I guess under new staff, they changed the menu and no longer serves the Louisville's staple, The Hot Brown! This Hot Brown was 2nd only to the original Hot Brown served at the Brown Hotel, (5 star hotel) to which is a bit too fancy for me to dine. The Brown is a open face (fresh smoked turkey) sandwich with bacon, tomatoes, cheese and mornay sauce. Just delicious! Many have tried with their poor attempts which is often imitated but never duplicated correctly.

After being sat, it took a few minutes for our server to get to us, but drinks made the scene shortly thereafter. I opted for a pumpkin pancake, scrambled eggs, apple turkey sausage, and we split some pumpkin donut holes + millionaire bacon. My compatriots had the breakfast hash scrambles. It was overall good, but kind of a mixed bag. The donut holes and bacon were very good. The eggs were eggs and good. The pancake has decent flavor but was like 2 layers vs one fluffy item, so it was just okay. And the apple turkey sausage was trash, F-, not even edible. I'm sure that stuff is somebody's jam, but not mine. So overall it was a good brunch prior to hitting the road. I'd recommend trying their seasonal offerings, getting in before the noon crowd, and skipping turkey sausage.

They only do breakfast and lunch and close around 2:30 so make sure you get there early enough. We were sat immediately, and ordered our drinks. The menu is mostly breakfast with the lunch menu being much smaller in comparison. We both decided to get the half sandwich and half salad and share some million dollar potatoes. I ordered the Roast Beef and havarti which is Roast beef, Horseradish Havarti cheese, house-roasted onions and tomato with lemon-dressed arugula on grilled Parmesan-crusted sourdough. It also has horseradish sauce on the side. She ordered the Ham and Gruyère which is Smoked Ham, fresh Tomato and melted Gruyere cheese with Dijonnaise on grilled Challah Bread. We both ordered a Chicken Avocado Chopped Salad which has hopped romaine and arugula, all-natural sliced chicken breast, avocado, diced tomatoes, crunchy corn, black beans and Feta cheese with citrus chipotle dressing. Everything was amazing! The sandwiches were to die for, and don't even get started on how good those potatoes are! Super crispy potatoes with Parmesan cheese sauce, and bacon? You can't go wrong!!! The only disappointment is that our salad only had two little baby pieces of avocado on the side. I think if you're gonna have an avocado chop salad with avocado in the name... there should be a lot more avocado chopped up into the salad. But that roast beef sandwich was so good. I'll definitely be back for another one and I really wanna try their breakfast.
