Funfetti cupcakes
Porsche S.

We Heart Cake Company is located in kaimuki on Waialae Avenue. There is only street parking along the front of the store. I had ordered cupcakes for my boss' birthday online. When going to pick it up, I realized I got the date wrong. The owner was so nice and allowed me to pick up 6 cupcakes. I was very appreciative that she was so accommodating. Prices are high, but that's how all bakeries are now days. The cupcake itself was moist and the frosting was not super sweet. I will definitely come back for all my cake needs.

Three pieces of "Daifuku mochi with an". Didn't see a price. Hungry husband treating tonight so hurry & get it ! So excited to try dis!
Kimi S.

Hungry Husband and I made a late night snack run to 7-11. I looked in the donut case to find a 3 piece "Daifuku with An" container, didn't expect that to be in there but was pleasantly surprised ( cuz I wuz craving some kinda mochi thing!) Hungry Husband commented that I slid over to the desserts before I got my coffee ! He he ! I quickly grabbed the container, looked at the other choices of; butter mochi, chi chi dango and one more mochi dessert but my mind was made up! Got my chai coffee and was a happy mochi-mama! We're home now and I ripped open the container which was tightly sealed. (they must pay a lot for packaging!) I've never seen this brand/ company before & figured it was a specialty cake shop! So excited! I bake/cook a lot with mochiko so, I'm a real mochi monster!!! Picked up a piece & sunk my teeth into it...you ready for my thoughts? Firm white outside(daifuku) mochi with smooth an or koshi red bean paste.Would I dare say "al dente"? Initially, I didn't like it. Then I thought wait...it's not too sweet, just right because what if a mochi monster was to gobble down the whole container? Then, I thought it was too firm! But hold it right there... the other mochi brands are sometimes too soft and mushy-mushy .(my grampa used to say dat) Okay den, it's different I say to myself ! Take another bite...well,okole maluna !!! (down da hatch) I really appreciated the toothsome chew! It gave the mochi some personality!!! I'm glad some other company is doing mochi products not just the old school companies! Good job! I'll be having MORE late night coffee/snack/dessert runs in the future & am willing to try other mochi desserts from "We cake "!!! Maybe we'll visit your bakery someday!!!

Signature love letter cake

One of my favorite bakeries on island! Their flavors are so good and their presentation is soo cute! Their service is amazing as well, I had forgotten to place my order in advance and gave them a call to see what items they had available to purchase in store if I stopped by the next day and they were so kind enough to accommodate the exact order I wanted!! I will always recommend this place to others!

I stopped by to purchase a cake for a coworker. The cashier was helpful in preparing the cake in a box with the topper. I have been in a couple of times and didn't realize they had cards too so I grabbed a birthday card. I didn't need candles this time but they had some cute ones. Make sure to put your number in if you are a frequent visitor as you get free items the more points you earn.

Great service and they made a custom cake for my daughter who loves seals! Parking is hard to find but once you know, you know.

Looking for a bakery for an upcoming event. Stopped in to test out the product to get an idea of how the cakes would be. We got 4 cupcakes. The flavor was great, the frosting was light and not over sweet, the (cup) cakes were unbelievably dry. Overall we were very disappointed and concerned that maybe the cupcakes were just old but realized after cutting into all four that they were all the same. The associate informed us that they do not deliver cakes and that you would have to pick up either same day or day before. It left us concerned that any potential cake ordered form this location would be flavorful but overly dry.

This year she came out with some amazing new creations, was so impressed had to order and continue to purchase her ginger bread & Meringue cookies. Also, did the holiday jewel box, was so kawaii.... Service is always on point and 200% amazing the owner usually comes out to say "hi", staff is always friendly and nice, Selection is just kawaii during the holidays I want to buy everything, but hold myself back...this year I did go overboard got a couple jewel boxes for friends to let them try the awesome japanese frosting on the cupcakes, meringue and ginger bread cookies and her new creation pretzel with meringue was just too cute as a favor. The meringue shortbread cookie are so good, I love them more than the regular meringue cookies or honu. I keep returning to this bakery, that's how much I love her bakery. If you haven't gone yet, give it a try and keep watch for valentines specials. Yelp won't let me add any more pictures so sorry you can't see the Kawaii things this Christmas

Short attention span review- Gifted a six piece cupcake box for the holidays. Impressive packaging Delicious chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with exquisitely decorated frosting. Not too sweet, perfect with a hot beverage, not over rich, just right. The visual beauty of the presentation was a preview of the delicious delights to follow. They have parking! They have parking! In the rear, enter driveway before the bakery. Will go back to try their flavored cupcakes- was impressed with the taste of the basic chocolate and vanilla ones.

This gem of a bakery is tucked into the middle of a block on Waialae Ave. There are a couple dedicated parking stalls but you have to know where to find them. It's worth the trouble because this shop is so cute. The decorated cookies are adorbs! Check out the Honi Honi cookie which is meringue in a vanilla cookie. So pretty and bite sized! Today, I picked up two cupcakes. They were too perfectly attractive to resist ($4.75). The Cookies & Dream had an oreo on the top as well as on the bottom. That was a nice surprise. The Espresso For You was packed with mocha flavor. This is a great place to pick up gifts for friends or a showstopping dish for your next party!

Thank you for making my birthday special with your beautiful letter "M" cake. Not only was it beautiful, it was delicious. Everyone loved the frosting and the execution of your decorative style atop mini cupcakes. The cupcakes were moist too! Everyone loved their cookie favors. I'm so glad I decided to use your cookies for favors. Absolutely fabulous! My only regrets is I don't get an extra cookie for myself! LOL. I guess that means I have to stop by for a visit! Yay!

Display case

While the displays are very pretty, they have a small parking lot with visitor spots in the back, and the shop looked clean, the prices are quite high and the flavor/texture were just ok. I went here since there was a deal on 5 stars app for a free macaron with purchase (btw their sign says macaroon, but it is the French macaron, not the coconut macaroon). I tried a new flavor macaron, oreo. It was ok, but when I first bit into it, it was frozen. Waited a while to eat more. It was a bit dry/crumbly. Not the typical chewy crisp that you look for in a macaron. Not sure if they're made and them frozen or buy them in, but it was definitely icy. The red velvet cake pop looked good, but the taste was a bit off. It was almost iron-y like bloody tasting but maybe it was just too much food coloring. Overall not the best experience and for the cost I would rather just go to Starbucks where I know I love the cake pops. For parties though the small gift bags are super cute.

Mini Cake (in-store only) The macaron cracked a little that was my fault taking it out of the box.

I've been frequenting this bakery for years now and wanted to say that I love their baked goods! Parking is right out back (enter from Waialae) with a few stalls on the left located next to the bamboo trees. Or you can just park on the street right out front. I can tell that all of their items are made from scratch (and love!) and the flavor and taste are exceptional. My go-tos are always their animal cookies and cupcakes. Just recently, Weheart started making these cute Mini-cakes. I wanted to pick one up for my grandmothers 83rd birthday. I called to see if they had any left in stock, as this is a walk-in only cake, and they did. I thought that the cake flavor would be something simple such as vanilla or chocolate but surprisingly it was a delicious flavor of strawberry guava! My grandmother loved it, and said it as "too cute to eat." As a customer for years, I've never written a review but wanted to thank Weheart for always staying consistent over the years. The quality and taste of their confections never changes. This company always delivers in terms of freshness, quality, and consistency. Mahalo piha Weheartcakecompany!

Clockwise from top left: Guava strawberry, Passion Kiss, Chocoholic, Happy Birthday.
Elle V.

Beautiful cupcakes, ordered a set of 4 for delivery. The chocolate (Chocoholic) was the favorite of the 4. Also ordered Happy Birthday (vanilla cake with confetti sprinkles), Guava Strawberry, and Passion Kiss (lilikoi). They came in a beautiful, high quality box. Recommend that if you save them for later, refrigerate them in an airtight container, not just in the beautiful box, so they don't dry out. Delivery was through Bite Squad. I submitted the order 2 days in advance but my app notifications made it seem like the app didn't actually notify the bakery until the last minute so it was delivered almost half an hour late. I feel like the fault was with the app, not the bakery or the driver. There are limited menu choices through the app, but the standard options were fine for this order.

I will try one of those flavors next time I have an occasion to purchase a special cake. As a side bar I learn Hitomi has a store located in the Marco Polo where other baked items are available for purchase. The store has restricted hours so I've yet to get a schedule to stop in however, it is on my hit list for next time I need special gifts. Her store is located in the Marco Polo condominium on Kapiolani Blvd. A definite must try if you haven't already. The cake runs about $50. But a infamous local pies run about $40. So I ordered a Classic Milk Tea regular sweet. After I received my drink I was curious as to what kind of black tea they used for the classic milk tea. I asked and the person working at the register at the time just looked at me and said, "I have no idea" and walked away... Anyways, the milk tea is drinkable although, after sipping at my drink for awhile it kind of coats your tongue with a heavy cream flavor? It wasn't pleasant and the tea flavor doesn't linger. Also regular sweet is way too sweet, so I recommend doing 50% or even 25% sweet as a normal sweet. Overall, I don't think I'll be coming back.

I was too full at the moment to order more food, but I returned on my last evening in Oahu to order a slice of rainbow cake for myself. It was somewhat early in the evening -- probably around 6PM or so -- so the Royal Hawaiian Center food court was getting a little busy but there were still empty tables around. The bakery itself had a few people in line so I perused the display case for other desserts. They had quite a few interesting ones: lilikoi basque cheesecake, Diamond Head puff custard, ube cake. Unfortunately, my appetite is much smaller than it once was, but the cakes looked delicious and the people in front of me all ordered their cakes ahead of time, so they are quite in demand! The cashier took my order quickly and I was able to get a slice of rainbow cake, which had fluffy cream and moist layers of colorful cake. The flavor reminded me of fruity pebbles, but without being overly sweet the way children's cereal used to be. I really liked eating it because it didn't make me feel guilty eating a dessert. However, there are many alternative malasada purveyors throughout Honolulu, so I depended on local vloggers to find the best ones. This one popped up often on YouTube, and as luck would have it, we were dining at The Pig & The Lady on the next block. How calorifically convenient. We took the opportunity to stop by for a pre-dinner snack since they closed at 6PM. It's a cute shop with multiple sweets including quite a selection of housemade ice cream and delectable mouthfuls called Cake Bombs (Photo 10). We decided we would be good and ordered one unfilled Malasada each. Dusted with various sugar flavors, they were just $2.65 a piece. I went for the Coffee, while Jamie chose the daily special, Cinnamon (Photo 6). They were soft and tasty, quite comparable to Leonard's albeit a tad smaller. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing since we had dinner ahead of us. However, we let temptation get the best of us and shared a $5.50 slice of the Ube Haupia Mac Nut Bar, a yummy combination of sweet potato and ube topped with haupia (coconut milk pudding) on a macadamia nut crust (Photo 9).
