I like how they can fit a Starbucks anywhere. This is a narrow location but they make the most of it, the tables with the benches against the wall have plugs build in under them! Score these seats first if you got a laptop and are the type to do work or study in a coffee shop. Great stop for the holidays, while others shop at Bed Bath & Beyond or Best Buy just pop in here for an energizing cup of joe. What the heck is up with these parking spaces?! They are not just compact but Euro car sized compact. This just ends up in horrible parking jobs, multiple cars don't even bother trying and blatantly take up two spaces. Love their customer service. I always come for a drink while i shop at Ross or PetSmart. Its usually not very busy. The only issue I have with this place is that their restrooms are usually dirty. I think they have a problem with homeless people going into the restroom and wash up but regardless, they need to keep them cleaner. They have a keypad with a code for the restroom so i'm guessing that will help them. Their counters are always clean and their tables inside AND OUTSIDE are always clean as well. read more

By far the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. How hard is it to get a grande sugar free caramel iced coffee. It wasn't the guys fault that made it though. It was the idiot girl that didn't know how to take my order. My first clue shouldn't been when she asked if I wanted 4 shots in it. I was like no, I guess 3 should be fine. The drink was decent, but the customer service sucks! I came with a few other people, two of which ordered right before me; there was only one group in front of us. I ordered a Mango Black Tea Lemonade (not a difficult drink to make at all). My friend and I stood by the counter watching the guy make our drinks. After the first two of our four drinks were given, I saw that he took my cup and put it on the counter behind him. Third drink came out. Then he made some other customer their drink and gave it to him as my cup sat lonely and untouched where he left it. I didn't mind so much that drinks were given in the ordered received. As my cup remained on the counter he proceeded to the next drinks that were all ordered after mine! At this point I asked, "excuse me, did you forget my drink" and pointed to the counter. The guys says "No" and turns around and starts making my drink. I'm pretty sure he forgot because when I asked he put down the drink he was currently working on (cup half full) and made my drink. Nothing too special or fancy about my drink so idk what the hold up was. The barista then gives me my drink with no apology or any type of conversation--just left it on the counter. Wow, so rude. I even said "thank you" as I took my drink and left. It's not my fault you left my cup back there and forgot! The least he could have done was apologize for the extra wait and forgetting. Geez. This barista was pretty rude; I saw him spark some attitude to the cashier when he misinterpreted what he wrote on the cup. ASIAN DRIVERS BEWARE. The parking lot's incline gets significantly steep just outside of this Starbucks, and the spaces are drawn assuming no car is bigger than a Fiat 500. Luckily, you don't really have to drive here. This Starbucks is conveniently located right across Foothill from the Sierra Madre Villa Metro station. The same plaza also houses a really nice Petsmart (canine needs), a Nordstrom Rack (female needs), and a Chipotle (male companion needs). Kaiser is extremely close by, too, in case you OD on caffeine or drop from too much shopping. Oh, right. The Starbucks itself is pretty nice. I just never park near it. read more

I worked at this starbucks for almost year. It's funny because it was one of the lowest paying jobs I've had, but one of the most fun. I loved my coworkers, the regulars, it was great! The old jewish guy who came in at 5 in the morning and for his large hot coffee, sorry VENTI drip no room. The old chinese guy who ordered one venti, one tall and a cup of ice and gave me money for chinese new years, the lady who told me to call her miss and not ma'am, ron who liked coffee and halfnhalf...the really cute girl studying for econ who always ordered hot chocolate. Hey baristas are ppl too. This starbucks is awesome though, because the employees really care about people. The management was great and even when things got all sorts of bananas crazy in the morning rush, everyone would have such a good time bustin it out and do their best to help everyone. I heard that by now a lot of the old ppl are gone, which is kind of sad but it's still a great local. Sit outside with a good book in the fall, you're in pasadena and life is good. read more

This Starbucks location is a good location near Best Buy. Even though it's regularly busy in the morning, the line goes by pretty quickly. The inside doesn't have much seating, so if it's during the middle of the day, you might have trouble finding a place to sit. There also isn't that much outside seating either, so if you want to sit/chill/work, you might have to be lucky. They've always made my drinks correctly (which is always a big plus) and I definitely will keep coming back. The staff here are so nice that a few days ago, a friend of mine ordered an iced tea and fell outside. Even though she was embarrassed, we convinced her to go inside and see if they'd make her another one. They totally did and it made her day. read more

Location/parking: located on the corner of the plaza right next to Ross. Parking gets crazy especially on the weekends because the plaza is a pretty busy plaza and Starbucks is right next to Ross, making their parking pretty congested. The parking spots are teeeny tiny making it even harder to find parking. Atmosphere: there are plenty of tables to sit outside off of Foothill Blvd but can get noisy because of the cars passing by and the fire department right across the street. There are some tables inside with plenty of outlets for your laptops along the bench. Noise level is pretty low making it ideal for studying. Food/drinks: Good! Passion Iced Tea is the most refreshing drink! This Starbucks is very vertical... I don't know how to explain it. The set-up of this cafe is narrow, which I find a little weird when I have to spend long periods of time here. Not too crazy about the Baristas... I asked a stupid question once and I didn't like how the Barista responded. I rather a Barista give me a shit-eatin-grin smile and humor me a little, instead of looking at me like they hate their job and do the slow head-shake. I like this Starbucks because it has a lot of tables and outlets if you want to study or do work. The baristas are fast and they are nice when I ask them to remake it. There is a good selection of mugs/tumblers on display and the store looks clean. Since there is only one bathroom, there tends to be a line. Also, it can get a bit noisy in there, but a good pair of earphones can easily fix that. read more

There is a older (homeless looking) man who is very dirty and i'm sorry to say, smells of a foul stench & looks unhealthy... not exactly what i want to see at 9:00 am while paying 4.50 for my coffee. The barrista who was making drinks noticed my long wait. After she found out that I was patiently waiting for an oatmeal, she apologized, but Breanna who was at fault never apologized. I usually come to this Starbucks on the way to my art class in Pasadena and the barista's there are extremely nice and attentive. The only thing I do not like about this Starbucks is just the parking. The spots are sooo little that even my little car has a hard time fitting in. It's a Starbucks. It's got the decor you're used to, the menu that's identical to other locations, etc. The biggest difference is the parking lot, which, due to being a large shopping center lot, has ample room, but also manages to be crowded and you have to be careful of cars backing out of spots and pedestrians not paying attention. I would like to note that if I hadn't had a gift card, I would have patronized an independent shop, but I had a gift card, time to kill, and it was cold out, and hot chocolate (soy, extra chocolate) seemed like a good idea. The barista who took my order was friendly and efficient, my drink came up rapidly, and they'd put in a good balance of chocolate, which a lot of places don't. I'd use up the rest of my gift card there, but since it's a Starbucks and neither here nor there, it gets three stars and a shrug. read more

I love this Starbucks because it's right next to my work and I can have meetings right after work... all I have to do is walk there. I guess I'm not the only one who loves this place because boy does it get packed. It's a good sized Starbucks but finding a table can be rough. There's also outdoor seating which also gets taken up rather quickly. Still a great Starbucks to get some work done at. If you go to another Starbucks in Pasadena you will get a great connection and great speed. They need to upgrade their wifi!!
