We're in town for a soccer tournament, so I was already stressed trying to get everyone caffeinated and ready for the day. About 10 minutes into waiting, I noticed the app had defaulted to another Dutch Bros location. Isaac immediately stepped in with such kindness and professionalism. He didn't act annoyed or make me feel bad at all. He quickly helped place my order at the correct location, made sure the other order was canceled for me, and somehow had our drinks ready in less than 5 minutes! TL;DR - golden eagle is the BEST. Think coffee haagen das turned into a frappe. Opt out of their caramel topping if you generally like things a little less sweet. Very generous sizing of their drinks. Get their APP and sign up because you get a free medium drink! I've heard great things about Dutch Bros coffee and never had a chance to try it until now. That Golden Eagle is SO GOOD!!! We ended up going back a second time to get it again, and a different drink to broaden our experience lol. For those who haven't been here before, a lot of the customers stay in their cars and order with the help of a worker (or two) with a tablet. There are two lanes and it goes by pretty quickly. Or you can go up to the window. But there is no indoor seating, or any indoor area at all actually. Their sizes are very generous. We got their 'medium' which was basically 24 oz. It was HUGE. The golden eagle is basically a coffee haagen dasz but turned into a frappe. They also have this caramel topper as well which made it too sweet in my opinion. So if you typically like a little less sweet, then opt out of it. Between me and my wife, we finished that drink in 15 minutes. It was AMAZING. Went back the next day and got the exact same thing. Great service ! We were here for the weekend for my daughter's tournament and stopped by to finally try some Dutch Bros. Coffee was good but leaving this review for the 3 girls that I had the pleasure of interacting with and getting service from. The first two (forgot your names I'm so sorry!) was a new hire being trained by another girl. Both were lovely! We presented I think an old secret menu not knowing it was not something used anymore lol and they figured out what we were trying to order. Very accommodating, very sweet, and very fun patient! (Had our 3 year old shouting out Toy Story lines) Our drive through girl was also very sweet! Forgot her name but she moved out from Arizona ! Very kind! The closest Dutch to the beach in Southern Cali I've come across so far. It brings me great joy to see Dutch exploding nearly everywhere. If you're already a fan this one is very close to the beach and if you already have another favorite coffee place, you should still try this one because variety is the spice of life. We got our drinks within five minutes, even though the orders went down. We ordered the 911 and the chai latte snickerdoodle from the secret menu. We used our free medium drinks with joining. The 911 tasted like a mocha latte, but the coffee taste was not very good. It was too sweet and syrupy. The chai latte with snickerdoodle was pretty good. The snickerdoodle flavor was also sweet and strong. Next time I would do half sweetness. Being from the Los Angeles area, there are not many Dutch Bros near us so we wanted to visit when we came to San Diego. You got good drinks and good coffee along with some great sodas mixed with syrup and all provided by some amazing customer service, and it just can't be beat. First time at a Dutch Brothers and it was a fantastic, extremely sweet experience. I had the 911. It's six shots with half and half and Irish crème. The good, Dutch Brothers make the best blended drink in the commercial coffee world. Smooth and icy. They have it down. The speed of service was amazing. It took what seemed like a minute to make. I have no idea how they pulled six shots and blended a drink so fast. The employees were sweet, engaging, happy and had common sense. The only thing is I'm not into sweet drinks which is what they are known for but ever since I saw an old episode of Shark Tank I wanted to try this place. I'm glad I tried it. If I'm in the area I'll ask them to make it half sweet. I highly recommend this is you want a sugar high! This location is near the freeway but driving east on Oceanside requires a bit of driving as you need to go to the end of the block, make a left turn and drive through the parking lot of a dead little shopping center. read more

this was our first time trying Dutch Bros. I genuinely was pretty surprised. I thought I wouldn't like it because I really do not like sweet coffee at all. I want my coffee to actually taste like coffee and not just be 90% sugar and milk, etc. At the window, I specified this and they gave me the Golden Eagle with my customizations and it tasted great. It's a good amount in a cup for the price you pay. My husband tried the rebel something and said it was good too. I've seen Dutch Bros starting to pop up over Southern California so I wanted to see what the hype was about. When I signed up in the app, I got a free medium drink so I redeemed it at this location. I ordered a medium latte with oat milk ahead of time for pickup, my usual drink. When I arrived at 10:45 on a Saturday, I was surprised how long both the drive through and walk up window were. There is no storefront to sit down. Just have to stand there to wait. It was still a while for me to get my coffee, in my head I really thought it was one of those grab and go situations, but you have to wait in the same line as everyone else who needs to order. The coffee was just ok. Very standard, big chain coffee shop tasting to me. Not sure what oatmilk they used but it tasted like it was oatmilk creamer rather than just plain oatmilk, and it didn't sit the best in my stomach. For the wait, the taste, and no seats, not sure I would go back. As I don't like caffeinated sodas as well. But if that is your thing, go for it! read more

There was a decent line on Sunday around 1pm, but it went quickly. I tried the SF Rebel w/ Strawberry and Vanilla and it was pretty good. I didn't taste too much of the strawberry or vanilla, mostly tasted like redbull. I would definitely try stronger flavors next time or maybe just the soda/coffees. read more

Asked if she preferred Dutch Bros to Starbucks and she replied that Dutch Bros is less acidic. I don't drink coffee because my parents growing up were addicted (5-8 cups a day). I knew if I started I wouldn't be able to stop. I don't think you can get addicted to green tea, but know you can with soda. The location is right across from a Starbucks and near a freeway entrance, which surprised me at first--many think competition like that is a bad thing. But in reality, competition can be great when you're offering better service and quality products, and Dutch Bros definitely delivered. The only downside is that there's no indoor seating. It's strictly to-go, with an outdoor walk-up kiosk and a drive-thru. That said, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Despite a small rush, they had enough people working, and our order was prepared quickly. I was genuinely impressed with the quality of the drinks we ordered. This location is right off the highway which is great for when you are driving down or back from San Diego. There always seems to be a line but they move fairly quickly. Just wish they have a restroom but you'll have to find somewhere else for that break. Lots of options, plenty of syrups, pick your poison. I had high hopes for this place due to the reviews. Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed. We ordered ahead of time hoping to pick it up at the window, but instead had to wait in line with others who were waiting to order. The pickup window is the same as the order window, so there was no point in ordering ahead if we had to wait in the same line. Ordered a nitro cold brew and it looked nothing like the photo of the nitro cold brew. I believe whoever made the drink gave us regular cold brew. There were no bubbles in the drink. It looked and tasted like a regular cold brew. We also ordered a vanilla iced latte with coconut milk and it was watered down. There was a faint taste of coffee but it tasted like milk and water. I don't know how many times I've been to San Diego and back to Orange County and never noticed there was a Dutch Bros in Oceanside! I was obviously extremely stoked to find out. It's on the far side of a lot right off the freeway, super easy to get to and plenty of parking. It's always busy but there's two lines and I noticed 5 workers at one point so it moves really quickly but I always prefer to get out of the car and order at the window, it's just a little bit faster and you still get the same friendly service. I prefer Dutch Bros over Starbucks for many reasons but the biggest is that they offer more sugar free syrups than Starbucks and as a diabetic who loves sugary coffee, I still get my fix without it spiking my blood sugar although they currently have a no sugar added peppermint mocha that I deeply need but when I went they were all out of sugar free peppermint so I got a iced latte with sugar free dark chocolate and macadamia nut syrups. It was so good, but I will be back for that no sugar added peppermint mocha so hopefully they reup on the syrup soon! I'm begging! read more
