Super friendly staff. I was greeted as soon as I opened the door. I was redeeming stars and the cashier didn't know how to do it so the manager came to help. She was very nice about showing both the cashier and me how to redeem the stars. When my order was ready, the manager brought it to my table because she noticed that I am handicapped. Very thoughtful of her. My drink had a note on it that said "Good Morning" with a happy face. Nice way to start the day!! read more

This Starbucks location was amazing. I was here for awhile since I was waiting for my car to be ready. Staff was friendly, and my brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso was to my liking. I also noted that the staff frequently wiped down the tables, and kept the place clean. If I'm ever in the area again, would definitely come back here. read more

Five stars for Starbucks Mercer, especially since Sid came and brought some much needed leadership to the property. I live upstairs and enjoyed going to this property every day for years during my pregnancy and during the pandemic. I made a financial sacrifice because I saw it as an investment in my community and mental health and well being. Since having a child I cut back on Starbucks to save money. We adopted out 70 dogs throughout the pandemic and met many of the happy adopting family's at this starbucks. I am writing this review to bring attention to a problem that is hurting your employees and hurting your loyal client base. Ubber eats is able to place orders with no limitations. Yesterday I had a bad day and wanted to treat myself to starbucks but when I got there SOMEONE HAD ORDERED 58 DRINKS through ubber eats. That is insane. I am the beverage manager for a hotel and for groups over 20 I encourage them to order "cocktail towers" or in the case of starbucks would maybe sway them towards a coffee bar with travelers and diy ice and cream. The fact that a neighboring company placed that order shows no respect for the neighborhood, the business or the customers. I will always be grateful to this store and the refreshers, the memories and cake pops. But COME ON! Ubber eats is being allowed to take advantage of this store and it's employees. Thank you for escalating this so the problem can be addressed. read more

At 6:20pm my husband and I attempted to go into the store (did not realize that store closed at 6pm). We were yelled at by the two young ladies behind the counter that we could not enter the store. I wouldn't have had to be yelled at if the doors were locked. Instead of yelling at potential future customers. I realize that such a large cooperation isn't going to hurt if they loose one customer but I am also fine with that. read more

I don't drink coffee, but love the black iced tea unsweetened. Whenever I need a little pick me up, I'll get one from this location. It is a larger store and lines move quickly, at least for my orders. I usually go for the largest cup of iced tea they have and even appreciate the straw-less lids they have for them now. I love coming to this location. I can get a drink and go. Fast service with friendly faces. This location is close to Target and the Walnut Creek Farmers Market. I can get Starbucks and walk around the Farmers Market. Here is my suggestion. If you tend to walk around the Farmers Market don't park in their parking garage. read more

Folks at this location are very friendly. I once came here by mistake to pick up a mobile order and they were kind enough to offer to make it for me. There have been small mistakes with my orders that the baristas correct in a professional, time manner. The baristas go out of their way to make you feel special. Additionally, the layout is nice and there's street parking right out front. I'm glad this store is so close to my work :-) read more

Every time I've come to this location I've had exceptionally kind service. The baristas here are attentive, make an effort to remember your name and drink order, and they churn out drinks very quickly on top of all that! New California St Starbucks - very easy to get to right off Ygnacio without having to fight through the heart of Walnut Creek downtown. Inside it's beautiful (for a Starbucks); nice seating, attractive lighting, and just that nice feeling when everything is fresh and new. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't crowded at all. I asked some questions of the barista about the Clover brewing machine. You can get Clover brewed coffee hot, iced, even with added syrup. Then she showed us how it works, and the result was fabulous - simply a great cup of coffee! Hats off for the special service. The one negative: parking. There's no dedicated parking lot, only street, metered parking. The meters do not take Sundays off, and they are weirdly designed. I fed in two quarters and nothing registered on the meter; I figured it was broken. It only registers after you feed it what it considers a satisfactory meal: at least 3 or 4 quarters. And that will only give you 30 minutes! Some reviews mention garage parking; perhaps they are referring to the Locust Street parking garage a block or so down. A little walk, but it may beat the meters. read more

Incorrect hours online first off, and second off, staff are rude! Closed at 1:30pm today and was ONLY accepting mobile orders, so I get in the door at 1:28 with the Starbucks worker explaining this to me, and I asked, "so if I grab my phone in the car right now I can just order that way?" And he told me "yes, that's correct." So I run right out front and grab my phone and start putting my order in and then the guy informs me they shut their system down at 1:30, so if it doesn't accept my order, that's why! WTF!! Why wouldn't he just tell me that before I went through all that trouble?! And the whole time, the manager, Seth, is behind the counter with 3 other workers listening to this and not helping out. I work up the block and every time I come in, I'm greeted with a smile and a nice conversation. Love this Starbucks! They are always friendly and fast to make my order. My pup loves them too! This is a great starbucks located on my way into work so it is a super easy stop! There is some street parking in front of the store and garage parking in the same area. The street parking is free till about 10 I believe so that's perfect for a stop in the morning. They are always so quick so you can count on a quick stop that wont make you late to work. Even though they are quick their quality and customer service is not lacking! There are always smiling faces which a great to start my morning off with. You can help but be in a great mood too! The friendliness and service at this Starbucks is great, and I've never had an issue with the beverages or food. The seating is comfy as well. The reason for 3 stars: the music. They do not play any calming/chill traditional coffeehouse music. I think that's become more and more a thing at Starbucks/coffee shops overall but when they play this loud, aggressive crap it affects the experience. I don't want to wear headphones while I'm here. If they play a good tune, it's sure to be followed soon by one that is grating on the ears. read more

Aside from the underground parking with very doable pricing (ranging from free to cheap), I frequent this Starbucks on weekdays (read: wear-a-gyal-down-with-that-workload-but-at-least-I-have-a-job-'cause-ain't-nothin'-goin'-on-but-the-rent... days) because of Eresha, Anthony and all of the other super-'Bucks-stars at this location. I haven't been as diligent about getting the names of the afternoon staff, but I'll whip that up on a tip, don't you worry your pretty little head. (Or whatever kind of head you have regardless of the aesthetic contribution it offers the world. Do you boo!) Whoever you interact with, just know that they'll know your name after only a few visits and will go the extra mile to make sure you get exactly what you wanted to order (even if you're one of those people who orders the wrong thing and then spazzes out on the employees as if it was their error. No, no, I'm sure that's never been you.) The space itself is surprisingly quaint and cozy but has never left me feeling like I'm crushed up against the patron to my left if I sit down at one of the tables. The nearby Starbucks on N. Main can get pretty raucous (um, go there immediately after school for enough visual and auditory birth control to last yourself a lifetime), so I was expecting the same from this 'Buckseroo. Not so much. There's not much long shared table seating, which I am definitely not complaining about. Hi, sorry, I don't know you and I don't need you spilling your crumbs (both those inside of your mouth and those that have formed a small anthill on the table) all over me and mines. I agree wholeheartedly with Angela Davis in her sentiments that prisons are obsolete, but some of y'all need solitary confinement--if only while eating, drinking, talking on the phone, pushing your 45-years-old-and-still-waiting-ass rap career off the ground, etc. But until that day comes and folks are courteous enough to lock themselves up in a cabinet at home for whatever time period they indulge in their favored behavior that straight up impedes on the personal space or sensory receptors of others, I'm glad this Starbucks is doing all it can to make sure we keep it together through the miracle drug known as caffeine while also making sure we stay out of each other's way through the miraculous layout. read more

A bit underwhelmed by my experience today. I asked for a grande soy flat white w a 3/4 milk fill line. Yes I know that seems a bit picky but I still don't think they've got the flat white down. While I wait I dip into the restroom and come back while they finish my drink. What do I see? The Baristo takes my drink and pours a quarter out and puts the lid on.... I was thinking now did he already pour the espresso in? Did he just dump my espresso and milk thinking that the 2 would magically separate? He looked at me and smiled said, thank you and went back to his business. I took the lid off to see that he had in fact just poured out part of my drink. Not wanting to fuss I decided to try it first and walked out. All I tasted was milk. My caffeine headache would not allow me to leave, therefore had to go back and ask if my drink in fact had 3 shots as it should. He sheepishly admitted that the other Baristo had forgotten to only fill 3/4 and offered to make a new drink. I'm glad they made me a new one, but if he had realized it was wrong in the first place, why try to cover it up hoping the customer wouldn't notice? read more

So I went a different Starbucks (who shall remain nameless) about 20 minutes towards the water and got a Dirty Chai. I headed for freeway, then the tunnel, and then the nearest exit - there was no DIRTY in my chai man! I was hot. Expecting to have to spend another $6 on another tea, I arrived at this Starbucks. The barista asked if she could get something started and noticed the half empty cup in my hand. She looked genuinely concerned but kind of stared in silence (look I know I look cray in line with a cup; I'm either a fiend or there to act a fool... but I digress). I told her, "it's not you, or this store..." and proceeded to explain my unsuccessful treasure hunt for the dirtiness that should have been in my cup. She asked for my cup and generously offered to make me another one. She finished by saying, "this should be dirty enough for you." Yassss! So now I'm here, hopped up on the most savory dirty chai, made by someone who owed me nothing, but had strong customer service skills, initiative and not to mention, kind AF. Oh bless you child. Wretched and rude. I guess I shouldn't stereotype, but this Starbucks reeks of the prototypical hypersensitivity and "all about me" attitude with which Californians are often painted. Something as simple as asking for your coffee without their environmentally ruinous "sticker" earns you a stern lecture that "nothing gets made without a sticker" from the not-so-ever-pleasant Avissa (yes, that's her name) behind the counter. When a response that a drink can certainly be made without a sticker, one is lectured that one shouldn't "be so abrasive". Oh well, clearly this individual's never been to the Northeast, where abrasive takes on a completely different meaning. I have been ordering the same drink here for MONTHS and have NEVER had a problem!!! This morning was horrible! I am not sure what the lady's issue was this morning but she left me extremely annoyed! I wanted my drink the way that I ordered and have no problem paying for what I want! I was never told that there's a .60 up charge for "heavy cream". AGAIN I have no problem with paying it! And she goes back to trying to explain to me how the drink is made and why there's an up charge. I say fine and move on. As she's making the drink she calls me over yet again to "explain".
