Buy a dozen get 2 free!

Winchell's donuts are always fresh and fairly priced. I love walking in and the aroma of coffee and fresh donuts just hits you in the face and makes you feel cozy inside. I always swing by this location to pick up donuts for my doctor's office when I have appointments. All donuts are buy a dozen and get 2 free, pretty sweet deal! Love that this location is fast and there's always lots of parking available.

I can see the bagel thru the thinnest spread of cream cheese ever! Don't be extra but at least average?

Customer service is great, you get a mom&pop feel when you walk into this business but seems they have cut down on what you get for your money. I know it's tough times all across the board (and maybe the employees are instructed to be economic by ownership?) but make me feel like I get a balanced purchase. The thick bagel was toasted great but it hardly had cream cheese, was it because I asked for open face? If I was told, I would've paid extra to have enough cream cheese spread for an opened face. I should've opened it before walking away and realizing when I got to work and it was too late to ask for more. You live and learn.

Been here more than the other donut places. Winchell's has always been one of my favorites since I was a child. My dad would would take me to Downtown Los Angeles location to buy donuts, while he would also buy himself a cup of coffee. I think there was only one sized coffee back then that comes in a regular styrofoam cups. Gosh, it smelled wonderful! And that's probably why I'm currently addicted to coffee of all types. Now back to my review. This location in my opinion is probably the cleanest, never crowded (when I go), and they serve fresh donuts. The donuts here are usually made in the morning by 9am, per the lady working there. She also says if they run low, they'll bake some more donuts. Yay! That's probably why they're usually fresher than other locations I've been to. Good variety of donuts, twirls, donut holes, rolls, etc. I like the fact that Winchell's always give two extras when you purchase a dozen for $13.99. So basically, each donut is a buck. But too shabby! This Winchell's is located in the same plaza as Pavilions. But the main entrance is on Lake Ave., But there is also a back entrance if you park in the back sharing the parking lot with the super market. I like this location, and will be back again soon.

Dozen doughnuts! Twists, Glazed, Lemon-Curd filled, Strawberry, Cinnamon, Maple Bar, Chocolate Glazed!

Just No. Donuts are horrible. Customer service was decent, just can't get over the bad tasting donuts. Cheap.

We had to circle the area a few times to find street parking. It would be nice if they had a designated parking lot in addition to street parking because some of the businesses around there had that. There was seating inside despite the store being pretty small, so my bf and I just ate inside. The cakes were pretty good! I got the Matcha Yuzu and he got the Kinako Chestnut. I couldn't really taste the yuzu until I tried only the first layer of cream. The matcha overpowers the yuzu a lot because there was two layers of matcha cream and one layer of matcha cake. Still really good and can taste that the matcha is high quality! As for the kinako chestnut, we couldn't taste the chestnut much but there were some chestnut pieces hidden in the cake! I would love to try the peach one as well but this place is quite far. Hopefully I'm in the area when they have the peach seasonal again.

I wish there was a bit more seasoning or maybe something more than just egg in the egg salad-- it just felt like a lot of cream and egg. Also, the size of the sandwich felt a little small for $11. The space itself is alright, and staff were friendly! Parking was a bit hard to find, and I had to circle the block to get a spot a few minute walk away on the street. I'd consider coming back to try a warm sandwich or a latte, but I probably wouldn't get the egg salad sandwich again!

My go to is the steak sandwich (honestly probably only place I order this because it HITS every time). The ingredients used are fresh and great standards! Steak is so hard but they get it every time! Also the ambience is so cute! I loved it so much I had two private work events here where I hosted my team a holiday event. The owner went above and beyond to make it perfect and adapted the menu and drinks to my liking which came out great! I love me a community business and local coffee shop! I'm their neighbor, so we frequent often. I decided to give this spot a try, and OMG! It is so darn delicious!!! I've already been there three times this week alone, smh... diet starts on Monday. The only downside is the outdoor seating. The setup is uncomfortable when the sun is out. The umbrellas don't provide enough shade. My face was covered, but my legs and ankle were burning like fire was hitting them the whole time I ate. The elderly couple sitting next to me had the same problem, trying to move their table to get shade. I didn't enjoy the outdoor seating, which was a shame because it was such a beautiful day. I hope they can find a better shade solution; bigger umbrellas that tilt would work perfectly.

I found luck on Avenue 50 with no meters but street sweeping (No Parking) is from 8-10am Tuesday on one side and Wednesday on the other side. Easy walk to Ggiata. Probably wouldn't be coming back again even if a friend wants to grab a quick lunch, I would contest and pick a different spot due to difficult parking and food wasn't great. The J Stilly -for the price of their menu, you would expect the over all sandwich to shine.. They're not cheap. Decent size but not huge. Bread was what put me off. Bread is quite tough and dry, it was missing that bouncy moisture that amazing bread has. Maybe they don't have a great starter yeast? Content of sandwich was good, flavor was there. But the chicken also wasn't great, it wasn't too dry but wasn't good either. Also sandwich was quite wet and dry at the same time, too much sauce and bread sucked that it didn't soak up any of it.. The Spicy P - same bread issue. Since the chicken cutlet was deep fried it help with it from being dry but it also wasn't juicy. Also very wet sandwich, too much sauce? The Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap -this was great, one of the best chicken ceaser wraps I've had flavor wise. Tortilla also had a good chew to it. Since we ordered the crispy chicken one, it wasn't dry.

Once you walk in you can smell the sausage roll and meat pies being made fresh! They have a general menu of what flavors they have for the day or week not sure. I got the cha gio sausage roll, it's huge and comes with chili oil dipping sauce. So good and goes really well with it. Basically a big eggroll stuffing wrapped in a puff pastry. They do ask if you like them to warm it up for you in case you are eating it on the spot. I said no and took it home to put in the air fryer. I can't wait to go back and try other things they have. Hubby got the Classic Aussie sandwich and the bread pudding, while my son and I got the Beef Pho meat pies and Popcorn Pork meat pie rolls. The beef pho meat pie definitely had the pho flavors and aromatics. This was absolutely delicious! The Popcorn Pork was good, not as aromatic as the pho pie. The flavor was lacking on the Taiwanese popcorn chicken basil flavor that it claimed. It reminded me more of a Vietnamese meat pie (pate chaud), which is peppery with a smoother texture that this one did not have, but it was still flavorful. The bread pudding was good but the texture was more dense reminding me of a banana bread loaf. I didn't care for the dollop of yogurt on top, which took away from the flavor of the bread pudding itself. Hubby said the Classic Aussie was good but was expensive for the size of the sandwich (small burger size). Hubby got the Long Black coffee which was good, but sadly my iced matcha latte was lacking in the matcha flavor. It was very pale in color and tasted mostly of milk. Service was quick and friendly. I will come back for the meats and try the other flavors of the meat pies next time.

I ordered a harissa chicken salad and the guy grabbed one directly from the fridge. I took it to-go and didn't think much of it, but when I opened it a little later, I found mold in the bowl (that's after I already started to blend the salad and ate a few bites). I don't know how much mold was there and how long has it been there, but felt very grossed out. Then I took a look at the date on the package - it was packed on 3/8, and today is already 3/12! Unfortunately I was already too far to go back to them. But I just can't believe they were charging a 4-day-old salad $13 pre tax as if it were fresh. I think I'd probably do better with fast food salad. Now I'm also worried about getting sick from the bites I took. I definitely won't come back.
