I go here everyday, and recently my drinks haven't been filled up. When I ask for light ice they don't listen, so I started saying no ice. When it was barley half filled for a trinta, I asked if they could please fill it up all the way. The barista said she "isn't allowed since there's supposed to be ice in it", and refused too stating her boss won't let her. I pay high prices for half filled tea? That's ridiculous. read more

Sometimes I meet clients here for meetings. This Starbucks makes a great meeting place. I once saw a guy waiting in front for a blind lunch date and as I walked up he thought I was her. I just thought he was a weirdo until I saw the real girl show up. It really made me not miss dating. He brought his dog, I think it was a ploy because of his own lack of personality. Service is great and now that I come in with the baby the baristas make sure that I am able to carry my beverage/purchase out with also carrying my car seat. It can be cumbersome sometimes. I dont live over on this side of Martinez but when I am over here its a nice stop. read more

I'm usually in the City for my morning coffee, but one day recently I played hooky. We dropped Cinzia off at school, then hit this Starbucks for our respective half-caf, tea, and kid's cocoa. We were here around 8.30ish on a weekday and the crowd was insane. Insane. Then they forgot Reno's hot cocoa. On the plus side (bumps to three stars) it was so crazed in there the barista didn't for one-half of a second question my breaking through the wait-crowd with "didn't get a cocoa" and whipped one up forthwith, much to the chagrin of the woman shooting death stares at me while waiting for her own kid's cocoa (who ordered after us, btw.) But really, the crowd was such a clusterfuck I could never go back without serious meds. And though I hate to ding a place based on how many people are vying for their product, it's all part of the experience. So, don't go during morning wake-up call. But, yes, you will see Men in CHiPs uniforms. Nice boots. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with Starbucks. Love: convenience, hours, equal right benefits for their baristas. Hate: chain stores, frappacinomochachocolattes, and paying extra for dairy alternatives. I have consistently had great service at this Starbucks. Even when they line is long, the employees at the register are always the right level of chatty and know when to leave me alone about an up-sale. Starbucks regularly has Pike's coffee brewed, but I think it's terrible. It's really nice this location has the Clover system which makes it quick and easy to try another type of coffee. The last time we wanted to try a new flavor of their smaller batch coffees, the baristas tried them with us and we had an impromptu coffee tasting. Why this Starbucks has obviously much happier employees than other Starbucks, I'm not sure. Maybe because of a lack of a drive-through, no nearby high school for massive amounts of frapuccino orders, or a good manager... Whatever the reason, I hope it continues. read more

Okay, I'm a fan of this Starbucks. It might be that I'm a fan of any Starbucks that is right off the freeway and easy to get to. It might be because when ever I'm in Contra Costa county I'm always stopping by this Starbucks. Location, location, location. Being able to grab a cup of java then jump back onto the freeway is always a good thing. I don't suggest drinking and driving, Hell, live on the wild side. Get that double espresso and jump on to highway 4. Let that caffeine kick in when you hit 680 and 580 interchange. Nothing better to be buzzed on caffeine in rush hour traffic in Concord. My mom and I frequent this location whenever I come up for a visit. It's a convenient downtown location with meters everywhere (we usually walk, but when we've driven there's never a problem finding parking). The local homeless can usually be seen sitting outside...or using the bathroom inside, but the staff keep the premises clean. I don't think I've met one grumpy barista in here - they're all super friendly, make great coffee, and are very patient :) I took my grandma here, and she didn't know what to get. They tried THREE TIMES to make a drink that she would like...she ended up hating everything, but they were sweet to her the whole time. My fault - Grandmas like Folgers, not Starbucks and frothy drinks with funny names! They do have hot food at this location - yum. read more

I understand that weekends are busy but they just need to process orders based on the time order was placed. Waited more than 10 minutes after the mobile order pick up time. When asked to follow up the order, they said they just had too many mobile orders but the customers that walked in and placed orders and they know the costumers got their orders right away. My pastry that was warmed was already cold after I got my 2 coffee orders. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Rudeness abounds here. Standing in line waiting for a mobile order and no one is even tending the printer to see that there are ones coming in. My ticket was wedged under a sprinkles bottle being ignored. When I inquired I was met with the attitude of 'what is it you need', to which I responded, 'I'd like it to be made, Please' I understand that there are people placing orders in line. But if you offer a mobile option than you need to rightly 'manage' to it and provide Service to ALL your customers. Sorry folks but the service in this location SUCKS! read more

Quick, phenomenal service, and right off the freeway! It's the perfect combination for my morning bean addiction. There is a newer Starbucks a bit closer to me with a drive through, not sure what it is but they are so slow!! This one on Center can have a line of 10 people and I will be out the door in less than 5 minutes. It's ran the way a Bucks should be ran. read more

This Starbucks has to have the worst customer service by far. The only reason why I have returned to this location is because it is so close to my house but I've had enough. When I first moved to the area I was super excited that I was walking distance to this location but it has been a disappointment. Never have I been greeted with a "hello" or any greeting rather than "What drink do you want me to start for you?" They almost never get my order correct and I always have to ask for my hot food that usually ends up sitting on the counter for several minutes before I get tired of waiting. Today I purchased a mug along with my drink and asked the cashier if it was dishwasher safe, her response "I don't know" Ok well thanks so much for your enthusiastic response. I must say I stopped going to Starbucks about nine years ago, The only time you would catch me in Starbucks was if the other coffee shop I went to was too busy or I was on vacation. Every Starbucks in the East Bay I have been to has always given me bad service. I dealt with extremely rude workers, too disgusting looking stores, too lazy workers who just sat there chatting not even asking if I needed help... recently this particular Starbucks has made me feel like there is hope! I have been stopping in to this Starbucks A few times a month for the past three months before heading to the hospital down the street. No matter what time of day the workers are amazing! They are happy, they are smiling and they make me feel like I'm getting coffee made by family. I've never had this experience at a Starbucks since the early 90s! It was amazing to see such a happy group of works at a starbucks. And wonderful service! Two workers in particular Celia and Crystal Greet me with a big warm smile and hello! Incredible customer service the best I've had like I said since the early 90s! I will definitely go out of my way and stop at this Starbucks when ever I get a chance! In the morning when getting coffee or at any time of the day I like to see workers smiling and you see that here, you see how much they love their job, they can turn a angry customer probably the happiest person! read more

I like that they are open early. I primarily use mobile order as it is easier to customize your order and does not create delays when one is trying to explain what one wants/does not want. No issues with delays and if there have been any, they have been minimal. No drive thru, so you either have to walk in or do a mobile order. read more

Coffee here is milk down. I ordered white chocolate mocha hot and iced. But I did not order a cup of milk! All I taste is milk, no coffee whatsoever. I had them remake, but all I get is a shoulder strug, no apology. Yet it still taste the same. What a waste of $5/cup of coffee. Even as a gold member and paying that price, don't mess up people's cup of joe. I rely on coffee a lot. Now to a different Starbucks who knows how to make real white chocolate mocha. This is the slowest Starbucks ever, I mean I ordered my drink thru my mobile app and till had to wait over 20 mins to get it, this Starbucks has the potential to be a really great location if only management would staff this location appropriately due to it being next to the freeway. HORRIBLE customer service. I go here once a week after breakfast and every time the group of girls who work there are extremely short and rude, but normally I just ignore it. Today I went in and ordered the mango dragon fruit refresher, and the young girl at the register barely says anything and walks away right after I pull my card out of the card reader. Doesn't even say thank you or ask if I would like a receipt, also was very rude while I was ordering. The girl at the register also never got my name, so when they called out the order for the refresher, I did not know it was mine because it didn't look like the drink I usually order and all 4 girls working just stopped and stared at me waiting for me to get my drink. After a few minutes one of the girls told me that was my drink but that they were out of the dragonfruit. I told her that should of been stated at the register while I was ordering because had I known this, I would of changed my order. I also asked for light ice, and the cup was filled fully with ice and when I questioned it she stared at my drink and told me that yes, that was light ice. I told them once more that if they were out of something to make a drink, they should state that and also I did not receive what I ordered and as I started walking out one of the girls shouted a snarky comment at me. I don't even think this Starbucks deserves one star because of the lack of customer service they provide. Every time I go there it is a bad experience because of how rude the employees are. I go into the starbucks on Center and Arnold at least a couple times a week. Everyone is extremely nice and Jessie does an amazing job of always having a smile on his face and greeting everyone that walks in. You can't help but to be in a better mood once you leave. I have places 3 mobile orders at this location and 2 times they did not have my order ready well after I ordered it, and one time they did not have cold brew in stock at all. They get super busy and slow. Would recommend going to the one on Arnold instead. read more

This location is manic in the morning, even on the weekends, but can be very charming at night. They have cozy chairs inside and substantial seating outside, and even though you either have a view of a parking lot or Center Ave. raging, it can be a fairly nice meeting spot for friends and coffee on a warm night. read more

It is not the Batista's faults, they truly are slammed. But come on, who has 20 minutes to wait before work? This has sent me to the doughnut shop several times.
