Retail therapy break... One great reason I chose here as we shopped at Waikele Premium Outlet on this Sunday is that while majority of the shops are closed here you can chill til' 9pm which we almost did. Walking in I admit it was COLD...brrrr! Not the biggest layout for the area which is why I usually don't stop here as they're always busy but as it already was late in the day and many shoppers have left it gave us room to chill literally. This Waikele location is slightly hidden as it's on the side with Old Navy and is right beside Sephora which has it's own little lot so you don't need to walk around the busy traffic. I think I came here once before while shopping at Waikele Outlets . Luckily I was there around 5:00am so it wasn't crowded yet .I've noticed this Starbucks is always crowded during the day especially on the weekends. A quick stop for a quick business meeting at 7:30 am. Because of the shopping center and stores don'tquite open yet, this is great and not too busy for work meetings, a great place to meet! The baristas are very friendly and helpful. The order comes out quickly and I don't have to wait too long. When I place my mobile orders, my mobile order is made quickly and accurately. Very clean, and drinks are prepared perfectly. This time, I got myself the Valentine Chocolate chip strawberry creme frappachino even if it wasn't on the board. Was filled to the top of the cup rim and presentation was nice. Place is small, but clean, but not too many tables inside, and only a very few tables outside to relax. This store is a bit small, so its noisy inside. Service is excellent, cashier was friendly and professional. Drink was made quickly. No complaints. Drinks from all Starbucks locations are pretty consistent. It just depends on the service. I've actually had really give service from the majority of baristas working for Starbucks. WOW! This Starbucks opens at 4:30 AM!!! You folks are a lifesaver!!!! Lol! I was doing some early morning installations work at Lowe's hardware store, and upon taking a break, I decided I was gonna walk across the parking lot from Lowe's to go to McD's. But while walkin' towards McD's, to the side of my eyes, I see this Starbucks Coffee shop, so da next thing ya know I veered off to the right & made a straight bee-line to Starbucks! Yes, Starbucks coffee is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more expensive then McD's coffee! Is it better? Hella YES! But I won't hate on McD's coffee, as what you pay & what you get ain't too bad. The nice thing about this Starbucks was that it was in the Waikele Shopping Center complex, and smack in a place where it's quite accessible from other businesses. Parking is a breeze if you decide to come here, as there are tons of parking spaces located within this shopping complex. I walked into the coffee shop, the friendly clerk took my order, collected my moolah, then she turned around & filled my cup of hot Joe then handed it to me within seconds! What great service!!!! Not all Starbucks are the same. Some are smaller than others. Some have friendlier staff. Some don't get merchandise shipped to them. That's some of what I learned when I was searching for the Color-changing cups. My quest started in Los Angeles earlier this 2020 year. I called many Starbucks and they had all sold out. It was frustrating! Recently, a new batch of color-changing cups was made. The Kailua location said that merchandise is on auto-shipment and they don't receive any cups. I was referred to the Windward City Starbucks. I went twice and called a few times - no luck. Just for fun, I entered a contest on Instagram - not expecting to win. The prize was a Confetti Color-changing cup... not the set of six color-changing cups, but the special, larger CONFETTI CUP!!! I was thrilled to the max when Starbucks at Waikele messaged me to inform me that I had won! YAY!!! Waikele is known for its outlet shops. If I had more time, I would have taken a look around and also would have stopped by the food trucks. Too bad I didn't have time. It was a busy day of errands and I was getting a migraine because I hadn't eaten yet. Thank goodness for coffee! I parked for free right near the door of Starbucks and went into the spacious and well air-conditioned, tidy shop. The friendly cashier took my order for a Cold Brew with Dark Cocoa Amondmilk Foam. It was nice and strong with less bitterness and not much sweetness. Ahh! I felt like I needed another dose, so I went back to the cashier and ordered a Cold Brew with Cinnamon Almondmilk Foam. When she asked for my name, I said, "Hello Kitty"... and she didn't make a face! LOL! Anyway, the coffee wasgood! Mmm! It had a hint of refreshing spice! Great! I finally revealed to the staff that I was "Auntie Nadine"... and I was here to pick up the Instagram prize. Hee hee! I don't know who was more happy - the staff or me? LOL! I gladly accepted the Confetti color-changing cup and took a photo of it! At long last... after many months... the search is over! Still this location was SCAMBUCKS!!!! I'm so disappointed again. I ordered "ice passion tea unsweetened", then I got iced coffee. I told the barista, "this order is wrong, I ordered iced passion tea" so he said "oh, I can make for tea". But when I scan my card I felt like little expensive than usual, so I told him "but those price are different, right?!", he said "no almost same". My daughter wanted Starbucks and luckily this was right in the corner of where Sephora was. We walked in and stood in line social distancing and of course a mask is mandatory. The girl at the register was super nice. I wanted a cold brew and the lady gave me options so I went with a grande salted caramel cold brew and my daughter got a grande pink drink. We both loved our drinks. There were two baristas making drinks behind the counter. They were pretty fast at making drinks. My drink was perfect. Plenty of parking up front. As you wait along the side for your drinks, usually there is a worker asking how you are doing? What's your plans are today? And just making sure the customer feels welcome and comfortable. Big plus for that! My favorite ice tea is strawberry black tea sweeten. Which gives a significant flavor to it. Can't go wrong with their spinach wrap. they always tend to run out quickly. What a sad location. I previously worked for a Starbucks and I know what it means to be a partner. My brother fell in the parking lot and we urgently needed ice to wrap around his leg. As someone who used to work for this company, I know I can easily ask for ice in an orange bag. The short asian girl who was the supervisor at the time turned me away and only said the best she could do was give me a cup of ice. She told me I could go to Safeway for ice. I don't need a whole bag of ice, I just needed the ice in a plastic bag. I understand that there's people who take advantage of Starbucks for ice, but we urgently needed ice for an injury. I did not feel like this supervisor cared nor went above and beyond for my request. It's disappointing how they couldn't honor this for an injury or someone who worked for the company. read more

This Starbucks at Waikele Center is one of my favorite Starbucks. This location can be quite busy especially during holiday season. Their line seems to always move quicker and staff are pretty on it with excellent customer service. They always have variety of mugs, cups, gift cards selection etc. The only down side is waiting area for your drinks. You're in the middle of store where people are passing through and in front people who are sitting enjoying their drinks. I try not to face my back in front of someone's face. Something like that. Definitely starts with K. She needs to fix her attitude and her tone when she's taking orders. Super rude and it's like she doesn't want to be there. Ok story time! So I walked into Starbucks while there was no rush. I was the second customer in line and ordered my shaken espresso large with extra caramel and light ice and a water. The customer before me got their drink in no time. I had an appointment coming up in the area at 2:15. I ordered just before 2. I believed since it was slow I had time. All of a sudden a big rush of people came in. They all ordered and got there drinks before me...I was standing in the area where they set drinks down... and some drinks they didn't call names for. So there was plenty drinks and pastries on the counter. 15 mins go by and I'm late, so after the rush ended I went to the counter and asked the girl if they forgot my drink and if I could get a refund since everyone got their drinks...then this guy with long hair named "Angel" (according to the call I made after) said "I just made it!"And I was already trying to get my refund. The girl at the register said we will make you a new one. So "Angel" started complaining in FRONT of me to his worker that "I just made it why do they need a new one?" (In kind of a rude tone while trying to rush make my drink). After it was done he said "you asked for decaf right?" I told him "I didn't ask you guys to remake the drink and no I didn't want decaf". I was just trying to get my refund because I'm late for something, but they kept insisting to make a new one. Another customer butted in and said "I'll take her water", and then Angel in a nice passive tone was like "here you go" and let her take my water. I still was ok with keeping my water so I went back to the register and asked for another one. This was a complete waste of my time. Angel was very rude and wouldn't call out names to the drinks. Even if he did JUST make the drink, why did I have to wait 15 mins, and I why was everyone else before me served?? I got the vibe that he messed up my drink on purpose the second time cuz it looked completely different from the first one he made and I didn't order decaf. I purchase a drink on December 18, 2019. There were a lot of young workers. BRUH! No Aloha here! 1. That made my coffee wrong and all I did was ask for black coffee. I didnt bother. I drank it. 2. Then I went back to buy a package of kona coffee beans. It was $25.08 I also, ended up buying my daughter a banana because she wanted food And nothing else there is good for two-year-old that doesn't massive amounts of sugar. Anyways I asked for a bag and the cashier gave me a strange look and told me it would be 15 cents. So I said really, I just purchased a $25 bag of coffee. At the other stores they would give me a bag after purchasing $20 of items. Then cashier said we usually only give bags when you purchase food.-- And she caught herself because I bought a banana.-- Then further explained to say that we don't give out bags unless you buy food. Okay, So I bought a $1 banana And the cashier look very confident that it was OK to give me a bag for $1 banana but would not give me a bag for a $25 bag of coffee. Interesting because I don't like to judge people but she was young and she looked like she needed to prove a point to me so I kindly said thank you for the bag and left. Experiences like these do not make me proud to be local to Oahu/Hawaii because I don't know if she thought I was not from here but her facial expressions showed horrible service to me. So this Starbucks in Waikele does not treat locals or customers nicely. Funny did she think she was "better than me" -- Ok I will stop judging... I don't think Starbucks CEO cares and I don't even think the franchise owner will look at this, or manager, or anyone higher than a cashier.... but if YOU ARE local go down the street, either way down the street, there are many other Starbucks franchises that will get your black coffee right and that will give you a bag kindly for your purchase, no drama. The store itself was very clean. The cashier/barista was very pushy in the sense that she was impatient when we were ordering. There was no one behind us in line and she rushed our order. After paying with my app we had a balance of $0.32. My daughter pulled out a dollar bill and I said no wait I have the $0.32. She looked at my daughter with her hand open (as if she was signaling to give her the money) and said no the dollar is fine.
