We stopped in Kingdom City on one of our regular trips between Columbus and Denver. My favorite bbq place in Kingdom City is closed on Monday and Tuesday, so I turned to Yelp to see what my fellow Yelpers recommended. The Fulton Diner came highly recommended and we decided to try takeout (the wife is still trying to avoid "dining in"). Wife had the Philly cheesesteak with broccoli cheddar soup and for a buck, she upgraded from the regular to the deluxe which included fries. The portions were large and we were especially amazed at the size of the bowl of soup. She said her meal was excellent. I had the Patty melt with broccoli cheddar soup and I also upgraded to "deluxe" which includes fries. NOTE - you can also substitute a salad for the soup. My meal was also excellent. As I said, we did takeout and our order was ready exactly when they said it would be. The service was excellent and the server was extremely friendly and efficient. I have a new (another) favorite restaurant to patronize when traveling between Columbus and Denver. read more

We have gone to Fulton Diner several times and found it to be an outstanding place. Delicious food, friendly people, and an overall pleasant experience. We live in Jefferson City about 35 miles from there, but oh so worth the drive. A very extensive menu, so a great many choices to pick from. Not a pretentious place, just down home goodness. The food was basic breakfast fare. The service was friendly.the restaurant was a little dated and rundown.

Nice little "just off the highway" location. Good breakfast, a little over done on the English muffin so just ask for lightly toasted, but overall cooked perfectly. Coffee is Farmer Brothers, Cottage cheese is quite tasty! Table was sticky and when asked if they could wipe it she left it wet. That's always frustrating. Food gets a 5, Service gets a 2. Nice but you can tell no the girls don't want to work. read more

Traveling through Missouri when we were wanting breakfast. Several low rated restaurants right on the exit led us a few miles down the road to this charming local diner. Saturday morning had the seats mostly full but we were quickly seated in a booth. Our waitress was precious and eager to please! It wasn't long before our table was full of plates rich with scrumptious food!! The hash browns were cooked perfectly, my country omelet filled with plenty of meat and real cheese, grilled cinnamon raisin toasted and a large fluffy pancake. Soooo gooood. Oh and did i mention they use real butter?...none of that fake stuff. On the way out, I did peek in the pie fridge....oh we'll be back next time we drive through! read more

If I could give them an extra half star, I would. You get a lot of food for the money. We goth had the Wallye fish and it was pretty good. We got a good size salad, side and I was allowed to have the fettuccine instead of a potato.... I wanted to try it out and it was good. We will have to try it for breakfast sometime. Excellent place for breakfast all day and pie or cheesecake! We had the gyro skillet (ask for the tzatziki sauce) and the Dodd's Special which comes with double bacon (it seemed like it was low sodium bacon but fixed it with Louisiana sauce!) We ate it all then ate some dessert! I enjoyed a pumpkin spice cheesecake cake & he got the banana cream pie! We will return if we are ever in the area again! read more

The food was good, especially the fried chicken. However, be warned, they don't really serve breakfast all day. Waffles stop at 1pm. My husband ordered a waffle and the waitress said nothing, even though it was 12:50. Turns out, after all our food was delivered except the waffle, that the waitress assumed the cook would see the ticket and not turn off the waffle iron. Wrong. So we were basically done eating and still waiting on a waffle to be cooked. The menu needs to not say breakfast all day or they need to make the waffle section say that it ends at 1pm in a larger, bold font. Plus the staff should tell the cook right away if they take an order so close to the cutoff time. This waitress was really not on the ball because our food was brought by other people and most drink refills were also done by others. read more

Below average diner in my opinion. Tonight I ordered a Ruben, deluxe mind you. Deluxe meant extra meat, apparently that means one slice. The meat reminded me of that "slick meat" you get for cheap in a pouch. I also received my thousand island sauce in a salad dressing packet on the side. Classy, right? Also I believe there was water added to the ketchup at my table, it almost looked carbonated. I'm not sure if they keep their salad lettuce soaking in water all day, then put it in your bowl because it was also very watery. To add onto that the ranch dressing came out of the disposable cup like water. Apparently everything has H2O for added flavor. The water I got to drink was good though. I am a Fulton transplant from the Portland Oregon/Vancouver Washington area. I have eaten at many great restaurants, and The Fulton Diner can compete with them all. The three egg breakfasts are reasonably priced, and very tasty. I have also never had a bad burger there either. Their spaghetti and chicken dinner is too die for but will take a bit longer to get, it is worth the wait. The staff, and owners are very friendly and attentive. I've never had an empty beverage no matter what it was. This is a very inexpensive and wonderful place to eat. Since this is our go to place. I might see ya their soon. An exceptional diner that could make it in a larger city, you must be impressed for a Fulton based operation! The skillet meals are well prepared a little skimpy on the meat but good. We have tried this diner twice. The first time the food and service were terrible. The second time was to give it another chance. Each time was a huge disappointment. Potatoes taste like they are from a box, meat was the consistency and taste of those premade cheap burgers you buy in a box to say the very least. read more
