Grabbed a Starbucks to start my day this morning and I was surprised that Starbucks had changed from plastic cups to paper cups. I haven't been to Starbucks in a minute so I'm not sure when this started or if it's certain locations at the moment. I don't really like the change but I completely understand it's better for the environment. I ordered a doppio shot of espresso with 3 pumps of white mocha topped with vanilla cold foam. My drink was made at first without the white mocha and so it was so strongly bitter lol .. I mentioned and the sweet barista made me a new one quick! Such great customer service here. My second cup was perfect! Great coffee almost tastes like a Vietnamese coffee. Love it! read more

By far the worst experience I've had at a Starbucks. I ordered one venti skinny vanilla latte as is through app for pick up. Super simple and no frills. I got there and I still had to wait over 20 minutes for my order. Clearly, I don't think it's all on the staff. I blame it on the operational side from corporate. It was incredibly busy and chaotic. Wasn't very organized. I will avoid this location for future coffee needs. read more

I guess I am easy going, when I see lower star ratings for places that did an excellent job for me, I am puzzled. Either way, was in the area for work and of course needed coffee, so Starbucks here I come. This location is close to the Costco, private parking lot with plenty of parking. I ordered my drink on the Starbucks app of course. Highly recommended, saves time so you can just grab and go, no wait ing typically and you earn points for free drinks, etc. what's not to like there. The staff inside both days I have done have been very friendly, smiling, helpful and had my drink ready and waiting for me, just had to pop in and out. The location is very clean inside, looks like your typical Starbucks, seats inside, theme, etc. they also have an outdoor patio, but no drive thru here at this location. After ripping into my egg white bites and downing my grande iced americano, I took a company wide zoom call from the outdoor patio here. I was a tad nervous as you never know how wifi will be at coffee shops, but this was lowkey better than my wifi at home. My head nods, subtle laughs while on mute to show I'm engaged, and the 30 seconds where I actually had to talk were all peak Zoom performance. The egg white bites were surprisingly delicious, but $5.25 for 2 is CRAZY work. You can get them at Costco for $2.83. Price gouging at its finest... but that's really not this location's fault, sometimes I just gotta vent. The employees were actually hella nice and seemed happy to be there. One of them even informed me I had enough points to cover the egg bites, so shout out to him. I would've had no idea. This really was one of the best Starbucks I have ever been to. Literally this is the worst starbucks in San Diego! The manager is so disrespectful in her demeanor and specifically towards certain white customers. I have come here multiple times and experienced her disrespectful, unprofessional, narcissistic attitude. I have never had a problem with my ESA in any Starbucks but this one. We are not disrespectful in any way. She continued to pick at us while working here one day. I came back weeks later giving her the benefit of the doubt, she pulled the same drama, while others had their pets laying on the furniture. She has went as far as telling other employees what ever she has, and they feel entitled to be even more disrespectful since their manager backs them up. I have had enough of this when I quietly respectfully come to utilize the work stations as needed. Never been rude but I will be taking action. It's unfortunate as this is a convenient location for me when in the area. But after a few other disrespectful encounters now and a snobby look and whispers when I walk in it's time for reviews and corporate to hear how unprofessional she handles her job. Considering they are working on Christmas Eve, they were all very friendly. Got the Carmel Brulé latte, highly recommend at 1/2 the sweetness (1.5 syrup pumps instead of 3). Pre-Covid, I visited this location many times as the place I got my Starbucks fix when in the area and particularly if I was going to head south later in the day. I loved it for being freeway close, having ample parking, an outdoor patio area and many tables and comfy chairs indoors. On a recent business trip, a first in 3 yrs, I stopped by...structurally its the same but seemingly with less comfy chairs, less tables, more two person high tables and ultimately the inviting ambience that I liked. Surprised that one of the female workers taking my order didn't listen to me at all! Why do you ask me questions like "do I want it cheaper if it's made this alternative way"and then you forget what I actually ordered and make several assumptions that are wrong? They were wrong for assuming I wanted it cold, I had to remind them it was hot beforehand. They also forgot the espresso shots I clearly stated to add. I wanted and ordered a hot chai latte drink with 2 espresso shots and they gave me a standard latte drink "with chai added in instead" without the espresso. Super annoying as I realized they messed it all up after I got to my destination after stopping at this Starbucks. Next time I'm not trusting their recommendations because I know what I want! I noticed the line was long behind me, so maybe they were cutting corners? If you can't take directions from customers then why work at Starbucks? Why does Starbucks allow this to happen? The WORST Starbucks we've ever been to by a long shot. After our kids walked inside with us and were chatting and laughing with each other and we then dropped close to $100 on teacher gift cards, coffee, and food (with a good tip), an employee came over to us to tell us our kids were too loud and weren't welcome in the restaurant. We shocked at the rudeness of the employee and the outright discrimination against our family. This location is close to Legoland and many families may be tempted to come here but take our word for it and SKIP THIS LOCATION if you have kids or just in general don't want to be discriminated against! I've only been to this Starbucks twice before this time, and it's because it's so conveniently located near the Costco gas station! I am extremely disappointed. I've been going to Starbucks for years and this is the worst one. The lady, seems like the manager, got my order wrong and when I told her she gave me attitude snatched the drink and dumped it out aggressively. My husband and I live in Palomar -We were one of the first customers at this new location -the manager welcomed us and even gave my Gson a free cake pop . We must come at least 3 times a week -and generally have great service . Had some time to kill, so I stopped in here for a Caffè Misto in a mug. The misto was good. It had a good ratio of 2% milk to the blond roast, as a result it had a smooth rich flavor. It was a great for sipping. Service was okay. I felt it could of been a little friendlier at the ordering counter. Came into this Starbucks with my laptop clearly with the intent of doing some work and using the wifi. I order, sit down and then get told they are closing in ten minutes at 3pm !? I tell them I wouldn't have bought a coffee if I'd known, to which he replies " there's a sign on the door". The sign was a sheet of paper note which, call me old fashioned I didn't read on the way in as I was not expecting the place to shut so soon. We have stopped here a few times this week while on our vacation. The service is prompt. The food and drinks are standard issue, so they are consistent with what I am used to. It's the baristas for me!!! Customer service is great. I felt comfortable and appreciated. We chatted about a few things during my time there and they went above and beyond for me each time. The only reason I am giving a 4-star review is because the bathroom l used needed attention. It reminded me of a random gas station bathroom instead of one at a Starbucks. I was surprised. Ahh Starbucks, the usual meeting point for me when I am working with someone. This location was combiner but the parking and getting out of the lot is actually annoying. I don't think the nearby Costco helps with that. The barista was very friendly and she made my drink quickly and correctly. We were able to score a table and even make friends with a beautiful dog outside. So it was a good vibe. I do think it is a bit stuffy inside and that the sun can be very bright. Visited this Starbucks on the way home from Legoland. A venti passion lemonade, 2 shots over ice with 1 pump of pumpkin and 1 pump white mocha & a tall double chip frap. I was in need of more caffeine, so I did a second SB run. I had just gotten back to where I was staying, so this place was the most convenient to stop in. I walked in and ordered my iced green tea. The wait was more or less standard to other SB locations. This locations was not particularly busy that day, but the staff did not seem too friendly. I didn't mind it much, as I got my tea and left. Maybe it was a bad day for them? Parking is found in the plaza this SB is in. I lucked out and found parking close by, but parking can be a pain here.
