Good Coffee For All People! Family owned and operated fresh roasted coffee! We've had their coffee, freshly brewed and buying a few bags of beans, for a few years now at Taylor markets and we are so happy to see them create a beautiful physical location. I got a Dillo (Armadillo) latte and it was sweet and layered with flavor. We learned that their signature Armadillo milk is their take on a tres leches sweet cream with a 3-milk mixture like in the cake. They had a small glass box of delicious looking pastry options. The location is near downtown and has lots of close street parking and parking spots across the street from empty buildings. The morning light that streams in is just gorgeous with the warm neutral accents of the inside. There are quite a few tables as well as some barstool seating on the main counter. If you'd rather enjoy the fresh air there are a few tables outside the shop in the shade. They have an area for merch so if you enjoyed your drink consider taking home a bag of their roasts for home! In this area they also have some non-coffee options and kid options. There is a large, clean single stall bathroom and free Wi-Fi. Check out their Instagram for updates on deals, brews, and their journey.

Great coffee and lovely service! The new building is absolutely beautiful and tucked between two churches. Can't wait to come around again and bring some friends!

It's a cute nostalgic space with old-timey instruments displayed in the corners and has a really unique feel. The wait staff is friendly and funny and very knowledgeable about the menu. Personally, I've had the big thick burger and the pulled pork sandwich. Both are delicious. Others have had the chicken fried steak, the lasagna, and everyone I've gone there with loved it. Great comfort food and delicious pie for dessert. Try it, you'll like it!

The fried green tomatoes are great here but for me, almost everything else was a disappointment. Not as kid-friendly as you'd expect. It pains me to leave such a low rating (and I rarely do) but this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had in a while. And it didn't have to be that way so hopefully my review can grab someone's attention. This place has so much potential because it's in such a cool location -- the band hall of an old high school (fun decor and cool nostalgic vibes). I had really high hopes for this restaurant but it let me down. Here's what went wrong. THE FOOD: First and foremost, the food was disappointing... except for their vegetable appetizers. The fried green tomatoes were fantastic. Nailed it in terms of texture and flavor. My husband and I were both surprised by how good they were. Their Brussels sprouts appetizer was really good as well. After that, it was all downhill. I had the Mom's Meatloaf with two sides: Cowboy Caviar and green beans. The meatloaf wasn't bad but it wasn't exactly a loaf -- it was like meatballs connected together? I didn't taste the bacon in the tomato sauce and the portion felt tiny -- same size as the sides. The sides were a real letdown. The green beans tasted like they came straight from a Jolly Green Giant can. The Cowboy Caviar (which I usually love) was so bland. It was like they just poured beans and corn and pepper and onion in and that's it. I didn't taste any seasoning. Cowboy Caviar needs to have that zing (many simple recipes use Italian salad dressing). Moving onto my husband's dish which was probably the worst part. His tomato soup tasted like marinara sauce but we were hoping the filet mignon would deliver. It was simply not good. It wasn't as tender as filet mignon needs to be -- it was chewy. It did seem to be cooked as requested (medium rare) but it didn't taste good and seemed flavorless -- almost as if the meat was poor quality. Now, I know that filet mignon is a much more mild tasting cut and less flavorful than a ribeye for instance, but still, something felt very off with this steak. Neither of us enjoyed it and that's a bummer (especially at that price point). KIDS: Usually restaurants like this one are more kid-friendly so I was a bit surprised. Our kids are 3.5YO and 2YO. They brought a booster for my youngest. It had no straps at all (which I'm not even complaining about because those straps are broken at literally every restaurant). We were in a booth so it worked okay mostly. What I'm unhappy about is the lack of coloring options and kids menus. We were not brought any crayons and coloring paper upon seating so we inquired. The waitress said she'd look and ended up coming back with crayons and some paper placemats to doodle on? I respect the ingenuity but I was confused. They have crayons on hand but they don't offer them to the kids? What's the deal with that? They didn't have a kids menu printed anywhere and the waitress just told us the offerings out loud. So is there an official kids menu or not? I'd like to be able to see the prices as well. Also a bit perplexing. We went ahead and ordered one grilled cheese for the kids to share and I'm glad because it was big but also not very good. The bread was too dense so it was more of a bread sandwich. My kids weren't that into it. Almost forgot -- the fries that came with the grilled cheese were actually very good (got to give credit where it's due). TIME: Our food took forever. It wasn't a fun wait -- the kids were getting super restless. The waitress stopped by a couple times to tell us that "our food is just around the corner." Even though it ended up being untrue -- I appreciate her checking in.

Really glad I stopped in. The barista gave good recs and I ultimately decided on the lamba latte. They also have pastries that I didn't try but next time I plan to! Parking was easy, and I love the style and ambiance this cafe has. I found out afterwards they have other locations and the option to call ahead, so I will definitely be stopping by more.

There are two in Round Rock, one off the square in Georgetown, and the one I have come to the most frequently, the Hutto location off East Street. When I was first looking for an apartment in the Hutto area, I decided to try Lamppost to see if Hutto had good coffee and was kind of disappointed that the latte I ordered was not that great in my opinion. After moving to the area and trying their coffee more frequently, my tune has changed on them, and I can say that they are pretty good. Their seasonal drinks are usually what I gravitate toward, like their Orange Chocolate Cortado, their Mr. and Mrs. Claus they served recently, and an espresso tonic I had earlier last year that was great. Their specialty Lamba Latte is one of the best consistent things on their menu. What is their Lamba syrup? I could not tell you, but it is a moderate sweetness that does not taste exactly like a vanilla latte. It has some marshmallow flavors and some caramel flavors as well. What I like most about Lamppost is how bright and naturally well lit their space is. The large windows and doors face the east, so once the sun has risen, you get a pretty well illuminated space by the afternoon. It is great for team meetings, remote work, and anything in between. I will continue coming back to Lamppost because they are the only place in Hutto that can really bring that sunshine with their coffee. RIYL: Lattes that you do not know exactly what is in them and they tell you to just #trust them.

I loved the various seating arrangements. There were so many different styles, you had your choice. Also, I loved that the color scheme was mostly white with drops of color. I loved the green sofa, it's a really beautiful place. I ordered the Pecan Sunrise, and I sure taste the orange bourbon, which is a good thing. The girl at the counter swayed me in that direction, and I'm happy she did. I ordered a buttery pastry that melted my taste buds. It was the perfect light, fluffy pastry, very easy to pull apart, revealing a moist, buttery inside. Not to mention a guitarist was there performing sweet melodies. Also, they have a nice, shaded patio with beautiful items decorating the side of the building and a huge, gorgeous mural. It's honestly the place to be on a Saturday at noon, kicking off the day.

I couldn't recall if I liked the place or not, so I decided to swing by. The coffeeshop is a really nice size, and the décor, furniture, and seating arrangement were really good. Plenty of room for students, tired souls, or just about anyone. They seemed to like their Merch there, as it was everywhere. I ordered a simple Latte along with a Bacon & Egg sandwich. There weren't many people in there, maybe two, so I could sit and relax a while. It took a long time for my drink to get served, so was looking forward to tasting their coffee. This was a big letdown. The coffee itself was lukewarm and lacked any sort of rich flavor, as if there was barely any espresso in there at all. After an even longer wait, my sandwich was brought out, which sealed all my thoughts on the place. The sandwich was barely warm; there was a thick piece of cheese on there that wasn't even melted (I presume due to the lack of heat). I can't even remember if I finished either of the things I ordered, but I quickly packed up and left. This was the reason I didn't remember the place as its coffee and food are forgettable. It's a shame as the location, size, and décor all work well. I will not be returning.
