It happened again! Even knowing it would take 30m, I optimistically thought an iced matcha may be faster. After 20m it was not ready. I had an interview, I had to abandon it. It makes me really, really sad to waste at all, let alone a plastic cup, and let alone matcha. I think the problem is that this location only has one espresso bar for both drive through and walk in. Other Starbucks I've seen have 2. I'm pretty sure this location could solve its massive daily backlog with another espresso machine. Stop in to order a drink at the drive-thru, usually this one gets busy, it wasn't today, staff were nice and pretty friendly. The parking lot is a little too small, shares with a Chipotle, Dollar store, and Verizon. Drive thru is always a way to go. Drinks were made correctly, they are usually are on point. read more

Horrible customer service. I got stuck in the drive thru for 25 minutes. When I finally got to the window they had messed up my order. They had to remake one of my hot drinks and they basically ignored me. They set my drink on the corner and I had to flag them down to hand it to me. Not that I have anything against the workers, but the service at Starbucks isn't worth waiting in line in-store or in the drive through. You're waiting for 20 minutes for a less than mediocre coffee because they prioritize making online orders over customer service in person. I think Starbucks can do better giving more priority to the customers who actually show up to order and that they actually engage with. I placed an order for Matcha and the barista was attentive and pleasant. As soon as I placed the order for a mint majesty, it was as if I ruined her day. Martinez struck GOLD with Starbucks having a drive thru. It is the most crowded Starbucks that falls in line in the drive thru. The inside of Starbucks is CLEAN. They make sure that it isn't messy. When I order my drinks inside I get service with a smile. I don't think I have encounter a barista with an attitude. One time I couldn't decide what drinks to order and a barista gave me suggestions...that was the best service that I have gotten from them. Parking can be a challenge. This location doesn't have a big parking lot. It is also a challenge to get out of the parking lot with cars coming every second. read more

Love this little corner downtown Martinez location! Parking can be a little challenging, but it is worth it. The team is super nice and helpful and I've always had great results on all my orders. There can be times when there are a lot of kids outside especially after school hours, so sitting outside can be a little intimidating, but otherwise the area is great! read more

I was having a horrible day tbh- I walked in and lo and behold, my favorite song was playing. I spoke to the barista, and it happened to be a DJ from my hometown. We vibed immediately and I felt super taken care of. I asked for a suggestion as I wasn't sure if the matcha was overly sweet but she was able to make some adjustments. When I received my latte, I was stoked on how foamy the milk was, and the matcha hit the spot. Kait is truly a latte legend. Will be returning to this location! read more

Alex listened intently to the problem I experienced at another store, and provided knowledgeable feedback for how things SHOULD have been handled per Starbucks policies/ procedures. He also provided a suggestion/ chain of command to remedy the situation. No one should ever be treated the way I was, and Alex acknowledged the wrong and showed true leadership abilities by expressing how valued their customers are. Went through drive through. I am a liaison and get reimbursed for expenses. Drove through and ordered. Got to front and he asked if I need receipt , I said yes. He said, oh I forgot we don't have any receipt paper. I said I need a receipt to get reimbursed and he said, I'll write you one but you need to can pull around and wait. I pulled around, parking lot was full so just had to keep pulling forward and backward to let people in and out of parking spots. After a few minutes I finally just left. No receipt so I have to eat these coffees I just bought for my clients. Done with Starbucks. Peets coffee I find is much more professional!!! You'd think with Starbuck sales dropping they would try and keep their customers. Just advised all our liaisons and our office to buy peets gift cards etc since Starbucks really goes out of their way to put their patrons out!!!! read more

I've never had a serious problem with this starbucks. Yes sometimes the mobile order is slower as I've watched people who stood in line get their coffee before me but that's fine. I'll admit I'm too lazy to do that and my drink is complicated. But today I watched this lady just be an absolute witch to the gentleman barista. He made the drink wrong, it happens. The other barista didn't know too make it so she went to the cashier. The Male barista even took it upon himself to apologize to the customer and her response was not thank you, not I appreciate the apology but "I know im right". Then proceed to tell everyone else waiting for their drink how long she's waited to get something she ordered. Kudos to that barista for apologizing and don't let rude customers ruin your day. This Starbucks is nice because there is a drive thru and it's nearby. However, multiple times my sister and I have received wrong orders. For example, my brother-in-law always orders a venti green tea and this one time he got a venti black coffee with two tea bags in it...and today, I ordered an iced white mocha and got a mocha instead. I used to be a barista at good old Starbucks so I'll always support the brand, but they need to do a slightly better job at listening to the order here. read more

11/17/22 I am not sure who these angels are that were working tonight around 8:45 pm but they really went out of their way to help me. There were two ladies and a gentleman working. The gentleman was the primary one helping me. While I wish I would have gotten their names, I would love for their corporate office to know that the people working tonight are special and deserve special recognition. I am disabled (but they could not tell; nor did I disclose) and I was there to do a favor for someone else who was not able to help themselves. The staff helped me by doing something special and going the extra mile in the name of good karma. I have genuinely waited more than twenty minutes for coffee here... in more than one occasion. The employees are great, but this location is perpetually understaffed. I know whining about how long you waited for coffee is a very "first world problems" thing to complain about, but when you're going to Starbucks it's for quick 'fast food style' coffee, which makes the wait a bit problematic. Starting a diet, starting the Starbuck Bingo game and not really being well versed in the Starbucks menu, I asked if there were any sugar free options. I was given two and chose one. My drink was great and I'm happy to have a lower calorie delicious drink available. My husband enjoyed his choice as well.
