I am giving this place a one-star review, even though I know it probably will not deter anybody from coming here. But here is my grievance: My wife and I ordered 2 drinks and 3 baked goods. We order a panini, a crossiant and a LEMON bar for my daughter. Well, we get our drinks and the panini and the crossiant. I wait a little longer for the LEMON bar. But nope, it never comes out. So I kindly walk back up to the register and I politely tell the blonde hair register lady that I never received my LEMON bar. She tells me that she placed it on the counter and it should be there. She proceeded to walk over there and confirmed it was not there. She stated, "Well, I guess somebody got a free LEMON bar." (with attitude) She walked towards the baked good section and retrieved a baked good, placed it in the bag and hands me the bag. I walked to my seat and gave it to my daughter. She tells me, "Daddy it has nuts.". I look in the bag and yup, it is not a LEMON bar. I take a look at it and I assumed it was a banana bread bar. So I walk back over to the same register lady and I told her, that we ordered a LEMON bar, not a banana bread bar. She rolls her eyes at me and walks away towards the baked goods section. Now I'm actually paying attention, and I see her grab the wrong thing again. When she walks back up to me, I tell her that I ordered a LEMON bar, not what I assumed was a banana bread. She then proceeds to correct me, and tells me that it was pumpkin. Well sorry, if I did not know the difference between a banana bread or pumpkin bread. She walks away again and I could hear her say, under her breath, 'I didn't even charge you guys.". Umm, I do not think so. We paid for everything we received. Well she grabbed the LEMON bar and placed it in the bag (by the way, she did not even bother taking off the plastic wrap that the bar comes in) and hands it to me. I am a really mellow person and a lot of things do not bother me, but just the way she was acting was very unprofessional , rude, and childish. This bothered me. Not once was I rude or raised my voice towards her. I know people will always go to Starbucks, because it is convenient and they are everywhere. But I will never comeback to this one because like I said earlier, they are everywhere. I will drive an extra 5 minutes to go to a different one. I have read other yelp reviews about the customer service here and I am not the only person to complain about their service. There seems to be a pattern here about the lack of good customer service that needs to be fixed. read more

We came into Starbucks before 6:00 a.m and were going to get drinks and hot food. The employee working the counter was handling a trash container, she finished putting a new bag into it and asked what we wanted, we were shocked that she never made an attempt to wash her hands after handling the trash container. and just ordered beverages, which she wasn't making. We later spoke to a manager regarding this who promised to educate the employees on the need to wash their hands. We have seen this happen at various businesses that sell food. If you should happen to see an employee using or cleaning a bathroom, mopping a floor, taking out trash, make some noise about them WASHING THEIR HANDS. They have your health in their hands when they don't. You can get very sick from this behavior. If they refuse to do so, or lie about it, then make your case to a manager in the establishment and escalate it to the head office if they don't act on this. read more

Worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I frequent Starbucks daily and sometimes twice a day. The morning shift is slow and needs additional training. Bad attitudes and complains to customers. Very unorganized and they bicker everyday with each other. Constantly screwing up drinks. Asked for a nice coffee with half and half, got an iced tea with milk. They are great at starting your day off on the wrong foot. I bought a keurig and brew at home now. On the other hand, the night shift seems to be a complete 180. Maybe it's because it's not as busy? I'm definitely a frequent flier at this Starbucks location. I have a baby and the drive thru makes it easy for me to get my coffee fix any time. Though they are relatively efficient once you actually get to the window, the line can often take a long time to get through. This is probably the best Starbucks when it comes to offering free drinks when you have a long wait. Unlike the majority of Starbucks out there, this one has a drive-thru. When I was driving up to this location, I thought, "Well, never used a drive-thru at a Starbucks before, why not try it today?" But when I saw where the line ended for the drive-thru, I decided not to. It was a very long line. Instead, I parked, walked in, where there was NO line, ordered a large sweetened iced green tea, waited for a few minutes, and I was on my way. My tea tasted yummy. Service was polite and prompt. I frequent a couple Starbucks in Long Beach and this is one of them. Great perks are that it's open pretty late and there is a drive-thru (they have extended hours for this). Convenient for those night dwellers who simply need that caffeine boost or the tasty frappucchinos. During the morning and afternoon, it can get pretty busy! I always lean towards going through the drive-thru when there is one, but if it seems like it's congested, I just park and walk in instead. I've been going here for 10 years and their turnover rate is high since baristas and manager leave for a better position or place closer to home. But there are still a few baristas who I've seen for many years. And fortunately they treat me and my family wonderfully. They open at 430am and close late. I usually frequent the starbucks by the traffic circle... but I found out a few weeks ago that this location closes at 11pm (midnight drive-thru)! New study place for me! =) Many pros for this place: convenient parking, friendly staff, plenty of seats with plugs, AND there are a bunch of food places within the same plaza. I was able to enjoy my iced green tea with sushi AND managed to get plenty of studying!. This Starbucks is located 1.8 miles from my workplace. In an awesome scenario, I can get here in ~95 seconds. Really. Going 85 down Spring St, making every light and generally being awesome. That aside, this Starbucks has a drive-thru. As we all know, drive-thru's are for lazy people (like me) who have no energy (yet) to get out of the car and order. They create tasty drinks, serve tasty treats including hot sandwiches and pastry type snacks, and have the WiFi's. There is a small outdoor patio area to enjoy watching traffic on Bellflower or the cars leaving the drive-thru. Staff members at this location know how to hustle. Although you might pull up in the drive-thru or walk inside and notice that there are 800+ people waiting for coffee, they move very quick. *Be warned. When you're in the drive-thru staring at the menu or the order box, they have a tiny camera staring right back at you. Don't make ugly faces or silly hand gestures because you're tired of the long line - they will see you. Your drink will be, um, enhanced. LOL. I jest, of course. But there is a camera. Don't say I didn't warn you. Tip your barista and remember to smile because they're watching you. read more

I love Starbucks but the last few times my drinks haven't been right here. I can't drink milk and I order soy milk. The first time my drink didn't have any writing on the cup, the second time I had the sticker that states soy milk. If I had an allergy this would be a huge problem, look at the Order before you make it cause it's a waste of my time. I can tell the difference between milk and soy milk, maybe try repeating the order, looking at the order. If I ask for soy milk I actually want soy milk. read more

Generally I come here to study and get a lot of my school work done. I can't do anything for the life of me anywhere else. Most Starbucks are busy and this one is just the same as others. Although the best thing that keeps me coming back is the customer service. All of the Baristas are nice and courteous and if you come here long enough they will remember your order haha. Have noticed something like a small turnover at the cash registers of all Starbucks. Finally decided to buy one. Knowing it was Starbucks, I knew it would be overpriced at maybe $3.00. But $4.00????!!!! Astounding nerve they have. And the product was virtually inedible. Frosting on top crumbled to powder at the first bite. I did a mobile order yesterday and went to pick up my ultra caramel frappe and when I got there it wasn't ready. The reason for it not being ready was they ran out of the ultra and asked if I wanted the regular caramel frappe. I said sure why not and the barista gave me a card for $4.00 off for the inconvenience. The barista that gave it to me didn't hand me the card just slide it on the counter. How rude plus this girl looked like she had an attitude problem. So, I decided to use it today at the cerritos Starbucks and they say the card is invalid. They said that there no money on the card.
