The place is very concerned about outward appearances, but what about the flavor? That I can report is actually pretty good. The truffle is a brigadeiro truffle. It's a soft and kinda chewy truffle, like a nougat and mochi hybrid. They were very pretty and flavorful, but not what one would call a truffle in the traditional sense. The Dubai chocolate square was dusted in gold dust and has the expected pistachio crème and phyllo inside. The chocolate was creamy and wonderful in flavor and consistency. The issue was the size, the chocolate shell kinda shattered on the bite and led to a bit of a mess in the car. The brownie was good. The chocolate ganache was delicious and the brownie was a little overdone. But the ganache really helped salvage the dish. It's pricy, is very much a place you go to for pictures of you and your entourage living their best life. But the quality is there and below the glitz and glamour there's a solid sweets shop here. For some, the facade may be a detractor, but they got good sweets so they are worth a try.
