This place is pretty good. However, the wait time was pretty bad for my visit. I waited at least 8 minutes and only 3 drinks came out during my wait. There were 3 employees working so i'm not sure why it was so long. I asked what was in a certian drink and this girl must have been new because she was hestitant to answer and looked confused. I said I wanted only two main ingredients and she said this certain drink was it, but then it came out clearly with a third ingredient. The wait was so long that I didn't correct it and just took it. I have always loved Ding Tea! This has been a favorite location of mine for years, honestly, since they opened they have been my favorite. I love the consistency of all of their milk teas and boba and I love the fun flavors/combos they create. I usually get most of my drinks at 25%-50% sweetness since every drink has their own natural sweetness. Everytime I go, I am always greeted by the sweetest team members. It's really easy to order and drinks come out pretty quickly. I usually like to sit inside, but there are only a few tables and they can get busy, so sometimes it's difficult to find seating. It usually really easy to find parking in the plaza, although it may not be close to Ding Tea. My usual go-to orders for milk teas are matcha, taro, monster Ube, brown sugar, and oreo. I love that you can ask for alternative milks with most of their milk teas. I recently had the pistachio matcha Oreo frappe with boba. It was so good! Might be one of my favorites now. Love the creamy thickness of the pistachio matcha Oreo frappe with fresh boba. I had this at 50% sweetness as the Oreo (that was blended in) definitely is plenty sweet and I loved the balance of the nutty flavor from the pistachio. It's so hot today, but I wanted the best boba in town, so I drove over here! This store has the best flavor combinations for bubble tea. I gave the strawberry oreo frappe with oat milk a try, and it is heavenly! Strawberry heaven in a cup. More options to try something new. My order for the day, Large mango milk tea with double boba. I love fresh mangoes and this is my first time to try a mango milk tea. I got sweetness from the boba and tartness from the mango mix. I didn't realize the drink was a little warm because of the fresh boba, until after I had drove away from the business. A little more ice to make it a cold drink especially on that hot day would have been really nice. I won't dock away too many stars for that, I do like fresh boba. The boba was definitely different too from your typical boba. It was light, not dense. I do like the dense boba, but this was nice for a change too. Seemed more refreshing having the light boba. I've heard about Ding Tea from one of my IG Followers on www.EatingOceanside.com and decided it's about time I give them a try and see what all the hype is about. When it comes to convenience, they are in a great location. Ding Tea is found on Oceanside Blvd and about 15 minutes away from the beach and about 15-20 minutes in any direction from the center of Oside. One downfall is that the shopping plaza they are in has many other dining establishments and there's limited parking. One cool thing is that you can order ahead and even delivery is available online using Grubhub, DoorDash or Clover. Ding Tea is small inside and the seating/waiting area is limited, but that's okay. It's not boasting to be a café. Many customers just grab their boba and hit the road. Service was okay and they looked like they had a team of 4-5 staff. I wasn't greeted when I entered and it took them a while to even acknowledge I was there. BUT, in their defense, I think they were training other staff AND I entered when it was kinda rush hour. So, I'll have to come again to give this another experience. Now for the boba tea... The menu options were staggering!!! Ding Tea had so many options I was blown-away!! So many flavor combinations that I didn't even know what to choose and it took me time to make my order. Hahaha! Phenomenal!! There were honey-teas, oolongs, green-teas, matchas, Oreo shakes and tiramisu-floaters to cheesecake mixes... EVERYTHING sounded so amazing and kept my interest! I was so happy that a boba store opened locally in Oceanside. The "Oreo dream" tasted extremely smooth and creamy with the taro, and chocolatey with the Oreo aftertaste. My SO got the guava, but unfortunately didn't expect the spices included. I came back in expecting to pay for a new drink without the spices, but thankfully one of the employees said it was no problem and promptly remade the drink. My SO was a happy customer! It's great to have a good boba place in the area - but they JUST opened (4.22.21). That said, they still have a few kinks they need to work out. A lot of the employees (most) are still in training and some don't even know how to use a blender (this made us laugh, but really though!)... They just seem a bit flustered. I asked for boba and got crystal boba instead. It's OK, but it was hard... kind of disappointing. It'd also be nice to see an online ordering system! PARKING. Brace yourselves. It's terrible. There's underground parking that's closed off so a lot of folks are parking on the side with their hazards on in one-way lanes. Bottlenecks everywhere + everyone looking down on their phone instead of being present in an already busy lot. People were backing up without looking and we almost saw 3 accidents in a span of 3-5 minutes.. They're open at 11am and close at 9pm. So you're either dealing with the lunch or dinner crowd that's there for the other restaurants. Something to keep in mind when you go ;) TIP TO THE BUSINESS. If you're going to have someone work the register - please ask them to speak up.
