My family had a really disappointing experience at this Starbucks location. My mom, who has a disability, was accompanied by her service dog. After informing the employee that it was a service animal, she was told that she needed to sit outside. This was upsetting and embarrassing. Service animals are legally allowed to be inside public businesses, and customers should not be treated differently or asked to leave indoor seating because of a disability. There was no issue with the dog's behavior. It was calm and well trained the entire time. Situations like this show a lack of proper training and awareness when it comes to accommodating people with disabilities. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures their staff are better educated moving forward, so this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Stop by this location after getting Kinder's. Did a mobile order had to wait a bit, they were busy, but they looked very efficient when making the drinks and they were friendly. It's a smaller Starbucks has some seating and outside seating as well. They have a lot of that takeout vibe, so they have a lot of people waiting for their order. They got my black tea lemonade right and the have a good selection of baked goods like the strawberry matcha loaf which I enjoy. Right off of Hwy 4, convenient place to get coffee or tea. read more

This is my go-to Starbucks as I had to give up on the Arnold/Morello location. This spot has never served me the wrong order despite being lactose intol and sugar free; has never served me burned milk or coffee; is usually fully stocked; and has never made me wait over 5m, even when they're busy. Honestly it's pretty miraculous. I'm a big fan! Keep up the good work! read more

I've been going to this store for about 10/11 years, always had great experiences with their staff, but recently I got a smartass remark from what I'm guessing is a store manager. I saw her making gestures toward me, sitting in the corner minding my business, looking for work, so I asked " is me being here a problem?" She said " no, as long as your making purchases." Every AM I go in I order a coffee, & close to lunch, I order a sandwich. I said " I'm just looking for work." Her reply was, " well we're trying to run a business." How the F! Am I stopping you from doing that?! I don't think my presence has anything to do with anything! Bear with me on this review. Yes. Once I waited 30+ min for a chocolate croissant on Saturday morning with a mobile order. But they got my latte to me within 5 minutes, and as always it's better than what I can make at home. Even with more mobile orders than Starbuck's has the capacity to fill, these baristas are making good coffee fast. Just uh, maybe don't order breakfast here on Saturdays until they increase this location's capacity? I was browsing their items coz it says "END OF SUMMER SALE". Some of the items were marked $23 and $7.97. While I am paying for the two items of $7.97, the lady rung me up $12'ish. I showed her the price written at the bottom of the mug, and she called one of the lady who works there too. The lady came and she said, IT WAS WRITTEN BY MISTAKE. I was nervous coming here because it wasn't easy to find. I had a meeting in the "area" but didn't realize that my coffee could be so far away. So I went and saw the ad for coffee cups and flavors. I asked them if they had the coffee flavor that I wanted and they did. That's why I came here. When new flavors are unveiled, they are advertised to death, but in some urban communities, they don't arrive. I figured that being the seat of the county, that probably wouldn't be the case there. And I was right. I asked for my free cup, delivered. I asked for the Chestnut Praline, and they had the syrup. I went and waited for my coffee drink. The people there were very nice and I could see my self going there to work on my computer. That's not the case with my local starbucks, even though they are located near CCC. The person pulling the espresso was fast, efficient, and they were soooo nice. They weren't out of basics, they weren't out of special cups, and it looks and felt like they were set up to please their customers. I'm glad that I had that experience. read more

Came here recently to meet a friend and haven't been to this specific location in awhile. It was welcoming, the staff was genuinely gracious, with good communication skills, and efficient in listening to my specific order as the drink came out how I expected it (I ordered a Venti Black Iced Tea Lemonade with only two pumps and VERY light ice)! I also noticed that the outdoor patio was well maintained, and clean, compared to the last time I was here. Too, the chairs were newer and more comfortable than previously. Overall, a great experience, thanks to those working here, and a plethora of parking as it's in The Muir Station Shopping Center where Kinder's Deli & Meats, CVS, Nob Hill Foods, and Pet Food Express are, to name a few. read more

Decent cup of coffee today in Martinez. Not that "Ahhhh" taste that you get sometimes, but still pretty good. I ran across the street from our Hotel to get coffee for my family. Not sure what happened to this place...but after a good crew left & we have come sporadically due to bad service, we visited today only to have my drink made wrong (& the barista was rather annoyed that we called his attention to this), service was slow even though they had 3 baristas & not too many customers, & the store was dirty. We will never go back. We were there 15 min. for 2 drinks & the mess on the counter sat there while a boy slowly washed windows...but the rest of the store was dirty & the spilled drink sat there while customers picked up their drinks. read more

I got a mobile order and accidentally sent it to the Starbucks in downtown Martinez and told a barista that was making drinks about my mistake. She made my drink and confirmed it on my mobile order so that I didn't have to go downtown. It was so sweet of her! She technically didn't have to make it for me but I was so grateful! I've been coming to this location for years. I know staff changes are part of any business but this crew is the best. So friendly and outgoing. My iced pumpkin latte is so delicious. Must of had a newbie make my triple decaf oatmilk latte today. Did not taste like coffee at all....probably didn't even use the right milk.

It was my first time coming to this Starbucks location and the process was surprisingly fast. I don't drink Starbucks much so I don't have the app or any of the added tech-savvy options they offer to speed up the ordering process. When I have had Starbucks I've learned to gain a LOVE for the Dragon Drink Refresher, one of the main reasons I don't frequent Starbucks is because I don't drink coffee (except for the occasional Caramel Frappuccino). My go-to would be the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino w Caramel added. But that all changed when I tried the Dragon Drink, I've come to find out it's a creamier version of the Dragonfruit Drink Refresher with creamy coconutmilk, ice and a scoop of real diced dragonfruit. During my visit I ordered the Dragon Drink, but was accidentally given the Dragonfruit Drink. The barista apologized swiftly fixed my order and gave me the Dragonfruit Drink Refresher anyway. I did enjoy the Dragonfruit Drink Refresher, but I still prefer the Dragon Drink to it. In this visit I also tried the Old Fashioned Grilled Cheese Sandwich after a friend of mine rave about it. The sandwich was soooooo good! I am a BIG fan of all things cheesy and greasy and this sandwich was right up my alley (beware of the grease though, it dripped right on my pants). I would revisit Starbucks more frequently just for that sandwich. Overall this location was cleanly, the staff was friendly and they moved quickly. read more

Finally leaving a review after 100 poor experiences at this location. Literally the slowest coffee shop I have ever been to. The NEVER fail to take three times as long as any other location. I put it my mobile order when I am in Pittsburg, and still have to wait 10-15 min for my drink. The employees move like sloths and cannot multitask. I really like this Starbucks location mainly for its plentiful outdoor seating on a pleasant patio -- and their abundant seating inside. It's a good-sized space, which allows for room for a line to form, rather than squeezing past customers as can be the case in smaller locations. The seasoned baristas know their drinks well, but I have had to ask the baristas-in-training to remake a few "off menu" items because they forgot key ingredients. The CHP are like sharks on patrol in the currents of Highway 4. They cruise up and down and sometimes perch behind a curve to catch an unwary speeder. This is the Starbucks where they get their fill. No time for a Macchiato or a Chai Latte. It's all about the Red Eye: A grande black coffee with a shot of espresso. After a cup of that, they can spot a driver using their cell-phone a mile away. This is one of the first Starbucks I can remember seeing a dozen or so years ago as I stopped by for a breakfast at Carrows. Right off the highway in Martinez, this location boasts a pacific seating area in which to peruse the newspaper or collect your thoughts before getting back on the windy highway. The service is on point and they keep plenty of iced coffee in the refrigerator during those hot dusty days. read more

Normally good experiences here. Today, not so good. I ordered a venti Americano, no water and heavy cream. Received my order and it felt awful light and cold. Opened up the lid and there was less than half a cup of coffee and no heat whatsoever. Asked the employee behind the counter why my VENTI order was less than a half a cup and why it was cold. Her response was, the Americano's are 90% water, and the cream made my drink cold. I could have ordered a cup of water if that was the case. Am I really paying for 90% water? Cream now makes drinks ICE cold? The worst part, they weren't even busy this afternoon. I said I didn't order a cold drink so please heat this up. All she could do for me was steam some milk and put it in my cup, which was still not hot. Had to go back to work and heat my venti MILK in the flippin microwave. Unbelievable!! read more

As a Starbucks employee myself, maybe I expect to much from other stores; but both my drinks were made wrong after I gave specific instructions on how to not make the drinks watery.... my drink was extra watery. Dec 13 came in to buy gift cards , unluckily the cashier (tall guy ) did not validate one of the card or no amount of money was authorized on the card , unfortunately those gift cards was used for raffle and it was embarrassing that my friends mom was the one who got the card , she threw away the card maybe she was upset. , I called the store when I found out today , told me to call their corporate so I did , I told them the same scenario , so the lady I talk with said that her computer is down so she won't be able to assist me and to call back again . This is a sad and dirty Starbucks. The Baristas were friendly and it is a busy place. The coffee is to Starbucks standard, and the food looked somewhat decent if you like their food, but because of it being dirty, it will only get 2 stars from me. The bathrooms were no bueno!, no hand soap and Starbucks napkins to dry your hands on. Because of it being busy it is a bit louder, not a good place to study. Best bet is to order at the window. read more
