After moving to the area and trying their coffee more frequently, my tune has changed on them, and I can say that they are pretty good. Their seasonal drinks are usually what I gravitate toward, like their Orange Chocolate Cortado, their Mr. and Mrs. Claus they served recently, and an espresso tonic I had earlier last year that was great. Their specialty Lamba Latte is one of the best consistent things on their menu. What is their Lamba syrup? I could not tell you, but it is a moderate sweetness that does not taste exactly like a vanilla latte. It has some marshmallow flavors and some caramel flavors as well. What I like most about Lamppost is how bright and naturally well lit their space is. The large windows and doors face the east, so once the sun has risen, you get a pretty well illuminated space by the afternoon. It is great for team meetings, remote work, and anything in between. We've had their coffee, freshly brewed and buying a few bags of beans, for a few years now at Taylor markets and we are so happy to see them create a beautiful physical location. I got a Dillo (Armadillo) latte and it was sweet and layered with flavor. We learned that their signature Armadillo milk is their take on a tres leches sweet cream with a 3-milk mixture like in the cake. They had a small glass box of delicious looking pastry options. The location is near downtown and has lots of close street parking and parking spots across the street from empty buildings. The morning light that streams in is just gorgeous with the warm neutral accents of the inside. There are quite a few tables as well as some barstool seating on the main counter. If you'd rather enjoy the fresh air there are a few tables outside the shop in the shade. They have an area for merch so if you enjoyed your drink consider taking home a bag of their roasts for home!
