Great little breakfast/lunch spot on the East edge of Bexley. We showed up on Mother's Day about 10:30. Maybe a 15 min wait but it was worth it! Friend had challah french toast; I had spinach & feta omlette with added bacon and hash browns. Threw on some black pepper and every bite was perfectly seasoned and a perfect blend of eggs, veggies, bacon, cheese and hash browns! Everyone seemed to be chowing down Friendly and efficient wait staff. Can't wait to try lunch there on my next trip to Cbus. read more

We ate breakfast at Stav's Diner this morning, kind of by default. We are so glad we ended up there! We actually had planned on going somewhere else but had to run a couple errands early on a Saturday morning, and when we finished, it was later than we had planned and the other place was too far, so we checked our handy YELP! app to see what was nearby and decided to go to Stav's. We got there around 9:45ish and they were just cleaning off the only open table, which we took. There were several seats at the counter that were also available. Our server came and greeted us and took our drink order and was back in 2 minutes, ready to take our orders. I was ready but he wanted to look over the menu for a few minutes. When she checked back, we were both ready. I ordered the pancakes & added fresh blueberries, with 3 slices of bacon & 2 eggs. He ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg on top with fries. My pancakes arrived and there were 3 of them with the fresh blueberries in the pancakes, so they were warm and not cold and sprinkled on top of the pancakes. As I put the real butter in the pancakes, it slid down the pancakes as it melted. I couldn't wait to cut them, add some syrup and dig in! I was not disappointed! They were hot, delicious and perfectly cooked! The eggs were scrambled and also cooked perfectly. Scrambled eggs are not difficult to cook perfectly but lots of places/people over cook them and mess them up. Not this guy! They were great! And the 3 pieces of perfectly cooked crispy bacon were also excellently cooked! There was not a single thing that wasn't done perfectly! My husbands' sneak was great too. His bacon cheeseburger with the egg was great too. It came with lettuce, tomato, pickle & onion but he got his with no onion & no pickle. His egg was over medium so there was still some yolk. The bun was grilled on the flattop, which was a nice touch. He bit into his burger and with the many layers, the runny yolk and the cheese, it was kind of slippery, but he said it was so good and he would definitely order it again, along with those delicious crinkle cut fries! The food isn't the only wonderful thing about this place. As we looked over at the open kitchen and grill, we noticed how clean it was. We looked at the light fixtures and ceiling fans, the pictures and picture frames and the wall molding and herd was no dust. No dust anywhere! The floors were clean, the tables were cleared quickly, and everything moved along like a well oiled machine. No complaints from this girl! We will definitely be back sooner than later! read more

The food here is marvelous. My oldest son said they were the best hash browns he's ever had. The pancakes and French toast was delicious and finally a place that knows how to make bacon crispy the first time you ask for it. The music is fun and the ambiance is amazing. But what makes this a 5-star place is the service. Charlie was a gracious server, helping us with everything you needed and she clearly knew who the regulars were, calling out 75% of the customers who walked in by name. If the area regulars are eating here, you know it's going to be good. And it was. Would stop again if I'm in the area. read more

We eat at stavs a couple times a week! It is family owned, the staff is great and the food is always perfect. My son is their youngest regular! Some tips: -not great for groups. Mostly bar seating, a couple 2 tops and 2 3 tops. -much busier on the weekend, but if you have to wait for a seat it doesn't take too long. Stav is quick and mans the grill everyday! -be patient with the wait staff. They are doing a lot, flipping tables quickly and respond better to kindness (as all humans do! Great service, with smiles and good mornings... Sat at the counter and marveled the the grill cook didn't once bump his head on the overhead! This morning they were playing "Jackie blue radio" on Pandora.. Steely Dan, Boston, great music! Ordered coffee (hot, typical restaurant coffee) and a Bacon Lettuce Tomato and Egg sandwich (over medium on wheat) with a side of hash browns and sausage... I was hungry and knew I wouldn't get to eat again until dinner due to flight schedules... The sandwich was awesome, crisp tender toast perfect bacon and just a little runniness to the yolk... Perfect! The hash browns were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside and the sausage was perfectly cooked, not dried out pucks! If ever in Columbus again I will definitely breakfast here, or try lunch even (which is also served all day)! read more

The place was very busy. It took the staff a little while to get to us. The waitress was friendly and personable. We got a large salad. It was good but the hard boiled egg wasn't cooked all the way through. The ranch was from a bottle. I expected a little more from a quaint diner. Also got the S.O.S, which was a special of the day. It was ok. The eggs with it on the toast was different as it's always been a lunch item to me not breakfast. Also got an English muffin. They only had grape jelly. read more

Because of my culinary background a lot of times I find it difficult to find good food in restaurants.... if it taste as good as or better than mine I am pleased in this case the French toast was better than mine.... their drip coffee was also very good... not very acidic but bold.... my wife had the scrambled eggs sausage and hashbrowns which were also very good... The reason for one less star... my coffee cup ran empty!.... was busy when we came in... By the time my coffee cup was empty wasn't so busy... Otherwise the food is very good... Today was our first time here and our food was fantastic!! We didn't have to wait for a seat at around 10:45 on a Sunday, but there were periods where it got pretty busy. They get people in and our quickly, but you don't feel rushed at all! Everything we had was delicious and affordable!! It is true that there is only the bar space and 2 person tables, but some outside seating when weather is nice too!! We will definitely come back and are excited to try lunch too because the lunch menu looks delicious!! This place has been added to my breakfast/brunch rotation. Staff is very personable and the food is always delicious. Delicious little hidden gem!. This was a first for my co workers and I who we all had a little bit of everything. Chipped beef gravy, omelette, chili dog and Ruben!. I read great reviews on Yelp, and Stav's did not disappoint. A real hometown local diner. Staff knows all the regulars, and everyone is kind and social. Per another reviewer's recommendation, I went with the gyro omelette with no onions. At the suggestion of the counter attendant, I also added spinach. I subbed corn beef hash instead of the standard hash browns. It did not disappoint. Nice fluffy eggs, plenty of spinach and feta. It was a little light on the actual gyro meat, but the flavor was wonderful anyway. The corned beef hash on the side was also a winner. They prep everything to order right across the counter from you, so if they're busy, I'm sure it can take time. I watched the cook slice meat and crack eggs while making friendly conversation with me. Very clean work area and he changed gloves as he prepped different types of ingredients. I was just passing through town and headed to the airport. But next time I'm here, this will definitely be a must do stop. read more

This diamond in the rough is must try for anyone who eats food. A small diner run by a Greek family means you get the family treatment as soon as you walk in. I've almost tried half the menu and so far everything is delicious!
