I would say 5/5 for our server. The food left much to be desired and was a huge disappointment. The factory French toast was burnt - twice. It was charred and hard on the outside. We returned it the first time since it was inedible and it came out maybe 5% less burnt the second time. My husband got the huevos rancheros tacos and was super gassy until the next morning. This almost never happens with him lol. Chicken Little sandwich was so-so. The cheddar biscuit was overtly salty. The fried chicken itself had no salt. I do not eat Ham but my husband who tried it said the ham cheese and biscuit would almost make it too salty. I asked for some hot honey to balance my sandwich. I got a butterscotch caramel latte which was actually quite good! Black coffee was not good. We could see the chef from the kitchen window. He did not seem very passionate or attentive. I had high hopes for this place but will not be returning especially after the burnt french toast and the GI symptoms my husband experienced.

Let's start with the gas station aspect, and I have to admit it is sure nice to have another gas station option in Bloomfield. Break Point has 4 gas islands with two pumps on each island. Today, Regular gas was $3.199 for both cash and credit purchases. The gasoline area is kind of tight, especially when consumers park in front of the convenience store's side door, so be careful pulling up to, or leaving the pumps. Inside, the store is very neatly stocked, and the personnel were super friendly. We made a beeline to the ice cream counter and perused their 28 flavors of hard scooped ice cream. A small dish (4-ounce) was $5.25. If we had gone for a bigger portion, 6-ounce or 8-ounce would have cost $7.25 or $9.25. I decided on a small dish of their PB Chip Swirl, and my wife asked for some Coconut and Banana in her small dish. I'm not sure where their ice crem comes from, but it was excellent. The Peanut Butter, Coconut and Banana flavors really popped! Bloomfield Break Point has a pretty cool social media footprint and a wonderful logo consisting of a sunglasses-wearing hot dog holding an ice cream cone and a cup of coffee in its itty-bitty hot dog hands. Why does the logo feature a hot dog? Well, Bloomfield Break Point promises to have "café-style eats and signature hot dogs". They haven't been open long enough to get the hot dogs up and running, but it will be interesting to see what that future component looks like. We had a very positive visit today.

I just chucked it and went across the street to Dom's for an actually well-made cup of coffee. The pistachio flavoring also tasted expired. There was no point in drinking it. It wasn't even foamy. I can make something better at home with my De'Longhi machine. And the pecan caramel bun just tasted like I was eating butter. The place itself is intriguing I guess, but I was just overwhelmed and didn't enjoy sitting there at all. The final touch was that their point-of-sale is on dialup and from a hundred years ago, so it's slow and they have a credit card minimum of $10. I could not in good conscience recommend The Coffee Trade.

I can't believe some of the reviews. The coffee is roasted in house, the syrups are from scratch. If they could fit a cow in their (way too small) parking lot they'd probably have fresh milk and cream, too! Went in yesterday for a work meeting and the service was even better than usual. The vibe and atmosphere here is great for meetings, business or casual. My associate and I split a Siphon Pot to start. If you have the time, this is the very best way to enjoy your coffee. It really pulls the flavor out of the beans, on par with a pour over or aeropress, but it's also perfect for sharing. Afterwards, we both got Cortados, which were excellent, and I brought ice coffee back to the office for the man we left behind to run things. He sighed happily after sipping it, commenting that he could tell it was from J René. Why not 5 stars? The food is ok but I'm not a big fan of the pastries I've tried here. They're "fine". Normally my wife will get one and I'll try a bite or two. She's really into croissants and won't get them from here, saying they're a waste of money. The prices can feel a little steep here, especially compared to other good, local spots. Lastly, the parking lot is so tiny and during busy times of day the road can get crowded as well.

I ordered the iced latte. However I felt like for a coffee shop the coffee options were limited and didn't offer any specialty drinks/menu . They also offered pastries and a limited food menu as well which I felt was little pricey . And the seating is also very limited , and uncomfortable . Not ideal for sitting and chatting for extend periods . Ideally I would come here for a grab and go coffee if you want something nice and simple .

Also some light bites to try, which were not memorable. Items came out quick and got some quick pics before running. As a coffee, it really kinda lacked any notable flavor. No warming spices, no earthy or spicy notes. No flowery or grassy notes, no real distinction between a standard latte. Mostly just milk flavored and a little bit of coffee mixed in. I was really interested in a unique spin on a latte, but didn't really get much of anything. It's not bad, but it's very tame for a coffee shop. It's better than any coffee chain, but there's not a lot different in terms of flavor profiles.
