Its a Dutch Brothers, so of course it gets five stars. Yeah, lots of other vendors will sell you all sorts of exotic lattes. Very few vendors will sell you a zillion flavors of energy drink. Dutch Brothers is the only chain i know that will sell you a zillion flavors of sugar-free energy drink. So you can dump all the crazy flavors in there you want semi-guilt-free. Sometimes semi-guilt-free is good enough ... Especially when there is caffeine involved. * * * That said, there is one crazy-ass feature of the East Palm Valley Boulevard Dutch Brothers that is worthy of note. You might not want to drive all the way down from Temple to check this one odd feature out. But if you live in Round Rock, you definitely want to go for it. * * * Most Dutch Brothers are drive-up plus they have an outside walk-up window. If you aren't dying of terminal laziness, It usually makes sense to get out of your car and go up to the walk-up window. You will be served three times faster than the automobile sitters. The walk-up window might just as well be called the Express Window. * * * 95% of the time there is no downside to using the walk-up window. But exceptions do exist. a) It is 20 degrees outside. You see other customers frozen to death lying on the sidewalk. If you are a nice person, order two hot drinks. One for yourself, and one to pour on the frozen folks next to you to help them thaw. b) It is 115 degrees outside. You see other customers passed out from sunstroke lying on the sidewalk. If you are a nice person, order two iced drinks. One for yourself, and one to pour on the roasted folks to help them cool down. c) It is the middle of a Texas Monsoon Rainstorm. There is kind of a grille-like roof over the walk-up window. But it will not protect customers against the heaviest precipitation that Texas has to offer. You see other customers drowning on the sidewalk. You can play lifeguard and try to pull them to safety in their cars. There is a very real risk you will drown yourself while doing this. * * * So what is so great about the East Palm Valley Boulevard Dutch Brothers Walk-Up Window? IT IS INDOORS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So it can be freezing, roasting, or raining fire hydrants all around you. You are nice and dry and comfy indoors. You are waiting for your drink under ideal conditions. * * * Now to be sure, this indoor space in the East Palm Valley Boulevard Dutch Brothers wins no prizes for interior decorating. The space exists because the Dutch Brothers company bought a pre-existing fast food building rather than build their own custom Dutch Brothers stand to their own company specifications. Their in-house Dutch Brothers' all have the same design and look the same. The only thing that varies is how they route the cars to get to the drive-up window. Now my bet is that Dutch Brothers corporate got the dining room as part of the setup from the former fast food tenant. They did not want to spend any money on that dining room. All Dutch Brothers work with the same relatively meager budget for capital and operating expenses. So they spent just enough to make the dining room safe for human occupancy - and not a single centavo more. * * * The place looks like the concrete room under the stands at a Little League game where the parents sell sodas and candy bars. Totally unfinished. Hanging out at the soda and candy stand is not so pleasant. So you get out of there, go back outside and watch the game. I would not want to spend a lot of time in the East Palm Valley Boulevard Dutch Brothers waiting room. You don't get a free Little League Game when you leave the East Palm Valley Waiting Room. But the scenery around you still dramatically improves. * * * THAT SAID If it is super cold, or super hot, or super wet ..... (You can finish the rest of this sentence yourself.) * * * So the East Palm Valley Boulevard Dutch Brothers Waiting Room has its uses. And we are still talking Dutch Brothers here. I'm a regular. A huge Dutch bros fan. There's no other coffee place like this one! I go here every morning and randomly in the afternoon /evening. Everyone is so warm and welcoming with beautiful smiles and vibes. They make my mornings sparkle. I don't know everyone's names but all of the staff here are wonderful human beings. My drinks always taste delicious and I always adore the sweet notes the staff leaves on my coffees. You guys are that amazing that I had to write a second review. The customer service was awesome, the staff seemed super friendly and knowledgeable with menu items. Everyone was singing and had good vibes. Came here because I've heard about them on the interwebs and had to check out what it's about. I didn't realize this place was a drive-thru coffee shop and maybe you can walk up if you park but there's no place to sit down. I drove through the line and there was no regular menu? I only saw the holiday menu and even then it was really hard to read because the menu was far away from my lane. So basically, I was expected to know the menu. I frantically picked the largest drink picture I can see which was the candy cane cold brew. They pretty much expected you to know what you wanted by the time you get to the employee and they were very close to where the menu is. At the end, they also ask you for tips on the ipad. I love this place!!!! The line may be overwhelming to some, but it's worth it!!! They don't only have coffee if that's not your thing. Unlike other places there isn't a full menu at the drive through so I suggest downloading the app and browsing it prior to pulling up. With me I play drink spin the wheel, I pick the drink I want then scroll and whichever flavor it lands on that's what I order. The staff will walk up to your car and order there versus ordering at the window and they are the sweetest. I have been to many Dutch bros as I went to college in Oregon. The service & friendliness of the staff at this location is well below what you expect in comparison to the Oregon locations. There was not excited greeting, stamp card, talking, smiles, or recommendations given that I went with people who stated they had never been there. The drinks are the same(as it should be). There was a lack of a full menu, especially it being new to Texas. The menu had like 4 drinks total. Definitely look up the menu prior to going if you are a new bee, so that you can make the best decision given all the options. Great drinks. Customer service needs a bit of work. read more

I had Dutch Bros for the very first time when I was working in California. For literally $4-6, you can get a 24oz - 32oz drink which is INSANEEE!! I also love all the customizations that you can do for the drinks. Iced Golden Eagle Classic: This is by far my favorite favorite drink out of the entire menu after all the test trials. This drink consists of Vanilla and Caramel Breve topped with caramel drizzle. For me, it hits the sweet spot of where I can still taste the espresso without it being overly sweet. You honestly cannot go wrong with this drink!! Iced Caramelizer Classic: If you like something a bit sweeter with a deep chocolate/mocha flavor then this is the drink to go. My little cousin got this and she finished it all in 10 minutes. Welcome to Round Rock Dutch Bros! Firstly I must say I've never been to a Dutch Bros Coffee until their opening in Round Rock on E Palm Valley. I tried their Golden Eagle Blended and my god I've never had a better blended coffee. In fact I really dislike coffee but this is one that I've came back to multiple times since their opening. Their rewards app is a must have. I've already earned a free drink and got my half birthday reward too! The only cons I see is there's no online ordering or Apple Pay support that I see (or they may not offer it). Besides those two I've loved my 4 visits so far! Edit: Been quite a few times at this point, and still tryna figure out my drink. It's taking a crap load of $$ so I hope I find something I decided I'm not a fan of the walk up ordering. We waited 16 min just to place our order, but on the flip side the order was out within 2 min, so yay? If you get overwhelmed by the menu, just think of it like a snow cone/coffee shop. Almost anything can be made with any flavor, so when I go I usually just ask myself "do I want hot, iced, slushy, or milkshake?" then from there figure out if I want fruity or chocolate. Starting on the left in the pic, the Cotton candy Dutch Frost. OK first. Ew. Cotton candy flavored/scented anything is always disgusting, and I was slightly resentful that flavor was chosen. But surprise, I liked it. Mostly because it tasted more like an amaretto milkshake. Middle is a Wild Berry smoothie, which tasted like grape jam, which was a good thing. Nice and refreshing. On the right we have the Cabana rebel with soft top, but made with green tea instead of whatever it's originally made with. I kinda blacked out when I ordered this, because there are so many options and I just went with a picture. Pineapple coconut is never my go to, since it's usually reminiscent of sun screen. But again! Pleasantly surprised. It was not super sweet or coconutty. I looove the soft top stuff, kinda like a light marshmallow foam or something. Mixed together it was creamy and wonderful. We walked up bc the drive thru lines were long, and probably always will be, given the extensive menu. The walk up menu, however, looked like it had just the specialty drinks. I want to say they all had prices for mediums and larges, which made it seem like small wasn't an option? But it is, which we found out at the very end of ordering haha. I hope they put up the full menu later, and have the muffin tops visible. I'd HIGHLY suggest looking up the menu online before you go. It's intense. We will be back to order smalls of everything though! Cant wait to try the coffee drinks, and Dutch hot chocolate. Suppppper impressed with this coffee spot. This may very well be one of the reasons I drive up to Round Rock as I live on the east side. The drinks in our photos are the medium! They're huge! The foam in the drinks are to die for! I haven't had a drink I hated yet, to be honest! I've tried at least one drink per section. Now, the menu can be overwhelming, but just decided if you're feeling coffee or something else. The seasonal drinks have been amazing and keeps me excited and not bored. I had the best greeting and customer service interaction I've ever had in my life; "omg, I love your shirt and I had to say something. " "Thanks so much girl I'm digging your shirt too." Huge fan girl here! I love Dutch Bros with my whole entire heart. I'm from the northwest where these little stands are sprinkled everywhere, and it has been so nice to see Austin adopt the drive through coffee model (I won't pretend to be too cool for Starbucks, but I'm still not counting them). I love DB's mainly due to the Broistas. It's impossible to leave in a bad mood because their energy is so contagious. If you want to be called a sweet angel or told you're pretty on a not so pretty day, swing on by so they can affirm you, haha. I also love Dutch for it's white coffee! To my knowledge, they are the only coffee shop in the area who offers it. If you haven't tried white coffee, you need to! It's a nutty flavored coffee that actually contains more caffeine than regular coffee beans. I like to get the following: An iced dreamweaver mocha with white coffee But if you just ask them for a white coffee recommendation, they will enthusiastically provide one. I love this location so much but don't live close at all. Excited to get one in Cedar Park, but I halfway worry that the CP broistas won't be as sweet as the RR ones.
