Love some Cajun food and this place didn't disappoint. We got a bowl of gumbo to share as the starter. It was thick and rich with nice chunks of andouille and chicken. Very good. I had a shrimp poboy that had some nice large shrimp. Very good, only thing would be a better bun to handle the insides (tad crumbly). Cornbread was very good. Also had a Hurricane from the bar and they did not pour a weak Drink. I'd definitely be a regular if I lived there.

Friendly and prompt service. A good selection of wine. The fried oysters and especially the jambalaya casserole were delicious. Costs are very reasonable. If I didn't live so far away I'd be a regular here. I'd be surprised if there is a better restaurant in Hermann.

Zydeco is a hidden Cajun gem right in the middle of Missouri! Honestly, I never expected to find such amazing Cajun food in a town known for its German history, but I'm so glad we stopped here. We went early on a Saturday evening for dinner, and the food completely blew us away...it was that goooooooood. We started with the pickle coins, a cup of gumbo, and crawfish bisque. Everything was very flavorful. For the main course, we had the shrimp po' boy and fried chicken with red gravy and both were absolutely delicious. I had never tried the cajun red gravy so it was fun to explore a new dish and it did not disappoint. We savored every bite. The place had a fun, lively vibe, and our server was super friendly and checked on us with lot of care. Everything from the food to the cleanliness to the service was spot on. If you're ever in Hermann, then definitely eat at Zydeco. You won't regret it!

Im not from here & have tried a few places around THIS PLACE STOLE MY HEART!! I still cannot breathe from being unable to stop myself. ATM the menu is creole inspired & we had the Zydeco pasta (I could not get enough, my friend & I asked for our silverware to be confiscated). Best fried chicken I've ever had, the red gravy it's paired with is drinkable. The cornbread was perfect, not too sweet. The pickle coins were breaded to perfection & paired perfectly with the roumalade (you could also ask for homemade ranch). Our server Grant was so attentive, & also packed our bag of food up for us before leaving. I've never ordered so many things at once & loved them all. Beautiful experience & will be making several trips back specifically for this place. We essentially had 4 courses & drinks. Definitely a value for four courses. Whoever created this menu is an absolute genius!

Grabbed dinner at Zydeco while in Hermann. It was decently busy, I'd definitely recommend a reservation on Friday or Saturday night. We had been drinking all day, so we opted for water and followed our server's recommendations for dinner. We got the shrimp po body and crawfish ettuffee. Both were very good and I would order either again! Glad we got a chance to eat here

We hoped it would be great, but stir fry dish w/ shrimp was a giant salt ball. Only decent item @ our table was their soup w/ cornbread. *Appetizer (not shown) of crawfish was $10... it's quite small, mostly battered tiny pieces w/ sauce that work w/ it. There are better places in town.

Heard good things about this restaurant and had to try. Drinks. Are. Strong. You get your monies worth! Tasty yet strong. Hubby had the pasta dish and loved every bite was our server's favorite dish and obvious why. I had the fried oyster po' boy. A little bit heavy on the breading but the baguette made up for it. Sweet potato are a must. Service was on point and quick. Super pleased to have this option in a town of German food.

Service was great! Drinks were awesome. Beware it's Creole and it's spicy. Very delicious.

What a surprise to find delicious Cajun food in a German wine town. We highly recommend eating here and then calling for a trolley pick up.

Though I'll speak well…read moreof this place, the cost/value of this place - will (still) have me endorsing Krustaceans in Columbia. The seafood at this place, was cooked very very good. The quality of the seafood was a very clean tasting seafood. Even the shrimp had a nice clean flavor. And we're you looking for butter? Oh, they do (not) spare the sticks of butter at this place! The potato. Oh yes, I said "potato". I have never had a seafood bowl - have (just) a single potato. The potato tasted absolutely great. But 1 potato? That was a joke - especially after you see what these items cost! The garlic butter: There was plenty of butter. Tye flavoring of the butter, certainly was unique of sorts. Seemed to have (possibly) a chili powder base. And though I thought it was good...I also got tired of the taste, after a bit. The Big Downer at this place: Cost. You see my (2) platters. Add (3) cans of Coke - the cost was $150.00. Yes, that's correct: $150.00. Sure, there's a whole lobster on one of the platters. BUT, it wasn't that big by any means. And let's remember: 1 potato was included in the platter. 1 small red potato, came with it; at that price! Lol. Conclusion: Krustaceans is where you should go - for the seafood boiler platters. A much better combination of quality, value and price.

There is almost always a wait but tonight we got seated pretty quick. The menu has quite a bit to choose from and unfortunately I feel like the prices have gone up and the quantity doesn't match what you are paying for. I ordered the fried shrimp. I asked for fries instead of the rice & beans. For $17.50 I'm expecting 8-10 shrimp...I got 5. They gave me the rice & beans and when they brought out the missing fries, they were stone cold. I was informed that since I didn't get the fries originally there, would be no substitution charge and that the rice & beans were on the house. My husband ordered the jambalaya entree that came with cornbread and a salad. Cornbread was a sliver but it appears he had the best meal of the night. Our friends ordered the chicken sandwich and it came with stone cold fries. The other ordered a burger that came without the cheese he requested (then was charged for asking for it) and stone cold fries. All fries were discarded and fresh ones brought out after awhile. 1 out of the 4 meals ordered was the only thing that turned out right. I kinda expected an apology or something for all the issues with our meals but nothing. The company we had was great. The dining experience was a let down.

The shrimp po'boy had very thinly sliced pickles to cut through the remoulade (solid condiment by the way), with crisp, well-seasoned shrimp on a crisp, fluffy, grilled roll. Since there were no clams, I went for the Catfish Basket. The Catfish Basket had multiple catfish fritters, steak fries and two hush puppies. The steak fries were cut fat and thick and I liked the seasoning. For me, they could have been crispier. The Hush Puppies were good, but I was disappointed when I saw a box of Classic Hush Puppies being delivered by their supplier. Homemade Hush Puppies are so much more flavorful. They've been promoting, Barq's Creme Soda on FB and Creme Soda was a favorite when I was growing up, so I couldn't resit ordering one. It was cool, refreshing and brought back flashes of memories.
