Just remodeled, this is the Starbucks with the best ambiance in Davis. Every seat will have an outlet in the near proximity for your laptop or whatever charger. The staff is extremely nice here, and that is the most important thing to me. I have a coffee snob and I get Starbucks because I can customize whatever I want. And if I told you what I ordered, you will probably hate me and not want to make my coffee, but I had no problem at this one! Normally this is my go to Starbucks, but lately the drive through ladies have been quite rude. This morning the young woman making drinks got super rude after I politely asked them to remake my drink because it was too sweet. She literally threw my cup onto the espresso machine and snapped back at me about making it how it was supposed to be made. Starbucks policy is that they'll remake any drink that's not perfect and if I'm paying $6 for a drink I want it to taste good. Ordered this morning via their app on my way to work as I typically do almost every morning. Got there and it was fairly crowded like it usually is on weekday mornings. Sat around waiting for my stuff listening to them shout out other people's names. 30 MINUTES LATER, still nothing. Finally made my way to the front to ask what was going on and they found the stickers for my cup of my order stuck to the counter and not even put on damn cup, from 30 mins ago!!! They offered no apology, no "hey sorry, let me make that drink now for you" nope, just shrugged their shoulders and pointed to another cashier and said "he can get your refund for you". That's it. After ordering from your stupid app like you suggest, sitting their patiently for 30 friggen mins cause I know they have lots of customers, finding out they forgot to put my tag on my cup, not making my food, they don't say or do anything other than that. This is my go to Starbucks to study. They seating is generous and they have high ceilings which I find more conducive to studying. The downside is that when it gets busy it's really hard to find parking and a seat. I also love nice and friendly the staff are. They make good drink and conversations. I normally enjoy a hot peach tea, green tea, or mint tea and power away at my work. If you're going to be studying for some time you should ask to have your drink in a for here cup . There's something about drink then from a paper cup that sends shivers down my spine. Or you can just bring your own cup and get yourself a little discount. Don't forget to sign up for their rewards program and you too can have an exclusive good card !!! But really who dosen't want free refills on coffee and tea and free things once in a while? This Starbucks really needs better management and better employees. I placed a mobile order for a handful of drinks and my iced vanilla latte had zero vanilla. As a barista myself, that's the first thing you put in... My hot latte was given to me unsteamed. They didn't steam the milk of my hot latte and handed it out to me in a hot cup... that was freezing to the touch. How do you mess that up? I also got an americano that was bitter and tasted old. I've been coming off & on at this location since I worked at the Sutter Davis and clinic. I buy my coffee early and stay for a refill. Never once had I been questioned if "I bought this coffee cup this morning?" when I return to the registrar for a refill. Perhaps the female barista was having a bad morning or profits were not as high for that morning's sale...but it was ridiculous to ask me if I purchased their coffee from their shop that morning in order to get a refill. For goodness sake, I was sitting in the cafe in case you weren't paying attention. The barista then comes back with a new cup filled with coffee and tells me that the company no longer accepts and refills coffee out of used paper cups so that is why she won't take my used cup. I then ask her when this policy was effective because I'm sure cafes located inside Targets are breaking company policies by refilling used cups. She lies to me and says this policy "is active since a year ago." Since last week, I've give my business to Peets. So far, the barista I've encountered are honest and not pushy. read more

One of the better starbucks locations, and my main starbucks in Davis. There are so many seats for students who need to study, the internet is fast, and there are outlets everywhere. If you need to study though, I recommend not coming here during the weekends unless you are willing to wait for a seat, because it gets really crowded. The staff here are extremely friendly. They seem to know all the the residents in Davis who are not college students. Also, when they give you your drinks, they always tell you to tell them if it doesn't taste good. read more

I'm hesitant about writing this review since I don't want it to get very packed, but honestly, people already know or will hear anyways. This is the best Starbucks in Davis. The renovations they made included really fancy leather benches in one part of the cafe and a really large wooden table in the front. The big wooden table has outlets that run along the underside of the table for laptop needs. This place also has a drive-thru. Hell, I even like their bathrooms, which are cleaned very often and have great smelling soap. Also, their AC isn't abnormally strong like the one off Anderson. The only reason why this didn't garner a 5 star rating from me is because around 6pm during the summer, the sun will shine directly into the cafe and the glare is ridiculous. This could be remedied by applying some type of sun shade (which they have on the other side of the cafe). Aren't all Starbucks the same? Well no. This is my favorite Starbucks and study place, hands down. When I lived in North Davis, this was my go to study spot because it's tucked away from everyone so it doesn't get that crowded. There's plenty of tables and booths (those were my favorite) and outlets. It does get crowded around the midterms/finals time but during the other weeks, this place is perfect. Since it's a little out of the way, not that many people come by. Their hours is also one of the best parts about this place. They're open till 10pm! It's a great alternative to the arc or the 24 hour study room. The workers are very friendly. My drinks have always been on point. The bathroom is always clean (this is so important.) This starbucks has lost my patronage forever. I used to come to this starbucks a lot, because like a lot of people say, it's a more out of the way starbucks in davis that has ample seating. Now that it's finals, the place gets pretty crowded, and their small 20 car lot cannot fit all the people going to starbucks and the dominos. I wish that they could maybe talk with the other lots around the place to maybe have some kind of agreement for surplus parking. Today's experience was less desirable than expected. I had ordered a coffee and a butter croissant, and there were still a couple left in their refrigerator case. But i guess either the to-go guy didn't hear, or the cashier didn't care to tell him, because as soon as the cashier turned around, they were both out. Mobile ordered while in the store and watched the employees stand around and not make it for six minutes until I walked up and asked to change something. The employee just then got the sticker and then started making the order. Order a bagel that they ended up being out of and when I went up to ask where the bagel was they said they were out of it and put the sticker aside and said they just didn't do anything with the sticker. This Starbucks is one of the better ones in Davis. It has ample seating and is a pretty good study environment during the day when you have natural sunlight. The wi-fi is a bit slow but bearable. The workers are really friendly, upbeat, and patient. And the line is never too long. One of the advantages of this Starbucks is the drive-thru, which you might need to use because parking spaces are limited here. read more

Best location in Davis, hands down. The selling point is their awesome customer service. I came here with a good size group to study, the baristas were so nice and made sure we had plenty of room and even gave us some free goodies (pastries and drinks). We made a mess when someone spilled a drink, but instead of getting annoyed the workers got it cleaned right away and made the drink for him at no charge! I dont really like starbucks - but this is a decent location. Also, unlike other ones in Davis you often can find a seat open here. Great place to sit and talk and drink espresso. Conveniently located right off of 113 so you can easily run off and drive through the drive through. The drive through seems a great deal slower than running in though. So, its often easier to pull in grab a spot and run in. I highly recommend going to a locally owned coffee shop instead - but if you are bound and determined to have Starbucks - this inst a bad one. read more

This is one of my favorite places to study in Davis. It's spacious, has a fair number of tables and outlets, and usually doesn't get crazy loud. Food and drinks are standard that sbux lovers will recognize. The drive through is also convenient if you just wanna get something to go! The bad: Parking can be difficult, there are only like 10-20 spots and sometimes the lot is full. You can only park at the office next door on weekends or later at night without risk of tow. The workers can sometimes get a bit too rambunctious. Also sometimes it gets too cold if you sit under the AC generator. Despite the cons, I come here a couple of times a month.
