    Sweet Rolls
    Ruby S.

I will give credit to my husband for coming up with last minute idea to buy their #1 top, best selling item, Spanish rolls for a picnic rather than spending another hour baking a dessert in the kitchen at home due to time. I entered and said, "Good morning!" The Filipino ladies were very sweet and answered our questions regarding an unlabeled, flaky pastry. We found out it's mongo beans filled pastry on top, open counter. Sounds interesting. Will try that next time. Although the space is small, layout from left to right is easy to navigate in choosing sweet and savory, homemade variety of Filipino pastries. We ordered: 1) Ube Cream Cheese Pandesal: ube bread was not sweet. The crumbs added a layer of texture. Cream cheese filling tasted light, not sweet and complemented or balanced ube pandesal. Yummy! 2) Sweet rolls: my son selected this pastry because he's in the mood for bread. He commented,"It tastes like sweet bread, not super sweet, filling is plain." That's some humongous size! 3) 2 dozen Spanish rolls: the top selling item, buttery with crumbs, that can withstand the humidity, was gone in a few hours consumed by kids, tweens, and other adults at Ko 'Olina Lagoon. Kindly inquire and order Spanish rolls. They are made fresh in the back so don't freak out if you don't see any in glass case display late morning and early lunch. There's also Ube Spanish rolls which are delicious and added a pop of purple swirls. If you're craving for jumbo size ensaymada, get your fix here too. Don't expect to find long john. That's how you know you're in a Filipino bakery. We're very grateful! I also thanked the Filipino ladies, "Maraming salamat po." They were elated! That threw my hubby in for a surprise!

Visited hungry. Left full and satisfied. Both plain and ube filled spanish breads were a treat. The stuffed portuguese and corned beef breads were amazing! Uncertain why the negative reviews. They take credit cards but do bring cash if sampling only a few pieces of baked goods. Support local businesses because this is an awesome one!

The only thing I regret is not ordering enough Biko! I fell in love with it, super delicious, perfectly sweet, and sticky in the best way. Definitely the highlight of my order! I also tried the pineapple puto, which was a little too tart for my taste, but the banana bread was really good. I got Siopao for my partner, and he enjoyed it too. If I go back (which I definitely will), I'm getting way more Biko. That dessert was unforgettable!

THE best Spanish rolls ever!! I'm a mainlander that dreams of their hot Spanish rolls as must as some people must dream of Porto's bakery when they come into Southern California. I found this place on a whim a like 10 years ago and must stop here every time I'm in Oahu. It's on my list of must eats as much as malasadas from Leonard's and coco puffs from Liliha.

Nanding's! Their Spanish rolls are a local staple here in Hawai'i and for good reason. Soft, warm, and made fresh to order, they're so addicting and it's hard not to eat several at a time. Always brings up great memories to locals near and far, and so great to bring to potlucks for parties. Open every day, plenty parking, and friendly staff. Highly recommend and check them out!

Nanding's Bakery famous for their Spanish Rolls. Located in Waipahu just after Kuni's Restaurant. The ladies are very friendly and super quick. There were a few customers ahead of me, but one of the ladies took my order. By the time I reached the register which was only a couple of minutes my order was already ready . They also have a wide variety of baked goodies freshly prepared every day. Definitely a must stop when visiting Waipahu

Came here for the first time at this location. Nanding's will forever be known for their Spanish Rolls. They are so flavorful and yummy especially when you first buy it. I've hadn't had Spanish Rolls that can top these guys. They have another shop in town on Kapahulu near the Zippys. Staff is fast and friendly. There's enough parking even when it gets busy. No restrooms inside.

Who doesn't love Nanding's Spanish rolls? Buttery bottoms, airy & fluffy insides, just the right amount of brown sugary topping & the perfect size! The ube rolls are just as tasty! They have a good variety of other Filipino baked goodies as well as seasonal offerings. The aunties behind the counter are friendly & quick. Located on the corner of an older strip mall off Farrington Hwy in Waipahu.

I had higher hopes for this bakery because I tried the location that's closer to Waikiki. This location, the lady didn't seem very patient, but I also bought ube pandesal. The second one I started eating, tasted really bitter after taste to it like a cream cheese was spoiled or they mix the baking powder and the baking soda to have the bread have such a acid like taste. I'm hoping that it's a one off because I still have two more. In the bag.

Waipahu's Filipino bake shop. I love so many things here! Ube cream cheese pan de sal is always soft. Hopia is fresh as heck. Custard pie by the slice reminds so much of my dad- yummy. You can even preorder.

The food was what everyone craved for! Best to eat the Spanish bread right after you order it. The service was fast and the place felt homie with all the Filipinos working there lol. I order 3 dozen and it was enough for everyone at work.

    The line starts here! Yummy-ville!

Super yummy local bakery that makes a wide variety of fresh baked goods. Their in house baked Spanish Rolls are so delicious with their soft doughy texture and buttery flavor, especially fresh out of the oven. Today I tried a Macpuno Coconut Ensaymada. Another awesome creation of a slightly sweet roll Kine of pastry with a luscious coconut flavor. So Ono! Friendly greeting upon arrival and the sweet smell of fresh baked delights greet your nasal passages and get your mouth watering as you gaze upon their wonderful baked goods behind the counter glass display. This wonderful bakery is a grab & go type of establishment without any type of indoor or outdoor seating. I wanted to try the Ube filled Spanish Rolls but they sell out Early mornings. Best to call in your order ahead of time to insure their availability! I scored 4 dozen Spanish Rolls to go for my fellow co-workers IAM Union Awareness Briefing. Too bad this location isn't closer to my work. Yum! Yum!

Nanding's Bakery is a Filipino bakery that is known for their butter rolls - when we arrived, there was a small line, and most people seem to get dessert items to go. We came here to try their butter rolls, which actually was recently baked and piping hot - I thought it would be more savory, but it seemed a little roll filled with sweet sugary butter. You can see some of the staff hand-rolling other pastries, so you know that items are made on site. They're a little stingy with the napkins; how can a bakery not have napkins available? Located in a small strip plaza, there's plenty of parking. +stingy with napkisn +handmade pastries in house +plenty of parking in shared plaza lot
