TLDR: Life is uncertain, eat dessert first. If you are near Waianae, get that dessert from 808_Puffs. Always looking to sample local cuisine we happened upon 808_Puffs when we were exploring Waianae. Too early for lunch, we decided to get some puffs to take back to the hotel. They sat untouched in their box for exactly 2.3 miles or 10 minutes. Precisely the amount of time it took to find a place to park where they were promptly devoured. With gusto and sincere pleasure. We bought four with the intent to share. Unfortunately we forgot utensils and it's incredibly hard to split a puff with fingers, so I can't provide firsthand feedback on the Dubai puff or the chocolate bar puff. I can tell you they were gone in a flash and no one offered to give me a bite. The ube puff was delicious and crammed full of ube goodness and that the chantilly puff topped with chocolate was divine and though I didn't mean it, I did offer my husband a bite of both. The storefront is small. There might have been a table or two in the front, but there was a very hyper child up there, so we stayed close to the register waiting for our order. They also have hot food and a selection of poke which looked fresh, but poke's not my thing so... Their prices were reasonable, the store was clean and service was quick at 10 am. read more

Tried the ahi patty bento, it comes with a bed of furikake rice and you get to choose 1 free side. I ordered the potato crab salad. So tasty omg. It also comes with a chili pepper water it says on the menu but it was more of a vinegary dip still so ono. Ahi was soft and flavorful and potato crab salad was potatoing crab salading. This is the best turkey plate I ate so far from a restaurant! It brings back my childhood memories and reminds me of thanksgiving with my grandma! The turkey plate is not an everyday type of thing for this company it's a special and they have it every once in a while. To know when they sell the plate you must be following them on Instagram, they announce what their specials are every day! The desserts are to die for as well ! One of the best places on the Waianae coast. If you're familiar with Waianae, it's located in the old Pizza Hut. The Ahi Katsu, Pan Fried KING Salmon, and Korean Chicken plates were all very tasty and cooked well. You can choose from Tossed Salad, Mac Salad, Spicy Coleslaw, and Crab Salad. So... I've followed 808 Puff for a while... Makaha truck stops and all. So excited they opened a brick and mortar. I love that for them. We've been there a few times now heading to or from Makaha... and I have to say... now that we had the real capability to stop and eat... their desserts is good, yes, but their food is even better. I've never heard of this spot until today while driving into Waianae, so we decided to stop by before they closed for the day. We ordered a cookie butter puff, chantilly crunch, and pistachio pudding cake. Cookie butter puff - an elevated version of the liliha bakery coco puff. The chantilly frosting and cookie butter drizzle went so well together. Chantilly crunch - a pumpkin crunch square topped with chantilly frosting. I think I also tasted cookie butter in the crust? Anything chantilly, I want it! This makes me excited for thanksgiving time! Pistachio pudding cake - this was a little on the mid side for me. New spot in Waianae (old pizza hut buliding). I believe they had a truck and now store front. They have desserts, food items, and fresh poke. Not a big fan of puffs but asked for their most popular items so my family could try. They recommended the churro and cookie butter puffs. I got to taste the cookie butter and it was better than I had imagined it would taste. The texture was better than a Liliha puff (in my opinion), and the flavor was there. My family said the churro was good. We also got some food/poke to try. My daughter had the pulled pork sandwich and I had the ahi katsu sandwich. They almost looked similar when we first got it. The sauce tasted about the same in both. The ahi was a little overpowered by the coleslaw/sauce. The mac nut poke sounded interesting, it was OK, so was the lime poke. We love seafood and poke so as long as it's not overpowered by sauce or gross, we enjoy it. Will definitely go back to try more! read more

First time here. We ordered the lemon bar, lilikoi bar, pumpkin crunch, Oreo tree leches, chantilly puff, and cookie butter puff. All of them were delicious. My favorite was the lemon bar - not too sweet, not too sour and the shortbread was perfect and the chantilly puff - maybe better than Liliha's in my opinion. My son's favorite was the Oreo tres leches. The lady helping us was helpful and friendly and I'm glad they have a seating area to enjoy the food. The food and Coco Puffs are good, their Puffs are not too sweet, perfect amount of sweetness. I paid about 35 for my items. Customer service is not the best, the young girl who took the order wasn't friendly, just went through the motions. The other girl she was friendly, probably new and not related to the owners. When I did get my order, the young girl that took my order. She pretty much snatched the little black device that you give when your order is ready out of my hand. Teaching customer service is important in any business.. If your customer service was better, I would definitely give more stars. I am blown away at how good these puffs are! My friend told me to try his relatives place. I'm not a big fan of Liliha coco puffs, so I wasn't going to go out of my way. I was passing by so I dropped in and got a selection of three (churro, cake batter and peanut butter). I think I will have to come here as often as I can. Finally get to try this place out since they opened in the mall. I ordered some desserts for my husbands birthday and most of the desserts were good but at the same time it wasn't anything spectacular. We took the desserts to the party location and right away they got super soft and a runny yogurt texture that didn't hold up really well. But they still taste alright. The service was quick and the owner was friendly but the girl who took the order looked like she didn't want to work that day or something but I don't blame her she's just a kid.
