helping of creamy butter. We try to make a rule not to fill up on bread at the start of a meal, and we luckily managed to exercise self-control once again. Torn between something we thought might be a bit lighter and healthier and something we knew we would be immediately satisfying, we finally went for the latter. I ordered the Deep Fried Chicken Sandwich and my wife tried the Brisket Grilled Cheese. The menu names and descriptions already let you know what to expect, but I did enjoy the chicken's crispy texture along with the flavor combo of curried aioli and apple slaw topping. Hermann has so many cool boutique stores, coffeehouses, and restaurants to try and we're excited to make our trip out an anniversary tradition. Tin Mill is worth checking out if you find yourself celebrating a special occasion or looking for a nice lunch on your way through town.
