Very excited to see this place open! With this being first building open at what hopes to be an exciting new CT Golf Land park - it makes us excited to see what is coming. Staff is friendly and attentive and well managed. I ordered a medium (2 scoop) with Almond Joy and Mocha Chip. You order at one window pick up at another - I think it took 30 seconds for my order to come out. The ice cream itself was rich and creamy - high quality. The price points were fair ($5 - for medium) for the amount you got - the scoops were huge. While this isn't the best I've cream I have ever had - it is the best in the local area and a great addition to Vernon Center. Excited to see what the rest of the renovations have to offer!!!

Delicious ice cream in a convenient location! Coneheads ice cream was great when I stopped by the other evening. The orange creamsicle with pineapple was amazing with a lot of pineapple and orange chunks, and the strawberries in the strawberry ice cream tasted so fresh. My partner ordered the pistachio, and the pistachio was so creamy and had enough pistachios to have a great crunch factor to it. There weren't a ton of people getting ice cream, so it was perfect timing. They said the food truck and the bumper boats should be opening within the next few weeks as well!

While on route to Andover, we noticed a free standing Munson's store on the side of the road. An…read moreinteresting placement, but I understand this is their original location since the late 1940s. This is the Munson's factory location. This is where they manufacture all of their delightful chocolates and distribute them across all Munson's stores. The inside is filled with all sorts of truffles, barks, raisin covered chocolates. They had a whole line of chocolate lovers waiting their turn. Once it was my turn, the young man behind the counter asked what I would like and in what size box. I got mostly dark chocolate covered raisins and just a few truffles. Everything is sold by weight. For fancy, premium, locally owned chocolate this is very appropriately priced. If you like chocolate you'll love Munson's, if you looovvvvvveee chocolate you'll be in heaven with each bite. The truffles are rich and creamy, with outstanding notes of orange, raspberry, or mint. If you haven't yet tried Munson's, please do, or give them to a very happy recipient as a gift!

I had the opportunity to visit their Bolton location located on Route 6 (after a visit to the Ren faire). Bolton may not be their original location from the 1940s, but its the store situated next to their factory that sources all chocolate to their other locations. The outside of the store is BEAUTIFUL and big. You can't miss it when you drive by. I promise. I know because I've driven by it like 10x over the last 15 years and just never pulled the trigger. Well I'm I finally did. The inside of that store is also BEAUTIFUL, modern and immaculate. The chocolate options behind the glass displays and in other sections to the left and right give you overwhelming amount to choose from. My daughter and I literally spent an 45 min - 1 hr in the store just to decide what we wanted for a take home treat. They work with UCONN so they have some UCONN themed or packaged products (Storrs campus is just 25 min down the street). They have packages for that special someone and other themed wraps/baskets. To get the most bang for our buck we ended up going with the "leftover" bags which were broken pieces of various chocolates during the production. Beat decision as it allowed us to try different chocolates. They even have a wall on right when walking where you read about their history with a digital sign. You HAVE to visit this location, you wont regret it. Some of the best chocolate I've had from a local chocolate shop.

The service is super friendly, and explained to us how their line worked for allergens. We tried the tiramisu, mint, dark chocolate, and caramel truffles, along the peanut butter cups. The truffles thicker outer chocolate shell than I'm used to, but the flavors are very good. The peanut butter cup was delicious, and I love how the caramel truffle was mixed with ganache so it wasn't straight caramel in the middle. The boxing was a little weird, as they just stacked them on top of each other. A great place to pick up some chocolates!

They also serve frozen chocolate dipped bananas and cookie ice cream sandwiches. The service is impeccable. The staff is truly friendly and professional, always happy to help. They offer free gift wrapping on purchases from the display cases. The store is very clean and it smells like pure chocolate!!!! They also carry beautiful greeting cards to help with your gift shopping. At checkout I was offered a salted caramel chocolate sample that didn't make the photo because I ate it immediately. I highly recommend this establishment as I'm a frequent shopper here. This is their Evergreen Walk location. I've also been to their store in Bolton, CT which is their headquarters where everything is made.
